It’s my favorite Dothraki War Lord’s birthday! Joseph Jason Namakaeha Momoa is 32 today. I figured that was as good a reason as any to pimp the new movie and post some pics, ya think?

*wipes drool from mouth* Anyway…Khal Drogo may be dead (you’ll notice the use of the words ‘may be’. George R.R. Martin assured a Comic Con audience that he’d “take it under advisement”, with reference to bringing back the character. I live in hope.) but this month, yes that’s right THIS month, we’ll get to see the latest incarnation of Robert E. Howard’s icon Conan the Barbarian. In just 18 short days from now, my favorite Hawaiian/Native American/Irish Renaissance man hits the screen big time. (I know you’re all “Fandango-ing” like mad to get tickets.)

I’m sure Jason, Lisa and their two adorable children are planning a quiet evening at home to celebrate. (Ha! Sorry, couldn’t even type that with a straight face. I’m guessing that Jason will be down at his local drinking the place dry of Guinness, playing music and getting in bar fights. God, I wish I could be there.) In a fitting tribute, I’ll be eating the heart of a horse and giving birth to dragons. Anything for you my sun and stars!

It’s Jason’ birthday, but you get the presents:

We’ve got some images of Batman (Christian Bale) and Bane (Tom Hardy) rehearsing a fight scene for The Dark Knight Rises. You can see director Christopher Nolan in one pic. Then when the snow starts to fall, it would appear that the cameras are rolling and they’re shooting the scene.  I don’t think they give too much away.

I find it amusing that they’ve got falling snow and the streets have little piles of it and yet there are green plants in the shot. I can only assume they’ll take those out in post. One of the local tv news stations reported that residents of a neighborhood where filming took place were asked to remove the flowers from their yards. I’m sure they were compensated for the loss of plant life.

Hardy, who plays the genetically enhanced super-villain Bane, had this to say to Total Film with reference to the mask his character wears:  “Any time you put something over your face, you’re going to adopt a personality and a physicality that has nothing to do with acting. It allows a performance to be free.”
Filming in and around Pittsburgh continues until the end of August. In the meantime it’s bringing much needed revenue to and creating jobs for the local economy. Helping to keep economically hard-hit areas afloat is reason enough to see The Dark Knight Rises when it comes out in July 2012, although Christian Bale and Tom Hardy certainly sweeten the deal.

When I first heard the news this past weekend (from the U.K.’s Sun) that Amy Winehouse was in the process of adopting 10 year old Dannika Augustine from St. Lucia I was skeptical. Then when I saw the pictures of the alleged adoptee and Amy Winehouse I knew the story was b.s.

First of all she was in no condition to take care of a minor as she was taking care of herself at the time of her death. And also because the pictures that were circulating around the internet show an Amy Winehouse WITHOUT her breast implants which she has had for a while.

Not that that is conclusive in and of itself but it just shows how old those pictures are. Just because there is a picture of her hugging a girl from a few years back does not mean she’s adopting.

Her rep has confirmed with TMZ that there was not any adoption in process:

 ”It’s not true” … adding, “I think [Amy] might have met her in St. Lucia, but she was in no way about to adopt her.”

So there you have it.

Alicia Grimaldi is the mother of his daughter and also happens to be Bryan Adams’ personal assistant.

Former American Idol winner Fantasia Barrino 27, has confirmed that she is pregnant. She was in Jacksonville, Florida this past weekend for a charity event where she shared the news:

“You are the first persons that I share this news with. And I share this with you, because I can relate to you,” she told the crowd. “And for a while I walked around figuring out what will they say and what will they think about me. But now I tell you I don’t live my life for folk. This child that I carry. God has given me this child. And I don’t have to hide it from none of y’all.”

Can we assume from her saying she worried what people will think, that the baby-daddy is Antwaun Cook? He’s the married dude that she was involved with. She doesn’t mention who the father is or how far along she is. She also has a nine year old daughter Zion.

Charlie Sheen is stepping up to the plate and paying for Brooke Mueller’s rehab. You may have heard that Brooke was seeking a controversial rehab treatment in Mexico that involved drugs that were not legal in the United States.

Charlie was actually afraid Brooke was going to die. This is a good sign, right? It shows he actually has compassion underneath the crazy. She is afterall the mother of his twin boys. TMZ is reporting that Charlie flew down on a private jet to pick her up. She had been in Mexico for only 12 hours so not long enough to really get into the controversial treatment.

Brooke is now at an undisclosed location seeking the same treatment Charlie did. I wonder if  Brooke will have a angry rant tour after her treatment is done? All kidding aside if she can get treatment and get better for herself and her kids it’s all a good thing isn’t it. That’s pretty awesome of Charlie to step up to the plate like that, isn’t it?
