From Dreamworks (via Collider) comes a series of new clips from Shawn Levy's rock 'em sock 'em robot boxing movie, Real Steel starring flesh and blood Hugh Jackman, Evangeline Lilly and Anthony Mackie (who I sincerely hope is given more to do than what we see here).

Synopsis: “Real Steel stars Jackman as a washed-up fighter who lost his chance at a title when 2000-pound, 8-foot-tall steel robots took over the ring. Now nothing but a small-time promoter, Charlie earns just enough money piecing together low-end bots from scrap metal to get from one underground boxing venue to the next. When Charlie hits rock bottom, he reluctantly teams up with his estranged son Max (Dakota Goyo) to build and train a championship contender. As the stakes in the brutal, no-holds-barred arena are raised, Charlie and Max, against all odds, get one last shot at a comeback.”

The clips seem to give a lot away, but they're probably hoping that 1. we're all teenaged boys 2. we're so jazzed at the prospect of watching robots beat the sprockets out of each other we won't care about the plot. Get ready. Real Steel opens October 7 in the US, 14 October in the UK and Shawn Levy has already signed on for a sequel.

We are less than 2 months away from Breaking Dawn Part 1 hitting the theatres and the movie's playlist has been released building up the momentum for this movie that is going to probably break all other Twilight box-office records.

Unfortunately Robert Pattinson is not on this soundtrack like he was for Twilight but there is always Breaking Dawn Part 2 that we can keep our fingers crossed for.

Bruno Mars' 'It Will Rain' is the lead single from the playlist. What do you think of the listing? Are you excited for Breaking Dawn Part 1 to hit theatres? I pee a little every time I think about it.

A poster for Winnie, director Darrell Roodt's (Cry the Beloved Country, Sarafina!) biopic of Winnie Mandela, former wife of the first black president of South Africa Nelson Mandela, has come online. Starring Jennifer Hudson as Winnie and Terrence Howard as Nelson, the film follows her from childhood through her husband's incarceration, focusing on their love story. 

From The Guardian online: "… one can't help but wonder how much effect Winnie Mandela's attempts at blocking this film's release may have had. Did Roodt retreat from his original battle plan? His native acting union has also been up in arms, over an American playing their would-be queen. Yet Winnie is lent such a overly sympathetic ear, one can't help but wonder what all the fuss has been about."

Winnie debuted earlier this year in South Africa and then again at the Toronto Film Festival in mid-September. No  release date has been announced for the US although December 2011 is listed for Canada. (The film is a co-production of South Africa and Canada)  Stay tuned, we'll keep you posted.

Russell Brand and Julianne Hough are teaming up again (they are currently working on Rock of Ages together) to star in Diablo Cody's (Juno, United States of Tara) directorial debut in a film that previously was called Lamb of God. I love, love, LOVE everything Diablo Cody's done. This is one fierce and talented woman who is going to be around for years.

This fabulous news has been confirmed by the man who will be producing the film, Mason Novick. The Mandate Pictures film will also see Diablo in the writer's seat (she is an incredible writer) as well as being one of the executive producers.

According to EW Julianne Hough plays a woman who questions her religious beliefs after being involved in a plane crash and living to tell about it and decides to head on over to Las Vegas for a life of sin. Along the way she meets Russell Brand's character who helps her find her way. I would pay to have Russell Brand help me find my way.

As this is in the very early stages of pre-production no word yet on when it will be released but you can be rest-assured we will be giving you the scoop because my lust for Russell Brand has only just begun.

File this one under: didn't see that coming. American Idol's Jordin Sparks and Jason Derulo are making sweet music together. Jordin and Jason were spotted last night at Phillipe Chow's where they were celebrating his 22nd birthday (is it just me or does he look much older than that?) and were all smiles as they posed together for photographers.

There's no official confirmation yet on this romance but sources close to the couple tell TooFab they are definitely an item.

There are new clips online, thanks to AceShowBiz for Jim Sheridan's creepy new thriller, Dream House with Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz. I have to say, watching the first one, I jumped in my seat. Could have been the Starbucks IV drip but maybe not. Your turn to watch. Did you?

The second one, called simply, "The Backyard", ends on a very creepy note as well.

I'm thinking, regardless of whether or not I think I know the plot twists, that I'm going to have to see this during the day. Looks to me like that Sheridan has gotten the spooky atmosphere just right and regardless of past problems, releasing this in October is perfect.  It appears as if it'll play like an above average chiller with an A-List cast and director. I'll take it.  Dream House, also starring Naomi Watts, opens in the US this Friday September 30.
