While I don't care for Sarah Palin (or politics in general) I can't say I blame Bristol Palin for confronting the heckler dude who called her mom a whore after she was riding a mechanical bull at the Saddle Ranch on the Sunset Strip last night.

I mean how dare he. It's so typical that a woman gets attacked either for her looks or for being a whore. When are we going to be applauded for being whores. That takes skills dammit and not everyone can be a whore. Seriously though, if this man has a beef with Sarah Palin he should confront her, not her daughter, Bristol. 

But he didn't just attack Sarah Palin, as Bristol was riding the mechanical bull he shouted:

"Did you ride Levi like that?"

What a crass pig. And then he attacked her mom not only calling her a whore but evil.  After she got off the bull and confronted him she asked him:

"Is it because you're a homosexual and that's why you hate her?"

He confirmed yes and then asked her why she asked that to which she replied:

"Because I can tell you are."

I don't know enough about Sarah Palin's politics to know how being homosexual factors into this but either way it was just really all uncalled for. I think all things considered (and not including the homosexual reference) Bristol really kept calm and handled herself really well. She kept asking him why her mom was evil.

Some very cool new posters were released for upcoming fall films this week, including first posters for The Rum Diary with Johnny Depp and The Iron Lady with Meryl Streep, and new posters for Puss in Boots with Puss…I mean Antonio Banderas, We Need to Talk About Kevin and  Dream House

The Rum Diary is based on the book by Hunter S. Thompson in which Depp plays Paul Kemp, a freelance journalist who finds himself midst a group of lost souls all bent on self-destruction and at a critical turning point in his life, all while writing for a run-down newspaper in the Caribbean.  The Rum Diary costarring Amber Heard, Aaron Eckhart, Giovanni Ribisi, Richard Jenkins and Michael Rispoli will be released October 28 in the US and 4 November in the UK.

The Iron Lady stars Meryl Streep as Great Britain's first female prime minister, Margaret Thatcher and it's a role that is already garnering Oscar buzz (surprise surprise). The film looks at her political and personal life with a focus on the price she paid for power. The Iron Lady costars Jim Broadbent as Thatcher's husband Denis and will be released December 16 in the US and 6 January in the UK.

Puss in Boots is a prequel to Dreamworks' successful Shrek series and follows the eponymous cat (voiced by Banderas) and new friends Kitty Softpaws (Salma Hayak) and Humpty Dumpty (Zack Galifianakis) along with Jack and Jill (Billy Bob Thornton, Amy Sedaris) before they meet Shrek and Co.  Puss in Boots opens in 3D on November 4 in the US and Canada and 9 December in the UK.

We Need to Talk About Kevin stars Tilda Swinton and John C. Reilly as the parents of a 17 year old serial killer. Swinton tries to deal with her a mother's grief and feelings of responsibility for her child's actions — by writing to her estranged husband. We Need to Talk About Kevin will be released in the UK on 21 October and then get a limited (awards qualifying) US release on December 2.

Finally, we have a new UK version of the Dream House poster. Dream House is the film on which Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz fell in love. That's all you need to know.  Seriously, it's about a family that moves into a new home then find out that the previous occupants were brutally murdered within. Dream House will be released September 30 in the US.

Fergie (Stacy Ferguson) of the Black Eyed Peas was on hand at the Las Vegas Madame Tussaud's to unveil her wax figure which not only looks more like her than she does these days, but she made out with it a little bit.  I don't blame her. It's quite attractive. Sort of. I'm conflicted.

Isn't it amazing how a haircut can totally change a person's look? Same with Vanessa Hudgens, right? Although I'm sorry to say in her case it was a mistake. She looks better in longer hair as does Fergie.

Fergie and the Black Eyed Peas have been confirmed to perform at the Michael Jackson Tribute Concert that will take place in Wales. The 'Michael Forever' tribute will be at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium on October 8.

We've got your Jason Statham and Jennifer Lopez fix right here. The incendiary pair were spotted again in South Beach, continuing to film Parker, which is hugely talented director (and husband of Helen Mirren) Taylor Hackford's new thriller based on a novel by Donald Westlake (whose other books have been turned into films like Payback and The Hot Rock, among others. He also wrote the screenplay for The Grifters)  

Parker revolves around a thief who, though at times is forced to be a killer, still lives by a code of honor that includes never stealing the money of people who need it. His word is his bond, and if he is crossed he will strike back relentlessly. When Parker (Statham) turns down a job offer to pull off a jewel heist, he narrowly escapes with his life. He then teams up with a female real estate agent (Lopez) who is familiar with the local town and has nothing to lose to find the target of the heist so they can steal the loot for themselves. 

The film costars Nick Nolte (who is suddenly getting all sorts or work), Clifton Collins, Jr., Wendell Pierce, Patti Lupone and Michael Chiklis and will open in the US on October 12, 2012. We'll continue to feed your 'Stath' and 'JLo' habits. We score, you score.

Something tells me that newly single Lea Michele won't be for too much longer as she steps out in this hot pink mini and silver platform sandals, both by Michael Kors, with Melinda Maria baubles to attend a charity luncheon event at the Beverly Hills Michael Kors outpost.  Is this not the hottest shade of pink?  The colour suits Lea so well especially with her dark waves and tanned skin. 

The newest and leggiest Dancing with the Stars cast member, Kristin Cavallari, isn't letting her broken engagement get her down as she also flaunts her gams in a lacy blush-nude mini frock with matching pumps and black clutch bag when she stepped out in West Hollywood this week.  You know what they say … what's one man's loss is another man's gain.  Speaking of which, did you see her DwtS premiere this week?  If you ask me, she and Mark Ballas looked very "comfortable" together.  Just sayin'.

Whip or no whip, Emmy Rossum proves that you can still look still stylish and tasteful in this black leather shift with Brian Atwood pumps and Lena Erziak clutch when she attended the What's Your Number? premiere in Los Angeles this week.  Hayden Panettiere reveals her more sophisticated side in this black ensemble and equally sophisticated accessories while advocating voters' rights in D.C. this week.  And Selena Gomez keeps it simple and chic as she turns out to support former beau Taylor Lautner in L.A. at the premiere of his action flick Abduction in (literally) head-to-toe black with suede miniskirt, glittery top and t-strap sandals.  Worry not folks.   Justin Bieber was by her side and was also decked out in head-to-toe black.    Awwww … they even dress alike.  Young love! 

Paula Abdul has the It Factor as she puts every woman's fear of horizontal stripes to rest in this silver, gold and navy metallic number from Balmain Fall 2011 when she attended the "The X-Factor" World Premiere in Hollywood Wednesday night.  Accessorizing her look was a navy YSL clutch and gold jewellery but not before completing it with Ruthie Davis platform pumps with spiked "don't mess with me" heels and red soles.  (Did I just say "red soles"?  Mr. Louboutin will be so NOT happy.)  Now I ask you, are those killer heels or not? 

Anna Faris is an A-lister in an ivory silk strapless dress when she arrived at the L.A. premiere of What's Your Number at the Regency Village Theatre in Westwood, California on September 19th.  The bow sweetens it, and I like the fact that she kept her accessories to a minimum with a gold metallic clutch. While the dress is heavenly, the spiked shoes are wicked and I do mean that in a very good way.  Don't you like the contrast?  I love the way one compliments the other. 

Attending the London premiere on September 21st of her latest film, the espionage thriller The Debt, Helen Mirren, 66, is regal in this silk crimson midi skirt and jacket ensemble with matching ruby jewels.  The jacket which wraps and ties at the back shows off her trim figure while the neckline frames her beautiful face and décolletage.  Meanwhile, back in New York, Ivanka Trump holds court at the 2011 New Yorkers for Children Fall Gala in New York on September 20th and also shows off her willowy figure in a stunning crimson silk strapless gown with train.  The look is effortless with matching gold clutch and necklace, and her blonde hair pulled up into an elegant bun shows off her toned neck and shoulders.  It's hard to believe that Ivanka gave birth to her beautiful daughter Arabella Rose only in July! 

Bombshell Sofia Vergara lights up the red carpet draped in this little blue strapless number when she attended the 63rd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards Cocktail Reception Honoring Nominees for Outstanding Performances.  Completing the look was her Daniel Swarovski clutch (retailing for – gulp – $1,000.00) and platform pumps.  (Wrap a potato sack around this woman, and she'll still look great!)  Also electric in blue, is sizzling mommy-to-be Beyonce who shows off the most glamorous baby bump in Hollywood in a Roberto Cavalli tunic and blazer ensemble on Wednesday at the launch of her new fragrance, Beyoncé Pulse, at Manhattan's Dream Downtown Hotel.

This is for "Fearless Leader" who is seriously enamored of Canadian cutie Kiefer Sutherland. It looks like he's returning to series television, which means she'll be lost to us for at least an hour every week. Dateline is reporting that creator/writer Tim Kring's pilot for a drama called "Touch", which was shot this past summer starring Sutherland, has been given a 13 episode order by Fox and will be added to their lineup next Spring.

"TOUCH is a distinct and colorful drama in which science and spirituality intersect with the hopeful premise that we are all interconnected, tied in invisible ways to those whose lives we are destined to alter and impact.

At the center of TOUCH is MARTIN BOHM (Sutherland), a widower and single father, haunted by an inability to connect to his mute 11-year-old son, JAKE (David Mazouz). After multiple failed attempts at keeping Jake in school, Martin is visited by CLEA HOPKINS (Gugu Mbatha-Raw), a social worker sent to evaluate Jake’s well-being. Everything changes when Martin discovers that Jake possesses the gift of staggering genius – the ability to see things that no one else can and the patterns that connect seemingly unrelated events.
