Courtney Stodden Gets Reality Show

Courtney Stodden Gets Reality Show

Gee. Didn't see this coming. Child bride Courtney Stodden who looks less like a child and more like a seasoned stripper not that there’s anything wrong with that  who married that really old dude (well compared to her, that is) from Green Mile Doug Hutchison is getting a reality show so we can see her make her gross sex faces one half hour at a time.

I firmly believe this was the plan all along. And the skeptic in me thinks this isn't a 'real' marriage in the sense they actually are doing the deed (excuse me while I dry-heave), but it's all for publicity's sake because both need money. She clearly needs attention and fame, not to mention a TV to watch herself on so she can see how ridiculous her pouty faces look.

Her mother, Krista Keller is their momager (move over Kris Jenner) and says:

"It's going to show people what they can teach each other from different generations," she told E! News. "They're going to touch on family issues. There was a lot of judgment about their marriage from Doug's side of the family, so it will touch on bringing families back together and why it's important to support family members even if you don't agree."

While I agree with that in theory, I still think this is all a crock of poo poo. But I have to watch. At least just once because I'm sick like that. The show has not begun to shoot and the name has been picked out (although we will have to wait in anticipation). The couple have released a statement:

We are so thrilled that we are in business with Merv Griffin Entertainment and Roy Bank," they said in a statement. "[Bank] is a delightful man, and we know the show is going to be successful.

Her momanger believes the show is going to be a huge hit no matter what and goes on to say:

"Courtney is No. 1 in ratings for whatever she does,"

You mean like her singing? I doubt it, but okay. Will you be watching?

Minka Kelly Visits David Letterman (VIDEO)

Minka Kelly Visits David Letterman (VIDEO)

Minka Kelly was on David Letterman last night promoting her new series Charlies' Angels when they got onto the topic of her turning down Playboy. Turns out a former Playmate wanted to manage the gorgeous actress and offered to get her a job at a plastic surgeon where in return for her office skills she'd get plastic surgery.

I know a lot of people would think DEAL, but Minka is gorgeous and doesn't need it and thankfully at the tender age of 19 she realized that:

"I was 19. She was very seductive and said that she wanted to manage me and that I had a lot of potential," Kelly said. "She said that she could get me a job at this doctor's office in return for plastic surgery which I would need to be a Playboy Playmate."

"When I told her that I didn't want that, she said I would never be Playmate of the Year and I said, 'I think that's okay. I'm okay with that.'"

"All I needed was lipo, fake breasts, a few veneers and all kinds of stuff," the actress laughed

Can you imagine telling a 19 year old they need all that? Who needs Playboy? David Letterman told her 'the stuff you have is fine'. No kidding! David has a major man-crush on her former boyfriend of 3-1/2 years Derek Jeter and of course brings that up as well!

First Poster for Son of No One with Channing Tatum!

First Poster for Son of No One with Channing Tatum!

"Serve. Protect. Lie"

Son of No One, directed by Dito Montiel (FightingA Guide to Recognizing Your Saints - both with Channing Tatum. I'm seeing a pattern here) is another film I vaguely remember hearing about, but not much else that is getting a fall push. Aside from the aforementioned Mr. Tatum,   has a rather impressive cast including Ray Liotta, Katie Holmes, Tracy Morgan, "with" (which usually means teeny tiny part) Juliette Binoche and Al Pacino.

The imdb synopsis: "A young cop is assigned to a precinct in the working class neighborhood where he grew up, and an old secret threatens to destroy his life and his family."

I love a good cop movie. I'm not really a fan of Channing Tatum, but I'm apparently in the minority. He gets top billing here and in his next film, which will probably play more to his strengths, in Steven Soderbergh's Magic Mike, returning to his roots playing male stripper Mike Martingano in a script that's loosely based on his own days as a dancer. The poster for Son of No One does manage to make him appear 'cop-like'. The premise sounds good too.  Son of No One opens November 4 in the US (it opened in July in Japan and The Netherlands and will be on dvd in Brazil in October.) This makes me skeptical. We'll see.

New Trailer for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo with Daniel Craig!

New Trailer for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo with Daniel Craig!

Okay, color me officially excited for David Fincher's remake of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. I had not been convinced such a film was needed, particularly so soon after Tomas Alfredson's fantastic version of the Stieg Larsson novel. A film so good that Alfredson was handed the reins of Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy? Would Rooney Mara live up to Noomi Rapace's performance. A performance so good that it has made her a star in the English language anyway?  Well, while I'm still not convinced it was necessary, if it had to be made, I'm glad it was made by Fincher and with the cast that he managed to assemble.

This trailer must be for theatrical release because it's pretty long as trailers go, at well over three minutes. It also lays out the film pretty well for someone who still knows nothing about the source material and should satisfy anyone who is. I miss the cover of Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song" playing in the background like the first trailer but this is pretty damn cool. Watch and be dazzled.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo with Daniel Craig, Rooney Mara, Christopher Plummer, Robin, Wright, Joely Richardson, Stellan, Skarsgard, Julian Sands, Steven Berkoff and Goren Visnjic opens in the US and Canada and on 26 December in the UK.
