Very Cool Motion Poster for The Darkest Hour!

First Look at The Darkest Hour!

It's been more than a month since we gave you a first look at some images, concept art and the first trailer forThe Darkest Hour so we were due.  Check out this extremely cool new motion poster for the 3D film.

Filmed on location in Russia, The Darkest Hour follows five young people who find themselves stranded in Moscow, fighting to survive in the wake of a devastating alien attack.

Still not thrilled about the 3D, but I really liked the trailer and it did leave me with the impression this could be a lot of fun. As I said before, it may or may not have anything to offer the ever expanding 'alien-invasion genre', other than "the classic beauty of Moscow", but that might just be enough. Is it just me or are aliens the new vampires

This year alone we've had Cowboys & Aliens, the mecha aliens of Transformers 3, the aliens of the Green Lantern corps, Super 8I am Number FourPaulBattle Los Angeles, Apollo 18 and even Mars Needs Moms. Next year we'll get PrometheusMen in Black IIIStar Trek 2John Carter, even the new Superman: Man of Steel can be counted. There are as many variations on the theme as there are sparkles on Edward.

The Darkest Hour stars Emile Hirsch (also soon to be seen in Killer Joe), Olivia Thirlby (JunoSolitary Man), Max Minghella (SyrianaThe Social Network), Rachel Taylor ("Grey's Anatomy") and Joel Kinnaman ("The Killing", The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo) and many Russians. It's scheduled for a December 23 release in the US and 13 January in the UK.

Michaele Salahi Was NOT Kidnapped, She Ran Off With Journey Guitarist

Michaele Salahi Was NOT Kidnapped, She Ran Off With Journey Guitarist

Earlier today Real Housewives of Attention Whoredom husband Tareq Salahi contacted the authorities several times when his wife Michaele Salahi didn't return home after being gone for a day and she didn't take any personal belongings.

When the news first broke TMZ confirmed they had been talking with Tareq on the phone and the guy was actually crying and extremely upset at the thought that his wife was kidnapped. I believe she missed a hair appointment. My husband would fire up the space ship if I missed a hair appointment because alien abduction would be the only reason.

Then when the authorities were involved and said they spoke with Mrs. Attention Whoredom they confirmed she is safe and sound. Mr. Attention Whoredom didn't believe it and believed she was under duress during those phone calls and forced to say those things.

Well it turns out that Michaele Salahi is boning Journey's lead guitarist Neal Schon, who she also happened to date back in the day. This is the reason she didn't want her husband to know where she was and had no plans to return home.

Part of me really feels for Tareq (the part that is hoping that this story is true and that he was genuinely upset), but the jaded side thinks this is all for publicity sake. Who can believe anything these two say?

They crashed a White House party and told a bunch of lies after that just to get themselves in the press.

What do you think? Publicity stunt or she's turning her whoreish attention elsewhere?

Poster and Trailer for Goon!

Poster and Trailer for Goon!

Okay, color me crazy, but Michael Dowse's new hockey comedy, Goon, looks pretty funny. (Dowse is responsible for the under-rated indie comedy It's All Gone Pete Tong  as well as the forgettable Take Me Home Tonight from earlier this year.) Maybe it's because I like hockey. Maybe it's because I liked the grand-daddy of hockey comedies, Slap Shot (with Paul Newman) and I even liked Mystery, Alaska(with Russell Crowe.) Mystery's not really in the same vein as Goon, but Slap Shot sure is.

I'm not a devoted Seann William Scott fan by any stretch, but Kim Coates (who is so brilliant in "Sons of Anarchy") yelling at his players might be enough to get me into the theater. And I absolutely love that big ole daddy bear Liev Schreiber is the villain here.

The synopsis is: "Goon is the story of Doug Glatt (Scott), a down-on-his-luck bouncer, who’s been touched by the fist of God. Upon discovering both his right hook and skates, he joins a hockey team destined for the cellar and inspires them into the playoffs." (Although if you aren't instantly hooked by the trailer it probably doesn't matter.)

Goon stars Scott, Schreiber, Coates, Jay Baruschel, the wonderful Allison Pill and Eugene Levy. Currently without a release schedule,Goon screened at TIFF and was picked up by Magnolia’s Magnet Pictures for distribution.

CONFIRMED: Christina Aguilera Staying On ‘The Voice’

Christina Aguilera - The Voice

Christina Aguilera - The Voice

This week the internets were in overdrive at the rumors and speculation that Christina Aguilera was getting fired from her new show The Voice. Well we can confirm that is NOT the case as The Grand Fromage of The Voice Mark Burnett, spoke with E! Online's Marc Malkin and gave him the exclusive:

"You're the first person I've spoken to about this," Burnett said at this morning's Emmys red carpet rollout with Jane Lynch (Burnett's producing Sunday's big awards show). "Christina is absolutely staying. She is not going anywhere, 100 percent. We were emailing with Christina yesterday. They're all back."

Burnett hinted at how he thinks the rumor got started.

"It's ridiculous," he said. "You know what it is? Nervous other shows. So you know what I say [to that]? 'Good try.' "

While she got on our nerves a little bit last season, you need to have that estrogen injected into the show. She's a great mentor and an incredible singer.

The Voice returns to us on February 5 right after Super Bowl XLVI. Will you be watching? Hell Yeah!

Charlie Sheen and Dad Martin’s Apocalyptic Spoof (VIDEO)

Charlie Sheen and Dad Martin's Apocalyptic Spoof (VIDEO)

Charlie Sheen is promoting his upcoming Comedy Central Roast (which airs Monday, September 19) with a video spoof taken right out of the pages of his dad Martin Sheen's Apocalypse Now movie.

The video starts with a voice over of Charlie Sheen saying 'I was going to worst place in the world – cable.' With the exception of the word 'cable' that is a direct line from Apocalypse Now.

Cut to Charlie  in a pool with camouflage on his face and of course a couple of sexy girls by the pool when his father yells at him and tells him to come in the house: 'Charlie get inside and wash your face. It's past your bedtime.'

As the girls are walking away they can be heard saying: 'His father used to be the President'. Referencing of course Martin Sheen's role in The West Wing.

It's a cute video and it's nice to see Charlie Sheen back to healthy. And it's always nice seeing his iconic father. Watch the video and let us know what you think.

WATCH: The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn-Part 1 Trailer and Stills

WATCH: The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn-Part 1 Trailer and Stills

Okay Twi-hards…Gird 'Yer Loins!

MTV, by way of Yahoo Movies, has a brand new trailer for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn-Part 1 that picks up where the one that's been online since the MTV Movie Awards end. It has glimpses of all the things your freaky, sparkly little hearts have been waiting for: the walk down the aisle where Bella's father inexplicably hands her over to a vampire, Jacob and Bella continuing their angsty-flirty dance of farewell, hints at the wedding night and the blissful aftermath, snarling wolves who apparently want to eat Bella and her baby and lots of snarling Eddie Cullen.

The plot, for anyone out there interested who doesn't already know, revolves around the Quileute and the Volturi as they close in on expecting parents Edward and Bella, whose unborn child poses different threats to the wolf pack and vampire coven.

There are some caps of the trailer below. I love the fact that Jacob got so mad at receiving the invite to Bella's wedding he had to rip his shirt off and run in the rain.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn-Part 1, which just misses this year's award for longest title (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 beat it by one word), opens November 18 on most of the planet and was directed by Bill Condon who brought us Dreamgirls andChicago. Is there any chance of a musical number?
