Pop-rock fans may remember 18-year-old Shane Harper from his video for “Dance With Me,” which made a splash on the pop music scene last summer. Since then the triple threat actor, dancer, and musician has been busy writing and recording his self-titled debut album with industry hit-maker Adam Anders, the musical producer for Glee.

The 9-song record is available now on iTunes, and features his latest single “One Step Closer.”  Fans can stream the Jason Mraz-influenced track now on Shane’s YouTube page.

Hugh Jackman 42, is the cover boy for the October, 2011 issue of Men’s Fitness Magazine and as always looks like a very delicious and delectable DILF.  And we have his incredible career to thank for that because otherwise he wouldn’t be so DILFy and more stringy:

“I don’t really enjoy training. People say it’s addictive, but I’m like, ‘Not so much,’” Jackman says. “If I weren’t getting paid or didn’t have a character like Wolverine to maintain, I would just be a tall, lean, fit guy.

Still quite possibly DILFy nonetheless. To train for the Wolverine movie he had to consume 6,000 calories a day and work his sweet DILFy buns off but it’s getting harder (pun totally intended):

“Over the past three or four years it’s gotten a lot tougher,” “I have to eat a stricter diet. I have to train even harder. I can’t get away with what I used to.”

Preach it sister. It does get harder but totally worth it. Hugh Jackman’s latest movie is Real Steel hits theatres October 7.

The critics who saw Madge’s latest directorial effort, W.E., in Venice last week were not exactly kind. They all agree on one thing, it LOOKS gorgeous, filled with pretty people, spectacular locations and, sumptuous costumes and set decorations etc, but there’s really no “there” there.

Such a shame. The plot sounds like fun. Andrea Riseborough plays Wallis Simpson, the American divorcee for whom King Edward VIII  (James D’Arcy) famously gave up the throne of England,(For the woman he loved,) juxtaposed with the story of a modern woman (Abbie Cornish), obsessed with Simpson, who falls in love with a married Russian guard (Oscar Isaacs) in a museum.  Again, Riseborough and D’Arcy certainly LOOK their parts. I’ve seen Riseborough in a few things, most recently Brighton Rock. If this is indeed a disaster, her career will weather it.

W.E. will move to TIFF next week and open in the US December 9.

Here’s a new clip for Bennett Miller’s Moneyball, the story of Oakland A’s general manager Billy Beane’s successful attempt to put together a baseball club on a budget by employing computer-generated analysis to draft his players.  Moneyball stars Brad Pitt, Jonah Hill and Philip Seymour Hoffman and is about to bow at TIFF next week.

TIFF is making me take notice of some films I’d been ignoring. Now that actual reviews are coming out, I feel like I have to give them a closer look. I haven’t decided exactly how I feel about this film yet. On the one hand, I’m a huge baseball fan and it’s great fun to get a peak at the inner workings of the sport and what appear to an outsider as arbitrary decisions, especially since I remember some of the incidents portrayed in the film. Brad Pitt, when he’s given the chance to act and not just be Brad Pitt, world’s sexiest DILF or one half of the century’s most photographed couple, is a good actor. I’m not crazy about Jonah Hill, mainly because I always see Jonah Hill, but he is getting good notices for this. I am, an unabashed Philip Seymour Hoffman fan. (I can’t wait to see him in George Clooney’s Ides of March)

Here Hoffman is directed by his Capote director who guided him to a Best Actor Oscar. The words are by Steve Zaillian and Aaron Sorkin. Both pluses. In this clip, we see Hoffman, as A’s manager Art Howe, react to Pitt’s Beane inform him he’s just traded a member of the team without his knowledge. One of the reasons Hoffman is always so interesting to watch is that he always seems a powderkeg just one spark away from blowing. One never knows whether to take his character at face value or not. In any, his performance alone may be worth the price of a ticket.

Piers Morgan sat down with the late Amy Winehouse’s father Mitch Winehouse to talk about the untimely death of the talented singer/songwriter in an emotional interview where Mitch says the real Amy was so full of love:

“She had so many qualities and so many frailties… but all of the nonsense that was written about her in the papers is all gone now. Everybody is full of love and admiration for her.” “She was full of love…even for people that didn’t deserve it. I just wish she was here so we could give her a cuddle.”

You know it’s so true. We all took our shots at her and her antics (myself included I”m sorry to say) and now that she’s gone it certainly makes you reflect on the fact that beneath all the so-called imperfections everybody (well mostly everybody) has good qualities and she seemed to have more good than bad.

This is an interview I definitely hope to catch.

Set your TiVo’s, PVR’s, DVR’s whatever you can for Monday’s Ellen DeGeneres shows bitches because Ashton Kutcher is getting naked! That’s right. This is not a wardrobe malfunction.

Monday marks season 9 of the fabulous Ellen DeGeneres show and it’s all about the Fall previews and in particular the new Two and A Half Men in which Ashton Kutcher now stars.

Ellen asks him if he’s ready for the new show and he responds:

 ”I’m ready. This is it.”

“Have you seen the ad for the show (Two and a Half Men)…? It’s getting a lot of attention. So I just figured I’m going to do everything nude from now on… Whatever I’m doing I’m just going to do it nude. Let’s do this.”

This is like the happiest day of my life. Will you be watching Ellen DeGeneres on Monday? Sure his privates are pixelated but it’s something! I’m totally loving Ashton with the hairy face and long hair. It’s kind of caveman like. Mommy likes.
