MTV has an exclusive clip of another film that’s going to get its premiere in Toronto in the next week or so, Hick. Directed by Dereck Martini, whose only other feature was 2008′s Lymelife (for which he managed to snag a cast of well-known New Yorkers), which won the Int’l Critics Award at TIFF that year, Hick stars Blake Lively, Chloe Moretz, Eddie Redmayne, Juliette Lewis, Ray McKinnon and Lymelife co-stars Rory Culkin and Alec Baldwin.

The story follows a 13-year-old Nebraskan girl named Luli (Moretz), and her rough-going life on the road after she runs away from her neglectful parents to be taken under the wing of hard-living grifter Glenda (Lively in a role that originally had been cast with Kirstin Dunst).

Now, I’m not much of a Blake Lively fan…well, not at all actually, but I am a Chloe Moretz fan. This kid is preternaturally talented and if she manages to survive her teens in Hollywood unscathed, she’ll have an amazing career ahead of her if she wants it. Not sure what’s going on in this clip and I’m not sure if I can take two hours of Lively’s accent, but I’ll know more when we get a full length trailer. Hick could be fun. Could be painful. After TIFF, the only release date listed is a vague “2012″.

Scubs’ star Donald Faison 37, recently proposed to long-time girlfriend Cacee Cobb 33, and damn it was worth the wait! He proposed to her with a 4-carat diamond ring from Beverly Hills jeweler to the stars Jason Arasheben. 

Too Fab is reporting that the boulder is an:

Oval diamond ring [that] features pave stones and has an estimated value of $150,000. “Donald and Cacee designed the style of the ring together,” sources tell TooFab. “She didn’t know how big the stone would be or when she would get it! He wasted no time to propose!”

The two lovebirds were engaged in August and have yet to set a date. Unless they elope it’s a good bet that close friend to Cacee (and former boss) Jessica Simpson will be at the wedding as will Donald’s best friend and fellow Scrubs’ costar Zach Braff.

Killer Elite, director Guy McKendry’s macho-man extravaganza is the story of Danny Bryce (Jason Statham), a retired member of Britain’s Elite Special Air Service, who is forced into action when his mentor (Robert De Niro) is taken captive. His mission: kill three assassins dispatched by their cunning leader (Clive Owen).

There’s a new clip that focuses on Statham as he attempts to free De Niro from his captors.  It’s the third clip and comes at around the 2:00 mark. We’ve seen the other three clips in this compilation, but who’s complaining?

Killer Elite opens in the US and the UK on September 23.

Mos Def 37, is changing his name in 2012 to Yasiir. You know him best as a hip hop artist, actor and if you watch Dexter one of the stars of the show but you can call him Yasiir in 2012.

If you slip up and call him Mos Def, don’t worry he won’t ignore you, he’ll still answer to it. Why the change? He tells The Hollywood Reporter:

Mos Def is the name that I built and cultivated over the years.  It’s the name that the streets taught me — A figure of speech that was given to me by the culture and by my environment,” he explained. “I feel I’ve done quite a bit with that name and it’s time to expand and move on.”

Yasiir is from the Arabic name Yasir which means rich or someone that goes against the tide according to THR.

Dexter returns to showtime October 2 where Mos Def will reprise his role as Brother Sam.

Mos Def was actually born Dante Terrell Smith. I love the name Dante as a first name, it’s not very common and sounds cool. I’m going to change my name to either Mrs. Kiefer Sutherland or Mrs. Jason Statham. I just gotta work out the deets with the hubster.

Okay, raise your hand if you want to see Colin Firth in a tux! *demented poodle dance* I do! I do!  The suave and debonair Mr. Firth accommodated all of us drooling fools by donning said tuxedo for the red carpet premiere of Tomas Alfredson’s Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy today at the Venice Film Festival.

Of course, Colin brought along his stunningly beautiful wife, probably to translate, since she’s Italian and all…yeah right. Will you look at the hand placement on the pic above? Yes, that’s right, Mrs. Firth has her hand on Mr. Firth’s ass. Now look at the expression on his face. ‘Nuff said.

Gary Oldman looked very dapper as well. He brought along his gorgeous wife, Alexandra Edenborough for a little PDA. (Gotta keep the spark alive somehow. She’s his fourth and none of them have lasted more than three years. Her contract’s about to expire.)

Pics of Mark Strong are always a treat. This guy stays close to home and his two young sons unless he’s got a movie to promote. He was, as always, accompanied by his lovely wife Liza Marshall. They really are a beautiful couple. I love the way she looks at him.

Along with the director, other members of the cast, including John Hurt, Benedict Cumberbatch and apparently the only woman in the movie, Svetlana Khodchenkova (that’s not completely true but she’s the only with a significant role) were also in attendance. I was sorry Ciaran Hinds wasn’t there, but most especially I’m bummed there was no Tom Hardy in a suit to ogle. I guess he used up all of his free passes with Christopher Nolan in order to promote Warrior and he’s hard at work on the set of The Dark Knight Rises.

Lady GaGa 25, has a new love and his name is Taylor Kinney 30. You may recognize that name if you are a viewer of Vampire Diaries where he played Mason Lockwood. But he also appeared in Lady GaGa’s video You And I which is where the two first met.

Radar Online is reporting the romance exclusively saying the two met in July and have been dating ever since with a source saying:

“It was just casual at first, but things are getting pretty hot and heavy,”

On Sunday September 4th another ‘source’ claims that Lady GaGa and Taylor were making out at Mission Viejo’s The Sneak Joint:

“I couldn’t tell it was her at first,” “It just looked like some hot couple making out, but then I realized it was Lady GaGa! Everyone went nuts! She was so sweet too — she even signed some autographs.

Did anyone in the joint own a fugging phone? Where are the pictures of momma monster dining with the former vampire (I don’t watch Vampire Diaries…does he play a vampire?). Apparently Taylor lives in Mission Viejo and is a major surfer.
