KISS rocker Gene Simmons 62, is FINALLY making an honest woman out of his Playboy Playmate Shannon Tweed 54, after being together since 1983 (28 freaking years!) and having two children together: Nick, 22 and Sophie, 19 .

The kids got together and created their wedding invitation which is both sarcastic and lovely:

“After 28 years of loose strings, our parents have finally decided to tie the knot.”

“Our mother will share our horrendous hyphenate of a last name and our father’s life … well, it doesn’t change that much.”

And the lovely part:

“But we will be united as a family in spirit and in title forever.”

I think that’s very sweet, although regardless of a wedding ceremony they would have been family in spirit forever. Shannon has been wanting to get married FOREVER, but Gene was very gun-shy about the whole ordeal. They will finally become man and wife on October 1 at the posh Beverly Hills Hotel assuming Gene doesn’t scurry away like a little sissy-bitch.

They request that ‘classy cocktail attire’ be worn but they fully expect ‘Rockstar attire will be worn’.

It’s really kind of cool to have the adult children part of the wedding-planning process!

Won’t be long now! Gavin O’Connor’s Warrior, a Rocky-esque drama about family, redemption and forgiveness set amid the world of mixed martial arts (MMA), is set to open in the US on September 9 and it has been getting the full court press from distributor Lionsgate. There have been screenings galore. The studio is really hoping for a strong box-office showing for this one. This is one case where good box office can translate into awards consideration. It’s small enough that dollars are needed to keep it in the mind’s eye of those that make such decision.

Having seen it, I can tell you it’s worth all the hype. If you liked, The Fighter (and I did. It was on my “best of” list last year.) then you’ll love this. It’s already got Oscar buzz surrounding Nick Nolte, with some sources calling him a lock for a Supporting Actor nod (just as Vanessa Redgrave is probably a lock for Coriolanus), and stars Joel Edgerton and especially Tom Hardy, are dark horse candidates as well.

This new clip features Hardy’s Tommy Reardon trying to work his way back into the ring and a title shot. After that there are a couple of new clips with both Hardy and Edgerton in fighting form. The guys in the background are all actual MMA fighters.

This week’s Fashionista was a slam dunk!!  The very beautiful Cindy Crawford, 45, set the red carpet on fire this week at the Venice Film Festival in this one shoulder embroidered Roberto Cavalli  number with Chopard jewels.

Cindy and equally beautiful hubby Rande Gerber attended to show support for their friend, gorgeous George Clooney whose new film, The Ides of March, opened the festival.  All I can say to Randy is, “hold on to your woman!”

The pairings have been announced so let the rehearsals begin for the season 13 of Dancing With The Stars.  We have the latest pictures of the professionals and celebrities making their way to and from dance rehearsals.

I’m not loving the way Mark Ballas and Kristin Cavallari are all chemistry-like. Hands off my man biotch. Whether or not this season is exciting, we will at least get to see Mark shake his money-maker and that will make it all worthwhile.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy is seen outside the studio with his partner Hope Solo and also a top on (sorry ladies). Judging by the smiles I would say they are pretty happy to be working together.

Chaz Bono can also be seen at rehearsals. I’m really shocked and very saddened by the hatred that has come out by him being on the show. It shows just how narrow-minded people can be.  I read somewhere this week that he would like a penis and I thought he got one in his surgeries. So what makes him a man if not for a penis? Facial hair? If that’s the case I have a few female relatives whose gender may be questionable.

George Clooney’s ex Elizabetta Canalis shows us what she is most famous for (besides boning George) and that’s her ass. Girl has a rocking body, but you know something occurred to me about their breakup. In order for Dancing With The Stars to secure the ‘talent’ they have to approach many celebrities and do so well in advance of a given season. The timing of her break up with George Clooney seems like it could have coincided (or not) with her decision to do Dancing With The Stars.

Although George likes himself some sexy-hot cooter, he also doesn’t want a lime light seeking attention whore. What do you think?

Jersey Shore’s Snooki has always dreamed of being a newscaster (who knew) and she got her chance in this very funny video from Cambio.

One nugget of wisdom that she shared with us  regarding Beyonce’s recent confirmation of her pregnancy:

“I really think [Beyonce's] going to have a really cute baby — tan obviously,”

It’s difficult to choose which is my favorite moment: the belches, pickles or hairspray. Watch and enjoy and remember the world may very well be ending.

In all seriousness, I’ve never watched one episode of Jersey Shore (nor do I ever intend to) but I kind of like Snooki. She doesn’t care what people think (yet she faces so much criticism) she can clearly laugh at herself and she actually seems like a really sweet girl. And very blissful. I’m still never going to watch an episode.
