Wow this IS breaking considering George Clooney NEVER speaks about his personal life. At all. But he felt the need to clear the air because apparently US Weekly did a story on Elisabetta Canalis firing off angry texts to George once she learned he was dating Stacy Keibler. But George says it ain't so and spoke with TMZ exclusively to say the story:

"was completely fabricated in order to sell magazines. I never comment on my personal life unless it affects others…and this lie affects others."

George added this challenge to US Weekly, "Since I would be the only actual witness, I ask you to correct your story immediately, but that would assume you cared at all about telling the truth."

Don't you just love George Clooney? So Elisabetta Canalis did not send angry texts to George Clooney because he is dating Stacy Keibler. It's still got to hurt a former girlfriend of George Clooney to see him move on so quickly.

Whoa! This looks intense! Texas Killing Fields, another of this fall's "Killing" movies, is directed by first time helmer, Ami Mann, who just happens to be the daughter of famed director Michael Mann and it appears she's learned a few tricks, namely about creating atmosphere, from her dad. (I love that her first job was on her father's tv series, "Crime Story", one of my all-time favorite shows.) Texas Killing Fieldsstars Jeffrey Dean Morgan and I, for one, would love to see this get him the critical acclaim he deserves, along with Sam Worthington, who I may never "get", but at least he doesn't appear to be a distraction. It's also got another of Jessica Chastain's performances, in this, her breakout year. My girlcrush continues.

"In the Texas bayous, a local homicide detective (Morgan) teams up with a cop from New York City (Worthington) to investigate a series of unsolved murders."

Oh yeah, I'm all over this one. Texas Killing Fields also stars Chloe Grace Moretz, Annabeth Gish, Sheryl Lee, Jason Clarke and Stephen Graham. It played the Venice Film Festival at the beginning of September and opens October 14 in the US, Canada and in the UK.

This is such a lovely way to start a Thursday morning off, isn't it? Gerard Butler is in London on his promotional tour for Machine Gun Preacher and was seen yesterday in his (very nicely fitting) jeans leaving Groucho Club in Soho and then all cleaned up in Mayfair where he attended the BAFTA sponsored UK premiere of Machine Gun Preacher (thank you to the esteemed Sheri for letting me know).

Have we ever discussed how huge his feet are? And his hands? Those are quite the large mitts my poodles. The better to caress you with my pretties. Okay I need to cool my jets or I'll never get anything done.

David Arquette calling into the Howard Stern radio show is like an enema to his soul. David can't quite keep private things private when he talks to Howard and confirmed today (although at first he was all school-girl shy about naming her) that he is in fact dating someone and that he and estranged wife Courteney Cox are in the friend zone.

If you've been watching Dancing With The Stars, you will have noticed that Courteney has been at every show showing her support to David along with their daughter Coco. Well that's nothing more than friendship at this point and Courteney is well aware of the fact that David is dating Joe Francis' ex Christina McLarty who has got to be pretty messed up in the head if she thought for even a millisecond that Joe Francis was marriage material. 

David is pretty smitten with Christina:

She's adorable. I'm not one to run around with different girls.I like someone that makes me feel good and that I can make feel good," said Arquette.

He admitted that the two have been Skyping like a couple of horny teenagers and that they've been hooking up since the summer and that includes road trips. This girl could find the cure for cancer and in my mind she would still be that crazy biotch that married Joe Francis. Joe. Francis. Ugghh the hair on my chest is standing on end. What? Never mind.

And of course it wouldn't be a Howard Stern interview without Howard making mention of the women on the Dancing With The Stars set  that aren't bean poles and how does David get through that part of the show. David loves all body types and admits that he finds Lacey Schwimmer  to be one of the sexiest girls on the show! I have to totally agree with that.

The first time I heard that someone had made a movie about a butter carving competition, I have to say I was skeptical. Since then I've heard nothing but good things about director Jim Field Smith's (She's Out of My League) latest, titled simply, Butter.  It stars 
Jennifer Garner as over-achieving type A, Laurie Pickler in a comedy set in the Midwest U.S., where an adopted girl (Yara Shahidi) discovers her talent for butter carving and finds herself pitted against an ambitious local woman (Garner) in their town's annual contest. 

The Weinstein Company has launched a viral site where you can also view the clip below as part of a "campaign ad" for Laurie Pickler for Governor. Her slogan: "For the Little People", and it includes buttons for Laurie's Facebook and Twitter pages. Inspired marketing I must say.

Butter also stars Hugh Jackman, Ty Burrell, Olivia Wilde, Kristen Schaal, Ashley Greene, Alicia Silverstone, Rob Corddry, Phyllis Smith and Pruitt Taylor Vince.  It played TIFF and Telluride and will play other smaller festivals this season. I'm thinking Harvey (Weinstein) must have big plans for Butter despite no firm release dates yet.
