Dancing With The Stars Season 13 Week 5 Recap 10/17/11

It's 80's week on Dancing With The Stars in this Season 13 Week 5 recap and how nice that the Bangles are opening with Eternal Flame, and Walk Like an Egyptian. Now that brings back memories!
This post is going to be updated in real time so keep refreshing kittens. We'll have which dance our couples danced and their scores along with some fun commentary. And by fun I mean perverted. And might I add that the 80's hair and fashion should never be repeated!
Hope Solo and Maksim Chmerkovskiy Tango – They danced to Living on a Prayer by Bon Jovi. These two really butt heads during rehearsal but I have to say that they did great on this Tango although I don't think the end with Hope pretending to sing into the mic was necessarily Tango-like. They seemed really tight in their dance steps but she's not an actress so it's difficult for her to tap into the mood of a tango. Scores: 8/8/8 = 24/30.
Carson Kressley and Anna Trebunskaya Jive – They danced to Wake Me Up Before You Go Go by Wham. Each week this is the one celebrity I am totally pumped seeing because you are guaranteed a laugh. Anna is right in that Carson IS the entertainment for this season. Omg I love the pom poms on these two. They were off in their dancing and you know they will be penalized for that, but the judges were loving it as much as we were. Scores: 6/6/7 = 19/30.
Nancy Grace and Tristan McManus Rumba – They danced to Spandau Ballet's True (LOVE this song). It was funny watching Nancy and Tristan bicker in their rehearsals but especially to see Nancy do her cheer from her high school days. They seemed to be having a great time on the dance floor tonight. I wouldn't say it's the best Rumba but it's not the worst. It's just not very 'believable'. Scores: 7/7/8 = 22/30.
J.R. Martinez and Karina Smirnoff Samba – They danced to Gloria Estevan and the Miami Sound Machine's Rhythm Conga and I'm going to say this now: J.R. is your Season 13 winner. He is consistent and he just gets better and better. This man is a powerhouse and technically sound. Man, he can MOVE those freaking hips. I can't wait to hear Carrie Ann make her oinky commentary. I think it was perfection. Scores: 9/9/10 = 28/30.
Robert Kardashian and Cheryl Burke Rumba – They danced to Lionel Richie's Hello. I have to say I was really impressed with Rob.It must be difficult to get sexy with someone who you view more as a sibling but I think he pulled it off. And I loved the colors on them. 80's or not, they looked good on them. Scores: 9/8/8 = 25/30.
Chaz Bono and Lacey Schwimmer Samba – They danced to Kool and The Gang's Get Down on It and Chaz really did do great. I think that Lacey's father Buddy helping him out really helped him to feel more confident in his ability. You can see his confidence grow with each dance. It really is a beautiful thing. Scores: 7/7/7 = 21/30.
David Arquette and Kym Johnson Tango – They danced to Soft Cell's Tainted Love. I agree with Carrie Ann in that David is sexy. He's totally doable. KYm looked so sexy in her outfit. Did Kym kick his sunglasses off? I loved this dance. I really hope the judges award David for his hard work. Scores: 8/9/8 = 25/30.
Ricki Lake and Derek Hough Fox Trot – Omg for John Waters to show up in rehearsals was incredible. He is such a nice man and you can really tell he loves Ricki. They danced to Phil Collin's 'Easy Lover'. You know last week they did so incredible it does place a lot of pressure on them to do even better. I don't know if the judges will consider this as good. I always love seeing Derek and Ricki dance but I think he dress was too distracting for me. Scores: 8/8/8 = 24/30.
Who did you like? Who do you think is going home tomorrow.
