It must be Monday and my caffeine drip hasn't started running through my veins because not only do these blinds not make sense to me, I have no frigging clue who they could possibly be. Thanks be to Gawker for the confusion.

1. This married actor had a one-night stand with one of his exes, who is an actress in an acclaimed television show. She wound up pregnant. The actor's wife found out about the baby, and, to no one's surprise, went completely ballistic. Both the actor and his wife tried every tactic (money, lawyers, threats to ruin her career) to convince the ex to terminate the pregnancy. Despite enormous pressure from all sides, the ex decided to keep the baby. The actor's marriage is now on the rocks. We're not sure how long everyone can remain tight-lipped about this one. It will be difficult to keep such a bombshell out of divorce proceedings, which will likely occur before the New Year." [Blind Gossip]

2. "This A++ list rap star who has been quite of late is not only hooked on heroin, but also has hepatitis. Hopefully that is all he has since he keeps having unprotected sex with as many fans a day as he can." [CDaN]

E! and Fashion Police co-host Giuliana Rancic 37 has revealed that she has breast cancer. She admits that she didn't want to go for a mammogram and went 'kicking and screaming':

"It was just a kick in the stomach," Rancic recalled. "That was the hardest day … (the emotions are) what you expect but so much more. It was incredible instant sobbing, and it was like the world just crashed down around me. I couldn't believe it, 36 years old, no family history."

You've probably known at least one person in your life who has had breast (or any other type of) cancer and it's that disease that we all dread and I can not imagine how it feels to hear those words. 

Giuliana and her husband Bill Rancic have been trying to have a child for a while and has resorted to IVF (in vitro fertilization). She was about to start her third try with IVF when her doctor demanded the mammogram:

"He said, 'I don't care if you're 26 or 36, but I will not get you pregnant if possibly there's a small risk that you have cancer because the hormones will accelerate the cancer,'" said Rancic. "I never in my wildest dreams expected anything would be wrong."

It's a blessing of sorts that she didn't get pregnant then, isn't it? She has a message for other women:

"A lot of us think we're invincible … but we have to start putting ourselves on the to-do list," she said. "I had a friend call me yesterday, and she said, 'I'm so sorry, can I do anything for you?' And I said, 'Just call your doctor tomorrow and make an appointment. That's what you could do for me.' … I will be okay because I found it early."

Giuliana will require some surgery and six weeks of radiation treatments. She is not giving up on her dream of having a baby, although the plans are on hold obviously:

"I'm not going to give up. I want that baby…. That baby will have saved my life."

Our thoughts and prayers are with Giuliana Rancic for a speedy and complete recovery.

About a month ago, we showed you some images and clips for Albert Nobbs, a little oddity about a woman living as a man in late 19th century Ireland, starring Glen Close. Close, arguably one of the greatest actresses of her generation, originally starred as Nobbs in the 1982 Off-Broadway play "The Singular Life of Albert Nobbs" and won an Obie for it. The clips definitely piqued my interest.

The official synopsis: Award winning actress Glenn Close plays a woman caught in an unusual love triangle. Passing as a man in order to work and survive in 19th century Ireland, some thirty years after donning men’s clothing, she finds herself lost in a prison of her own making.  Rodrigo Garcia directs from a script that Glenn Close, along with Man Booker prize-winning novelist John Banville and Gabriella Prekop, adapted from a short story by Irish author George Moore."

This trailer may surprise you.  The film itself, I'll wager, will be a major tugger of heartstrings. There are whisperings that another Oscar nomination might be in the cards for Close, for whom this has been a passion project for over 30 years, and I can see why. If the film works or fails, it will all be on her shoulders. Close is joined by a prestigious, international cast that includes Mia Wasikowska (Helen), Aaron Johnson (Joe), Brendan Gleeson (Dr. Holloran), Janet McTeer, Brenda Fricker, Pauline Collins and Jonathan Rhys-Myers. Albert Nobbs has played festivals all over the world and yet there is still no release information. Look for it in at least LA and NY before the end of the year for an awards-qualifying run.

It was a mere two months ago that we told you that Disney, in it's infinite wisdom, had pulled the plug on The Lone Ranger, starring Johnny Depp as Tonto. Well, apparently after some major retooling, the film is back on Disney's production schedule with Gore Verbinski still attached to direct and Johnny Depp still attached to star. Not only that, Deadline has confirmed that the film has been given a summer tent-pole opening date of May 31, 2013. Not only does that appear to be a show of faith in the project, but they've also moved semi-sure thing Thor 2 from July 2013 back to November 15, 2013.

At the time of the shutdown,  it had been announced that Prince Andrew Alcott (of the untitled Tarsem Singh Snow White),  Armie Hammer, had been chosen as the Lone Ranger himself and Ruth Wilson ("Luther") had just been added as the female lead. No word yet if they are returning to the fold as well.

The Lone Ranger will go into production February 6 2012. The film was originally supposed to start this fall, but that was before Disney freaked out over the reportedly $275 million + price tag and they shocked the world by putting the kibosh on the whole thing. Makes one wonder if that super massive turkey, The Tourist, made Hollywood rethink Depp's drawing power. Supposedly, Verbinski, producer Jerry Bruckheimer and Depp all did some financial juggling and numbers crunching and brought the budget down to around $215 million.

Johnny Depp fans don't have to wait until 2013 since he will, of course, be seen later this month in The Rum Diary.

George Clooney and Stacy Keibler are posing together on the red carpet of the 49th Annual New York Film Festival premiere of The Descendents putting to rest any doubt that these two are a couple. Like anyone doesn't think they're together.

Judy Greer, who also is in the movie was on the red carpet as well. I'll add more photos in the morning but I was just so super-excited to see these two actually 'confirm' their relationship. This is a big step for George Clooney. Well, not really. As long as Stacy doesn't mention the 'M' word, they'll be good.
