Susan Sarandon’s Daughter Eva Amurri Got Married

Susan Sarandon's Daughter Eva Amurri Got Married

Susan Sarandon's beautiful daughter Eva Amurri 26 (of Californication fame) married former soccer player (and current soccer commentator) Kyle Martino in Charleston, South Carolina last night.

The bride was joined my Susan's former partner (of 21 years) Tim Robbins who watched Eva grow up into a beautiful young lady. It's nice that Susan and Tim could be together on this very special day for Eva. I have to say Eva's husband Kyle is pretty freaking hot!

The bride wore a gown designed by Lela Rose who also designed a dress for Susan Sarandon. Earlier in the year Susan said of the groom:

"He's just a very sane, really lovely guy. His family's fabulous. He adores her. I mean, you couldn't ask for anything more."

Congratulations to the happy couple!

LA Confidential Celebrates Gerard Butler!

LA Confidential Celebrates Gerard Butler!

As if being this month’s cover-boy for lifestyle mag LA Confidential weren’t enough, last night  they threw the hottest man on the planet, Gerard Butler, a party to celebrate at the Palihouse Holloway in West Hollywood.

Also in attendance,  Rose McGowan, Amanda Righetti, Persian actress Nanzanin Boniadi, LA Confidential publisher Alison Miller and Editor-in-chief Sari Tuschman (although I’d bet my left arm there were a LOT more females in attendance.  The pics inside the mag are so incendiary that I’m surprised they didn’t burn the place down.  In the article, Butler discusses his career, life in the spotlight and of course, his current project, Machine Gun Preacher.

According to an article published Sunday October 30 in the UK Telegraph, Butler is “Britain’s most bankable Hollywood property, a man who can command $15-$20 million per film” and whose “films’ takings regularly push beyond the $100 million mark, despite less than glowing reviews; Butler has become largely critic-retardant.” Take that naysayers!

Enjoy the pics. For anyone in the UK, Machine Gun Preacher opens Wed. Nov. 2.

2nd Trailer for Mission:Impossible-Ghost Protocol Debuts!

Poster for Mission:Impossible-Ghost Protocol!

Much like 007's theme, whenever I hear the theme for Mission:Impossible, in any of its incarnations (all variations on Lalo Schifrin's theme for the iconic television series), I know I'm in for a wild ride. Judging from everything we've been given thus far, I'd say that will be true ofMission:Impossible-Ghost Protocol as well. Say what you want about Tom Cruise, there is no question that this 49 year old is not only the benchmark that other actors of his generation should strive for in terms of aging gracefully, but for proving that you're never too old to kick some ass. The lengths he goes to for his films, especially for an actor with his status is astounding. (Despite how ever the finished product turns out. I think we can safely place the blame forthe bomb that was Knight and Day on someone other than Cruise.)

Take a look at this second trailer for Mission:Impossible-Ghost Protocol (Can't we just agree to refer to it as MI4? That's easier to type.) In any case, with this trailer we get a closer look at the new players on Ethan Hunt's IMF team, including Jeremy Renner as Brant and Paula Patton as Jane Carter and IMF vet Benji Dunn played by Simon Pegg. We also get a few glimpses of Josh Holloway's Trevor Hanaway. The best part is the clues we're given about the plot. The trailer opens with someone blowing up the Kremlin! Of course, Ethan and his team are implicated, causing the team to 'go rogue' (sorry that phrase has been ruined for me) to clear their organization's name.

Mission: Impossible-Ghost Protocol opens in IMAX on December 16 and in normal theaters on December 21

Wow! Michelle Williams IS Marilyn Monroe!

If there were an award for best impersonation of a dead celebrity, I'm pretty sure this year's winner would be Michelle Williams in My Week with Marilyn. Look at that poster! She looks amazing!

I will say that Kate Winslet has given her quite a run for her money, channeling both Marilyn and Elizabeth Taylor for photo shoots this year. Kate is an over-achiever after all. Still, I think she gets edged out by Williams.

Williams, of course, plays Marilyn Monroe in a film about a week she spent in London filming The Prince and the Pauper with Laurence Olivier (Kenneth Branagh). At the time, Olivier was married to Vivien Leigh (Julia Ormond),  and Monroe was married to playwright Arthur Miller (Dougray Scott). According to the film, Monroe has an affair of sorts with one of Olivier's young and naive assistants (Eddie Redmayne).

The fantastic cast also includes Emma Watson, Dominic Cooper, Toby Jones, Derek Jacobi and Judi Dench. My Week with Marilyn opens November 23 in the US and Canada and 25 November in the UK.

You Made Zeus Angry! You Don’t Want to Make Zeus Angry!

You Made Zeus Angry! You Don't Want to Make Zeus Angry!

This clip from Tarsem Singh's Immortals begins with Isabel Lucas as Athena sort of rising into the frame wearing what looks like a gold lame Statue of Liberty costume and at first I thought it was a parody because it looked so silly. Then Luke Evans as Zeus (the younger version) shows up and it's an entirely different animal. Zeus is pissed about something and he's all about wielding whips made of fire at anyone who has displeased him. And I have to say, this scene bears out the comparisons to 300. The slo-mo shot of the fire whip lashing out is directly reminiscent of a slo-mo shot of a whip in that other film.

Whatevs. Immortals, again, much like 300, will be full of rippling, sweaty male pulchritude and given the ratio of men to women in terms of fleshy eye-candy, it's only fitting we get another one every four years or so. Of course there is a story attached, just as there was in 300 ( a damn good one, well acted in that case). Immortals tells the story of Theseus (Henry Cavill), a mortal man chosen by Zeus to lead the fight against the ruthless King Hyperion (Mickey Rourke), who is on a rampage across Greece to obtain a weapon that can destroy humanity. Sounds like fun.

Immortals opens November 11 everywhere.

Justin Timberlake Returns to Jimmy Fallon for History of Rap 3 (VIDEO)

Justin Timberlake Returns to Jimmy Fallon for History of Rap 3 (VIDEO)

Oh to be an audience member at last night's Jimmy Fallon show where Justin Timberlake returned for the two to perform History of Rap 3.

I think Part 3 is the best of the bunch. I wish Jimmy and Justin would go on tour together, or cut an album or do both. Their energy, enthusiasm, personality and talent is exceptional.

Enjoy the video!
