Twilight: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 TV Spots!

Ooo La La! French Poster for Twilight Breaking Dawn: Part 1!

Okay Twihards, things are getting serious! Summit Entertainment has just debuted two new television spots for next month's Twilight: Breaking Dawn – Part 1.  In truth they are very similar, but one was released to Fandango and the other to MovieTickets.com. Check 'em out:

In the off chance that you spent the last five years in a subterranean nuclear fallout shelter, Twlight: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 is the lastest installment in the film franchise based on the YA vampire novels of Stephanie Meyer and stars Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner (who owe Meyer a kidney or their first-born if she wants them) and Robert Pattinson (the only one of this triumvirate that has any real post-Twlight potential, imho), as well as Peter Facinelli, Elisabeth Reaser, Bryce Dallas Howard, Michael Sheen, Kellan Lutz and Dakota Fanning. In this installment, we see the long awaited wedding of Edward and Bella then the Quileute and the Volturi close in on the expecting parents, whose unborn child poses different threats to the wolf pack and vampire coven. Twlight: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 begins world domination on November 18.

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia DeRossi Selling $49 Million Home! VIDEO

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia DeRossi Selling $49 Million Home! VIDEO

I may need to borrow a couple of bucks for this one. Ellen DeGeneres and Portia DeRossi are selling their Beverly Hills home for a whopping $49 million! However it's like three houses/lots being sold as one.

It's HUGE and it's gorgeous and it also happens to be the house where they got married in 2008. It's got 9 bedrooms and sits on 2.87 acres of prime real estate poodles.

If it looks familiar you may have seen it featured in the November issue of Architectural Digest.

Gwyneth Paltrow and Mark Ruffalo Film ‘Thanks For Sharing’ In Central Park

Gwyneth Paltrow and Mark Ruffalo Film 'Thanks For Sharing' In Central Park

GOOPmeister Gwyneth Paltrow and Mark Ruffalo were in Central Park yesterday filming their movie 'Thanks For Sharing' which is a comedy about three people who are undergoing a 12-step program for sex addiction. This sounds very promising kittens.

I love Gwyneth in movies, I can't deny she's a talented actress, but she just comes across a little too elitist at times, except of course the time she called her grandmother a c*nt on Chelsea Lately. Maybe it's because she's good friends with Madonna and Stella McCartney. I picture the three of them together being the nastiest of biotches.

Anyhoo, this movie also stars Tim Robbins and of course as we told you at the beginning of the month Pink is making her acting debut as a sex addict which is casting perfection.

New Trailer for Tower Heist with Ben Stiller!

Posters and Trailer for Tower Heist!

There's a new trailer for Tower Heist and it is trying very hard to get me to like it. (Including literally, with the Facebook link at the end). We get a lot more in this one, including some details about the 'plan' coming together. There is so much genuine talent involved here that it has some real potential. In addition to Ben Stiller, there's Eddie Murphy, Matthew Broderick, Casey Affleck, Michael Pena, Gabourey Sidibe, Tea Leoni, Judd Hirsch and the great Alan Alda. The premise could either be hilarious or painful, depending on the execution. It's a caper film "about working stiffs who seek revenge on the Wall Street swindler who stiffed them. After the workers at a luxury Central Park condominium discover the penthouse billionaire has stolen their retirement, they plot the ultimate revenge: a heist to reclaim what he took from them. Queens native Josh Kovacs (Stiller) has managed one of the most luxurious and well-secured residences in New York City for more than a decade. Under his watchful eye, nothing goes undetected. In the swankiest unit atop Josh’s building, Wall Street titan Arthur Shaw (Alan Alda) is under house arrest after being caught stealing two billion from his investors. The hardest hit among those he defrauded? The tower staffers whose pensions he was entrusted to manage. With only days before Arthur gets away with the perfect crime, Josh’s crew turns to petty crook Slide (Murphy) to plan the nearly impossible…to steal what they are sure is hidden in Arthur’s guarded condo. Though amateurs, these rookie thieves know the building better than anyone. Turns out they’ve been casing the place for years, they just didn’t know it.”

The biggest impediment to any of this working? The director, Brett Ratner (Rush Hour 1, 2 and 3The Family ManX-Men:The Last Stand), in whom I just don't have a lot of faith. I'm just not laughing at the trailer. (I am cringing at some of the stereotypes, particularly where Murphy is concerned. He seems to be channeling Axel Foley by way of Velvet Jones.) We'll see.

Tower Heist hijacks cinemas in the US and the UK on November 4.

Jeremy Irons is Scary in this Margin Call Clip!

Jeremy Irons is Scary in this Margin Call Clip!

Margin Call is a thriller that revolves around the key people at a investment bank over a 24-hour period during the early stages of the financial crisis.  Watch the clip below and see Jeremy Irons at his creepiest as he bellows at Kevin Spacey. (Love the German title on the poster from the Berlin Film Festival Der Grosse Crash - The Big Crash. Yeah)

Little kids are gonna be wearing Jeremy Irons masks at Halloween. Okay, maybe not, but I'll bet there will be some adults at parties dressed like the real life monsters he and the other actors in Margin Call represent. Of course, since this is a "fictional" bank, the characters are only based on the real pri…bast…people who ran the world's economy into the ground.

Margin Call has an amazing cast with the likes of Irons, Spacey, Stanley Tucci, Zachary Quinto, Paul Bettany, Simon Baker, Mary McDonnell and Demi Moore and looks like a terrific intellectual thriller in the vein of All the President's Men or China Syndrome, if you can overlook the fact that all of the scary stuff onscreen actually happened. It opens October 21.
