It's week 4 of season 13 of Dancing With The Stars and last week saw the VERY untimely exit of Kristin Cavallari. Kind of right up there with Sabrina Bryan (although I have to say I was more shocked with Sabrina Bryan), but that's what happens when you have a competition where the public votes. Nothing is guaranteed.
On to happier stuff. Besides tonight's dances (which are from movie scores), there are two things happening that are so exciting: Cher will be in the audience (I'm so super excited) and Julianne Hough returns to Dancing With The Stars to help promote her dancing movie Footloose (we will have to wait for tomorrow night for that I got ahead of myself in all the excitement. I am really jazzed about her being on the show too.
Keep refreshing your screen because I am updating this live as it happens kittens.
Chynna Phillips and Tony Dovolani Tango – This is a very sexy dance and these two are perfectly suited for it. Add the music from Mission Impossible and you have a win-win. To have Tony being dropped in from the ceiling was incredible. Len will hate it, but who cares. The gun strapped to Chynna's thigh looked really sexy but she was really off on her steps and it looked like Tony was talking to her throughout the entire dance. With music like this it's the perfect dance to get into. It's like she totally blanked on her dance movements. That's is most unfortunate but I'm hoping they have enough fans to keep them in the game because they deserve to be here right to the end. Scores: 7/7/7 = 21/30.
David Arquette and Kym Johnson Paso Doble – LOVED David's entrance to the theme from Raiders of the Lost Ark. Thought the entire dance, costumes everything was phenomenal. His absolute best dance so far!! Scores: 8/7/8 = 23/30. Sorry but that seems a bit low if you compare it to Chynna's scores which her dance was nowhere near as good.
Carson Kressley and Anna Trebunskaya Viennese Waltz – I'm not sure what I love the most Carson Kressley's dancing or the practice package they show ahead of the dance. He is hysterical and just brings a light and happiness to the show that would not exist were he not on it this season. I especially loved the look on his face when Storm came through the door. That was priceless. Although he had some issues with keeping the steps in sync with Anna I thought he was fabulous! He's always a joy to watch. Scores: 7/6/7 = 20/30.
Nancy Grace and Tristan McManus Paso Doble – This is a perfect dance for Nancy to channel her anger into, isn't it? Seriously I am extremely impressed by this dance. Her beginning was perfect. I am wanting to dry hump Tristan kind of badly right about now. The ending was akward. It was like she was hyperventilating and then the drop was really awkward. Scores: 7/7/7 = 21/30.
Hope Solo and Maksim Chmerkovskiy Fox Trot – Maks looks funny in a cowboy hate but delicious in a pair of jeans. Watching their rehearsal package is always a bit painful because of the clashing but I really liked this dance together. I don't think it was anything super special, but it was sweet. Scores: 8/8/8 = 24/30.
Robert Kardashian and Cheryl Burke Paso Doble – He looks to be working really hard in the practice package which is nice to see. He really suited the glasses and outfit tonight. His hard work is paying off and he didn't miss a beat from the looks of it. Except at the end when he was supposed to fling open his shirt. Scores: 8/8/8 = 24/30.
Ricki Lake and Derek Hough Tango – I love Ricki and she must stay in this game. She seems really flustered during the rehearsal week but I just know Derek will bring the best out in her because it's there. LOVED the beginning of their dance with the light behind the screen. It suited the music perfectly. This whole dance and the costmes suit this music. So far this is my favorite dance of the night. Simply perfection in every sense of the word. Scores: 10/9/10 = 29/30. YEAH baby!!!! Although I have to say I don't know why Len didn't give them a 10 because they certainly deserved it.
Chaz Bono and Lacey Schwimmer Paso Doble – Watching Chaz throughout the night I wonder if he's nervous because his mom Cher is in the audience. Chaz really semeed to be so keen on doing this dance so well and considering the problems he was having (physically) I think he did a great job and it was so nice to see Cher cheering him on. He is totally getting stronger physically. Scores: 7/7/7 = 21/30.
J.R. Martinez and Karina Smirnoff Fox Trot – I have to say this dance was absolutely perfect. I was mesmirized. he is an incredible dancer. I don't know why Carrie Ann thought it was not good. Scores: 8/9/9 = 26/30.
What did you think of tonight's dances? Who was your favorite? Who do you think is going home tonight?
