Sex and The City's Kristin Davis Adopts A Daughter! PHOTO

Sex and The City's Kristin Davis 46, adopted a girl two months ago that she named Gemma Rose Davis. Kristin tells People exclusively:

"This is something I have wanted for a very long time,"  "Having this wish come true is even more gratifying than I ever had imagined. I feel so blessed."

That is adorable and sometimes you just KNOW someone is going to be an amazing mom and Kristin is one of those people. Both she and Gemma Rose are very blessed.

Congratulations to the new mom!

Ryan Reynolds Has A Big Gun!

Ryan Reynolds Has A Big Gun!

Ya know…R.I.P.D. has been filming in Boston for nearly two months now and I have had nary a glimpse of Jeff Bridges (who I imagine has been holed up in his hotel room when not on set), Kevin Bacon, who's been all over town, hanging out, eating at restaurants, taking pics, tweeting and especially Ryan Reynolds who has even been spotted walking his dog. I know what my problem is. I just can't be bothered to stalk any of them and I am never in the right place at the right time.

In any case, here are some pics of the Beantown set of R.I.P.D. , which is directed by Robert Schwentke (REDThe Time Traveler's Wife,Flightplan), and has been adapted from Peter M. Lenkov’s original comic book by Matt Manfredi and Phil Hay. For those who thought this was a movie about the Rhode Island State Police, the film centers on dead cops who work for the “Rest in Peace Department,” a force of dead police officers who fight the spirits of the world unready to leave it, with Ryan Reynolds playing a newly deceased (murdered) cop and Jeff Bridges taking on the role of his partner, a seasoned R.I.P.D. veteran. Kevin Bacon is playing the villain in the film. The rest of the cast includes Mary Louise Parker, Marisa Miller, James Hong and Robert Knepper.

R.I.P.D. opens June 28, 2013.

True Blood’s Joe Manganiello Hits The Grove Looking Mighty Fine (PHOTOS)

True Blood's Joe Manganiello Hits The Grove Looking Mighty Fine (PHOTOS)

True Blood's Joe Managaniello visited Mario Lopez (who must have just hated his job yesterday having to stand beside that God of a man) at The Grove yesterday looking finger lickin' good. Those thighs, that entire body, that face it's quite the sight for first thing Saturday morning. This 6'5" hunk of man-meat turns 35 on December 28th and was ranked #1 in Men's Health Magazine as having the best summer body of 2011. I concur.

Don't forget Joe is also going to be playing Big Dick Richie in Magic Mike in 2012. That movie is currently filming and is loosely based on Channing Tatum's career as a stripper. Only very good things could possibly come out of a film about strippers and Joe having a character named Big Dick Richie.

Friday’s Fabulous Fashionistas Are: Elizabeth Hurley, Cheryl Cole, Bar Refaeli and More

Friday's Fabulous Fashionistas Are: Elizabeth Hurley, Cheryl Cole Bar Refaeli and More

Newly engaged Elizabeth Hurley, 46, is the picture of perfect in pink while attending Estee Lauder's Breast Cancer Awareness Month at Selfridges in London, U.K. on September 29.  Elizabeth was flawless in this form fitting, hot pink number with nude pumps.  (I'm not sure who the designer is, but does it really matter?  When you look that good, who really cares?)  Selfridges was lit up in pink for the event and it's one that's close to Elizabeth's heart as she lost her grandmother to the disease.  Another angel doing a good deed!  Thank you Elizabeth and to everyone helping to find a cure.  October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  So let's all do our part!

Cheryl Cole doesn't walk down the red carpet – she glides down the red carpet.  Cheryl strikes a pose while attending the 2011 Pride of Britain Awards earlier this week held at the Grosvenor House in London, U.K.   Cheryl is perfection in this form fitting, baby pink gown by fellow Brit and designer, Victoria Beckham.  The train is the perfect length for the event.  And don't you just love her new hairstyle??  It's also the perfect length.  Have I used the word "perfect" enough?  Hmm … I don't think so.  Cheryl is just perfect, perfect and perfect.

And wearing an even paler shade of pink (or perhaps nude) is model, Bar Refaeli, who attended The Whitney Museum of American Art's 2011 Gala at Hudson River Park in Manhattan on October 5.  Bar looked ravishing in this Marchesa ruffled organza gown with pink pumps.  The beautiful blonde kept her make-up very subtle and pulled her hair back into a soft, loose braid.  Although she didn't wear any jewellery, she fastened her golden locks with a silver butterfly hair clip by Lorraine Schwartz and completed the look with a silver clutch.  Does she look like she's missing Leo?  Nope!

If this is what closing in on 60 looks like, then what's all the fuss?  Former super model Christie Brinkley, 57, attended the premiere of The Ides of March at the Ziegfeld Theatre in N.Y. on October 5.  And while there, decided, "Hey … why not ROCK that red carpet?"  And so she did in this belted, little black number with matching leopard print clutch.  Purrr … But check out her hair and ruby red lips.  They're sheer perfection!   (There's that word again.)  It kind of reminds me of the Veronica Lake era but only à la Christie Brinkley.  Not surprisingly, Christie Brinkley is ranked third in the AskMen.com Top 10 Supermodels Of All Time.

"Scusi, scusi" (or "get the heck out of my way") as Jessica Biel struts down the street to catch the Giambattista Valli 2012 Spring Collection during Paris Fashion Week.  Now that's a lot of walkin'.  But Jessica keeps it elegant in this little white jacket, white chiffon blouse with white and metallic band leather skirt.  And who said you couldn't wear white after Labour Day?  But what I like most are those shoes.  I mean, really.  Check out those shoes!  Don't you just dig those chains?

Also breaking the no white after Labour Day rule while attending Paris Fashion Week is supermodel and new mommy Miranda Kerr.  Getting in a little retail therapy, Miranda sported black leather pants and white blouse with black pumps.  Miranda also worked the runway for the Christian Dior Spring 2012 Collection, while hunky hubby Orlando Bloom was only too happy sitting front row and centre while snapping away.  In fact, he just couldn't wipe that grin off his face and who can blame him?  They are the most gorgeous couple on the planet.

Last night was the grand opening of Marriott Hotels' Courtyard by Marriott and Residence Inn in Munich, Germany.  Attending the event was Irish model, actress and former Miss World (2003), Rosanna Davison, 27, who looked heavenly in this white silk chiffon shawl and dress ensemble, accessorized with gold clutch.  German model and former Miss Germany (2004) Shermine Shahrivar, 29, also attended the event wearing a black opaque knit dress complimented by a beautiful feathery-like pewtar and gold coloured jacket.  Shermine is currently the face for U.S. clothier, American Apparel and has been featured in several of their ads since 2008.  Now I ask you.  Who had the nerve to ever say that life ends after winning a beauty pageant?  Not so!!  And also attending the same event is gorgeous German model, Franziska Knuppe, 37, donning a rich gold, jewel-encrusted frock with delicately embroidered floral patterns.

Hope you enjoyed this week's fashionista picks.  What are your favourites? Pssst … mine was Cheryl Cole.  So drop us a line.  We would love to hear from you.

This weekend, in the great, not-so-white-yet north is Thanksgiving.  I will be spending it with my family and loved ones and as always, it'll be a blast.  Neighbours line up early to get in but, sorry folks.  It's a full house this year!!  Nevertheless, I'd like to take this opportunity to wish my fellow Canadian readers a most wonderful Thanksgiving and to thank you all for your viewership.  See you next week.  Lots of love.

Quoth The Raven: At Last A Trailer!

The Raven movie poster

My friends at Relativity have released a trailer for The Raven starring John Cusack as Edgar Allen Poe. I'm excited! I've been intrigued about this since the first images of Cusack in costume were revealed. He certainly 'looks' the part and since I'm a fan of both Poe and Cusack, I'm already in. (At one time both Ewan MacGregor and Joaquin Phoenix were attached to star as Poe. I think Cusack is a much better match.) I'm loving the dark, gritty look of the film. It reminds me of old Hammer horror pics starring Vincent Price.

Directed by James McTeigue, The Raven also stars Luke Evans (another actor who seems to be everywhere these days: ImmortalsThe Three MusketeersThe Hobbit filmsamong others)as a Baltimore detective who teams up with Poe to solve a series of grizzly murders that would seem to be based on Poe's works. The Raven also stars Alice Eve, Brendan Gleeson (always a plus) and Oliver Jackson-Cohen and will be released in the US on March 9, 2012.

Michael Fassbender’s Shame Gets a New Poster!

Michael Fassbender's Shame Gets a New Poster!

Director Steve McQueen's new film, Shame, has a new teaser poster and a tease it is too. If you don't know what the movie's about, you won't glean anything here. All we see is an empty bed with wrinkled sheets. That image, combined with the title, gives us the vaguest of hints. Shame, is about a damaged soul named Brandon, whose addiction of choice just happens to be sex, and has become something of a festival darling the past couple of months. It premiered at the Venice Film Festival, where its star, Michael Fassbender, walked away with the best actor prize before wending its way to Toronto and then Italy for the San Sebastian Film Festival. This weekend it's in the Big Apple, where the movie itself is set, as part of the New York Film Festival. It will then cross back over the pond to London for the BFI London Film Festival. It leaves viewers gobsmacked in its wake wherever it goes.

There is talk, strong talk, about Fassbender earning an Academy Award nomination for this film. By all accounts it's a brave and fearless performance (and not just because he spends so much of it walking around totally naked). The problem may be the film's rating. It will either be released with an NC-17 or go unrated altogether. McQueen has insisted he won't cut it for an 'R' and Fox Searchlight stands behind him. Without having seen the movie, YET, I applaud them. Thinking adults do not need to be protected from adult content. We can make up our own minds what we want to see. It remains to be seen whether the voting bodies for the various awards can overcome their biases. (I do realize its the theater operators who tend to panic the most. A lot of them will not show an NC-17 at all. Don't get me started on how puritanical that is.) It also limits how and where the film can be advertised. Expect a huge internet campaign for this one folks and I will happily do my part. Shame has a limited release in the US on December 2 and open in the UK on 13 January.
