I get so excited whenever I see new pics from the set of The Gangster Squad! These, I do believe are the best yet. They feature not only Ryan Gosling, as Sgt. Jerry Wooters, but we also get our first glimpses of Robert Patrick, Anthony Mackie, Giovanni Ribisi and Michael Peña.

The Gangster Squad is based on a seven-part 'LA Times' series by Paul Lieberman, and revolves around the LAPD’s fight to keep the East Coast Mob out of 1940's-50's era LA, and the creation of an elite unit called the “Gangster Squad”. Gosling stars along with Josh Brolin as his partner, John O’Mara, who are trying to take down notorious gangster Mickey Cohen (Sean Penn). Emma Stone stars as Gosling's love interest, Grace Faraday

Seen below, Patrick plays Off. Max Kennard (who replaced Bryan Cranston), Ribisi plays Conway Keeler, the squad's tech geek (before there was such a thing). Peña plays rookie Navidad Ramirez and Mackie plays Rocky Washington, a former LAPD Lieutenant. 

Good news! Warners recently announced that the release date has been moved up from the vague '2013' (which I never could understand) and The Gangster Squad is now set for October 19, 2012 (prime awards season positioning, me thinks). Woot! Enjoy the pics!

This is like the best news ever. Pink 32 is set to make her acting debut and it's not just for any part, she is set to play a sex addict. Now that's perfect casting. Not that Pink actually IS a sex addict but she has that edge to her that will lend itself very nicely to a part like that. 

Pink joins the cast of Thanks For Sharing and will play character Dede which is a lead character in the movie. Pink joins Mark Ruffalo, Gwyneth Paltrow and Tim Robbins in the film. 

Writer, director Stuart Blumberg is totally stoked to be having Pink part of his project:

"[Pink] could not be a more ideal fit for this role,""She carries with her just the right combination of heart and edginess for the part of Dede, and we're incredibly excited to share her acting talent with audiences." 

Something tells me that Pink is going to totally excel at this role and this is just the beginning of a great acting career!

Tiger Woods' ex-mistress, Rachel Uchitel 36 got married over the weekend to her boyfriend of several months Matt Hahn 26 TMZ is reporting.

Matt is a former football player turned business man and the two have been sharing a San Francisco home for several months now. TMZ obtained the marriage license that the couple got on Sunday night and filed Monday morning at 8:58 a.m. The license was filed in Clark Country, Nevada so I'm not sure if that means the two wed in Nevada but I'm guessing that is  the case.

Congrats to Rachel and Matt. 

After a five-month relationship, Blake Lively 24 and Leonardo DiCaprio 36 have split their reps have confirmed to US Weekly. And of course the pair will remain friends (don't they all) according to their reps. I suppose in Hollywood years 5 months is a couple of years in real life, no?

For their friends, the split will come as a surprise because Leo seemed very 'smitten' by this relationship and in fact friends thought these two would eventually announce their engagement. Who knows maybe it's one of those things where this couple splits a lot and gets back together a lot.

However I am beginning to think that Leo is like George Clooney in that he's a confirmed bachelor. He's had some incredible women in his life (think Gisele Bundchen and Bar Refaeli) but they never seem to last.

Gene Simmons finally made an honest woman (I really hate that expression I'm not sure why I'm using it) out of Shannon Tweed by marrying her Saturday after being together for 28 years and having 2 kids together.

The couple married in front of 400 family and friends (and cameras for their reality show Gene Simmons Family Jewels) at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

Gene's cold feet was for nothing after all:

"It was a great evening of music and fun," Simmons told PEOPLE about last Saturday's ceremony. "I look at my wedding band and think, 'What was I afraid of all this time?' "
