Bret Michaels Designing Pet Product Line

Bret Michaels Designing Pet Product Line

Poison leader rocker Bret Michaels is expanding his brand and into the pet industry no less. I haven't researched this to know, but it's a safe assumption he is the first rocker to do so.

Bret is teaming up with PetSmart to launch a line of pet products next summer. Woof baby woof. The line will be called Pet Rocks which is a bit surprising being he is a rocker and all. I would expect doggy style or something to that effect. Oink. He released a statement on the joint venture:

"As a dedicated pet owner myself, this is a natural partnership for me, and I can't wait to unveil the collection,” the singer said. “I know my own pets rock, and I wanted to design a line of pet products every bit as fun and cool as they are."

Seriously I love this man just a little bit more. You can expect dog bowls, collars, leashes, clothing and dog beds. Did I mention I love this guy just a little bit more?

VP of merchandising for Pet Smart, Matt McAdams says:

“Our pet parents have told us they want unique, high-quality products for their pets that are also fun and reflective of their personalities," "Adding the Bret Michaels Pets Rock collection to PetSmart stores enables us to continue to meet our pet parents' needs with a 'cool' line of products from an entertainer with a demonstrated passion for our four-legged family members."

I love that he loves animals that much. It was through his reality show that PetSmart saw the potential for a partnership with the bandana-wearing rocker.

Poster, Images and Red Band Trailer for I Melt With You *NSFW*

Poster, Images and Red Band Trailer for I Melt With You *NSFW*

There's this crazy new movie with Rob Lowe, Thomas Jane and Jeremy Piven that I just heard about. It's called I Melt with You and at first blush might seem like a darker version of The Hangover or Very Bad Things, but there's something more at work here. (Director Mark Pellington did a great movie a few years ago called Arlington Road with Jeff Bridges and Tim Robbins that predated 9/11 by two years. It was scary then, it's downright freaky now. Since then he's only done a couple of features (The Mothman Prophecies, Henry Poole Was Here) and has been toiling in the land of music videos.) I watched the trailer for the first time the other day and tried to dismiss it but I can't. It's stayed with me.

The premise is simple: four 40-something college friends meet up for their annual reunion and things start to spiral out of control. The trailer is truly red band and not suitable for work, filled as it is with drugs, drinking and driving,  Consider the boys from The Hangover a decade older and more lost…just plain more everything.

Check it out below. We've also got a few stills as well.

I Melt with You also stars Christian McKay, Carla Gugino. Sasha Grey and Tom Bower. It had a successful screening at  Sundance last January and will finally get a limited US release on December 9.

Bristol Palin’s Heckler Issues Apology

Bristol Palin Confronts Heckler Who Called Her Mother A 'Whore' VIDEO

Back on September 23 we reported that Bristol Palin was at a bar where she was riding a mechanical bull and some heckler called her mother a whore to which she confronted the 47 year old Stephen Hanks.

He has now had a chance to sober up and reflect on his behaviour and issued the following apology to Bristol:

"Having had an opportunity to view the camera footage of the incident this past Thursday at the Saddle Ranch Bar & Chop House in West Hollywood, and having reflected on the incident over the weekend, I have come to the conclusion that no matter what my feelings are towards Sarah Palin, I should not have expressed them towards her daughter, Bristol Palin,"

"I am very passionate about politics, and believe in equality for all Americans," Hanks continued. "I expressed my feelings in an improper manner in the heat of the moment and allowed my emotions to get the better of me. My political views are solely mine, and not those of my friends, colleagues or the establishment for which I work. I apologize to them for my poor judgment that night, and to Bristol for any hurt my actions may have caused her. I wish Bristol success with her television show, and much happiness in the future."

Apparently Stephen was receiving death threats for his tirade against Sarah Palin but in addition to that so did his family and his dog. Serious bitches it's bad enough when someone issues a death threat, but to issue it to an innocent dog pisses my lady parts off.

Either way the dude was wrong to confront her like that. If he has an issue with her mother, keep it with her. Bristol is not responsible for her mother or her actions.

Canada Did NOT Deny Russell Brand Entry

Canada Did NOT Deny Russell Brand Entry

Russell Brand is a little monkey of a prankster. Apparently he was tweeting his inability to get into Canada from CALIFORNIA! That's right he wasn't even in Canada or anywhere near it for that matter (East coast at least). I thought it was weird, because as I pointed out Vancouver let him in so it seemed odd that each province would let him in at their discretion.

Canada Did NOT Deny Russell Brand Entry

It turns out his plane had mechanical issues and he didn't even get off the ground. Russell Brand needs a spanking for this. I am available for said spanking.

New Clip and TV Spot for The Three Musketeers!

Three Musketeers as Bodice Ripping Porn!

Summit Entertainment has just released a new clip from Paul W. S. Anderson's The Three Musketeers. It's called "What?" and I'm thinking they that neither the studio nor the producers intended it the way I said that word after viewing said clip. It was more like "WHAT?!?" But I digress. Here, I'll let you watch you it then we can talk…

Here's what I see as one of the problems here (aside from the obvious). Anderson has said this is more a "reimagining" than a faithful adaptation and that the classic of French literature from whence the film gets its title is only a jumping off point. The credited writers of the screenplay are Alex Litvak, whose only other credit is the Predators reboot and Andrew Davies, whose cv reads like the programming schedule for PBS for the last 30 years. Strange bedfellows, no?

They're still using Matthew Macfadyen to do the voice-overs for the trailers and tv ads, which is smart. He does lend them a bit of decorum they otherwise lack.

The Three Musketeers opens (in 3D no less) on 12 October in the UK and October 21 in the US and Canada.
