2011 AMAs: Justin Bieber & Selena Gomez Hit The Red Carpet PHOTOS

2011 AMAs: Justin Bieber & Selena Gomez Hit The Red Carpet PHOTOS

Justin Bieber couldn't keep his hands or eyes off of girlfriend Selena Gomez on the red carpet at the 2011 American Music Awards but who can blame him? She's GORGEOUS. And didn't the Biebs look oh-so-handsome in his tux? What an adorable couple. They've been dealing with a lot of stress in the last month (his paternity lawsuit and her crazy assed stalker) but they keep on smiling and being the professionals that they are showing all of us that they are a united front.

Did you watch the American Music Awards? Was there a particular performance you favored?

This Week’s Fabulous Fashionistas: Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and More!

This Week's Fabulous Fashionistas: Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and More!

Take one part gorgeousness, another part panache and throw in just a touch of gothic and what do you get?  Kristen Stewart gracing the red carpet in a stunning gothic-inspired sequined, open-back gown from the Roberto Cavalli Spring 2012 collection at the London, U.K. premiere of Twilight:  Breaking Dawn – Part 1 on November 16.  Kristen completed her look with an Alexander McQueen black leather belt and black Jimmy Choo peep-toe stilettos.  I love how Kristen's taken the crown of her hair, twisted and pinned it back, letting it fall into loose romantic waves.  Kristen has literally been on her feet flying around the globe attending one premiere after another in the past week and still manages to look fresh and stunning!  (She even changed into her sneakers on the red carpet at the London UK premiere and still looked great.  So I say, "who can blame her?")

This Week's Fabulous Fashionistas: Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and More!

If there was one person who couldn't have cared whether Kristen was in sneakers, it would be Kristen's Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson, 25 who also attended the U.K. premiere.  Robert looked dashing in shades of gray in his suit from the Emporio Armani Collection, complimented with a lighter grey silk shirt and silk slate tie.  His crowning glory may be his beautifully tousled mane, but his most precious accessory is Kristen Stewart.  Onscreen or off screen, their chemistry is undeniable and together they make the most attractive couple (and hottest vampires) ever to walk the red carpet.  (Dear Santa:  Please bring me a vampire this Christmas.  But until then, I'll just have to keep hanging out in cemeteries.)

This Week's Fabulous Fashionistas: Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and More!

Also looking dapper at the Twilight: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 London premiere was none other than actor Taylor Lautner, 19, who plays one of the three leading roles, Jacob Black, in the Twilight franchise.  Jacob may not have gotten the girl, but Taylor gets it right as he opted for the sophistication of Gucci in a dark grey silk suit with white shirt and silk tie(And if I didn't know better, he could be strutting down the Gucci catwalk.)  For all you Team Jacob diehards, if you haven't yet seen Breaking Dawn, you will definitely enjoy it … especially the first 20 seconds of the movie [wink wink].

This Week's Fabulous Fashionistas: Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and More!

The loveliest rose of the bunch, Emma Stone, 23, wows the crowd in this stunning black and white Chanel Spring 2009 Couture floor-length dress when she attended the Museum of Modern Art 4th Annual Film Benefit: "A Tribute to Pedro Almodovar" in NYC recently.  Head-to-toe perfection, Emma finished the look with a Chanel bag, black pumps and minimal jewelry.  Her sleek updo and alluring eye make-up creates a sophisticated, yet lovely, vibe to the look.  But regardless of what Emma wears, the eyes have it.  Don't you agree she has the most beautiful eyes?

This Week's Fabulous Fashionistas: Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and More!

No fashion police needed here.  Jessica Biel, 29, steals the limelight in this Antonio Berardi Resort 2012 black velvet dress when she attended the 16th Annual GQ "Men Of The Year" Celebration at the Chateau Marmont on November 17 in Los Angeles, California.  Jessica completed the look with H. Stern earrings, Loree Rodkin rings, Christian Louboutin clutch and Rachel Roy pumps.  (All of which, every girl should have in her closet.)  The sequined embellishment across the shoulders and arms is reminiscent of a glamorous fashion era gone by.  'Nice to see Jessica bringing sexy back.  (I just had to say that.)

This Week's Fabulous Fashionistas: Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and More!

Black velvet, but with a twist!  Actress and model Jaime King, 32, attended the 2011 Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) Gala in Los Angeles on November 12 and worked the red carpet in this Oscar de la Renta Fall 2011 black velvet gown.  With the elegant knot draping down the back (and let's just ignore that tatoo), this dress needs no embellishment.  I'm feeling the love for the vintage style of the dress and Jaime wears it so well.  Jaime pulls the style together with Christian Louboutin pumps, Roger Vivier 'Olga Pilgrim' clutch, Neil Lane vintage jewelry, sultry eyes and ruby lips, completing the look with hair swept to one side.  And that, is how it's done!

This Week's Fabulous Fashionistas: Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and More!

My Gucci radar zeroed in on Jane Fonda, 74, when she attended the Los Angeles County Museum of Art's (LACMA) Inaugural Art Film Gala to honour her friend, Clint Eastwood and artist John Baldessari on November 6 in Los Angeles.  When you think about it, a gold leather jacket isn't something that just anyone can wear.  However, when the label reads Gucci Spring/Summer 2012 Collection and it's complemented with basic black and only worn by Jane Fonda, a timeless elegance is createdAnd at 74, you really have to admire how Jane has taken good care of herself and how she can wear just about anything.

Hope you enjoyed this week's picks.  What were yours?  My pick this week:  Kristen Stewart.  If you have any ideas of what you'd like to see featured, please let us know and every effort will be made to include it.  Until next week, lots of love and thanks for the viewership!

Tom Hardy as Bane and Christian Bale as The Dark Knight Cover Empire!

Tom Hardy as Bane and Christian Bale as The Dark Knight Cover Empire!

Empire has released copies of its two cover shots for their December issue. One is Christian Bale as The Dark Knight and the other is his latest nemesis, the ‘bane of his existence’ if you will, Bane, played by Tom Hardy. (Real name Dorrance, first name unknown.)  Hardy himself has called his character “…brutal. He’s a terrorist. A really horrible piece of work.” (He survives on snake venom. That would make anyone nasty.)

The pics and news, other than the actual plot, have leaked from the set of The Dark Knight Rises throughout its nearly four month shoot, (which had to have pissed off Christopher Nolan, who likes to keep a tight rein on things, but if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em). Now that filming has finally wrapped, Warner Bros. is now cranking up the machine and starting to mete out the first little bits of what will undoubtedly be blanket media and marketing from now until the July 20 release date. Reportedly there will be a full-length trailer attached to Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows,  as well as a six-minute prologue in front of Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, both of which open December 16 here in the US. How brilliant is that? Anyone on the fence about which of those films to see has just had their minds made up…BOTH!

Speaking of both, Empire asked its readers which cover they wanted and that was their response.

Below we’ve got some pics of Tom Hardy and his luscious lips, unencumbered by Bane’s Alien-esque face mask. You’re welcome.

Trailer for A Thousand Words with Eddie Murphy Will Leave You Speechless

Trailer for A Thousand Words with Eddie Murphy Will Leave You Speechless

Seriously…I have no words. Eddie Murphy’s new movie, A Thousand Words, is supposed to be the next step on his comeback tour. Tower Heist opened strong, but had no legs and fell off dramatically after the first week. Then there was that whole Academy Awards debacle. A Thousand Words was originally scheduled for January (which, if no longer cinematic Siberia, is still probably Greenland and in my opinion is the perfect place for it), but was moved to April to better capitalize on Murphy’s Oscar appearance. Oops.

The film itself seems like it’s taking an awful lot from Liar Liar, a Jim Carrey vehicle that benefitted enormously from its supporting cast, including Maura Tierney. In A Thousand Words, it’s not lies Murphy’s Jack McCall can’t utter, it’s words in general. Otherwise it’s basically the same except we get to see Murphy playing a two hour game of charades.

“After stretching the truth on a deal with a spiritual guru, literary agent Jack McCall finds a Bodhi tree on his property. Its appearance holds a valuable lesson on the consequences of every word we speak.”

Watch the trailer, courtesy of our friends at HeyUGuys. Maybe you’ll disagree. A Thousand Words costars Kerry Washington, Cliff Curtis, Clark Duke, Allison Janney and Ariel Winter and is scheduled to open March 23 in the US and 6 April in the UK.

Lovely New Poster for Detachment with Adrien Brody

Lovely New Poster for Detachment with Adrien Brody

Check out this beautiful new poster for Tony Kaye's Detachment. We’ve talked about my Adrien Brody 'jones' and the fact that I’ve been keeping my eye out for this one.  I love the fact that he still takes the roles he wants to play, regardless of size or budget. He had one scene in Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris and nearly stole the movie. Detachment played the Tribeca Film Festival last Spring (and if my boss had cooperated I was going to take the train down to NY to see it *shakes fist*) and both star and director (whose American History X reinvented Edward Norton and is a modern classic) got very good notices.  It's since been to a number of other festivals, including Deauville, for which this poster for was made.

Synopsis: Detachment is a chronicle of three weeks in the lives of several high school teachers, administrators and students through the eyes of a substitute teacher named Henry Barthes (Brody). Henry roams from school to school, imparting modes of knowledge, but never staying long enough to form any semblance of sentient attachment. A perfect profession for one seeking to hide out in the open. One day Henry arrives at his next assignment. Upon his entry into this particular school, a secret world of emotion is awakened within him by three women. A girl named Meredith in his first period, a fellow teacher Ms. Madison (Christina Hendricks), and a street hooker named Erica, whom Henry has personally granted brief shelter from the streets. Each one of these women, like Henry, are in a life and death struggle to find beauty in a seemingly vicious and loveless world.

Detachment also stars Bryan Cranston, James Caan, Lucy Liu, Blythe Danner, Maria Gay Harden, William Petersen, Tim Blake Nelson and Doug E. Doug. It gets a theatrical release here in the US in February and will be on VOD sometime before that.
