Good genes run in this family! Andie MacDowell, 53, and daughter, Sarah Margaret Qualley, 16, give new meaning to the expression "like Mother, like daughter", when they attended the L'Oreal Legends Gala at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City on November 3. This year's gala brought together the beauty, fashion, finance and media industries to benefit the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF). And I can`t think of two more beautiful women to represent the beauty industry side than Andie MacDowell and daughter Sarah Margaret. Andie looked gorgeous, as always, in a David Meister gold sequined gown, while Sarah Margaret wore a very age-befitting sea foam green coloured gown by Alberta Ferretti. I would have preferred Sarah Margaret's hair swept away in soft loose curls to show off her lovely face. But nevertheless, she is stunning and a great choice of gown for what will be the first of many red carpets for Sarah.

Also attending Wednesday night's L'Oréal Paris Legends Gala, is actress Michael Michele, 45, who also wore Alberta Ferretti in a sleek turquoise, one-shoulder gown. What I like the most about this dress is the cut-out and bows on the back. This dress makes as beautiful an exit as it does an entrance. And with Michael's subtle make-up and hair pulled back, the drop-style gem and diamond encrusted earrings are the perfect finishing touch!

Also fashioning the one-shoulder style is Grey's Anatomy actress, Sara Ramirez, 36, who is stunning in silver from head to toe when she attended The Designs For the Cure Gala to benefit Susan G. Komen at the Bel-Air Bay Club in Los Angeles on October 28. I like how Sara is able to pull off the one colour overall and still make it look not overbearing. Sara looks confident (no wonder she's grinning) as she wore just the right amount of bling completed with dazzling silver pumps. You go doc!

Naomi Watts, 43, steals the show at the premiere of J. Edgar presented by Audi at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on November 3. Naomi makes an unforgettable entrance in this stunning silver-sequined, floor-sweeping Stella McCartney gown with dropping neckline (that I hope is double-sided taped) and a thigh-high split that could go on forever. Simple make‑up with raspberry lips and strappy silver heels complete the look. Hmm … a more befitting name for the event probably would have been the Naomi Watts Leg Show. Just sayin'

If you've got it, flaunt it! So Model Tyra Banks, 37, worked it in this purple David Meister strapless gown when she arrived for the eighth annual Keep A Child Alive Black Ball in NYC November 3. The charity event raises money to help children and families affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India. This dress is perfect for a supermodel like Tyra who, at 5'10" can carry off the three different styles within the dress – the sweetheart neckline, close-fitting bowed midriff and mermaid tiered bottom. I don't about you, but I really miss seeing Tyra working the catwalk. She was the one supermodel who had a strut like no other. So I guess I'll have to settle for youtube.

From the smile on her face, it sure doesn't look like she's missing a guy named George. Instead, Italian model, Elisabetta Canalis, 33, decides to light up the red carpet when she attended the GQ Men of the Year Awards (Maenner des Jahres) at Komische Oper Berlin, Germany on October 28. Elisabetta attended the event looking heavenly in this floor-sweeping pink-champagne sequined gown. And something tells me that she won't be single for too long.

She's back! Actress Freida Pinto, 27, earns another entry in this week's Fabulous Fashionistas in this stunning magenta silk Salvatore Ferragamo Resort 2012 halter gown with gold rope neckline and matching waist tie when she attended the world premiere of her latest film Black Gold at the Tribeca Film Festival in Qatar. Completing the look are gold Amrapali accessories and gold clutch. Freida really suits this colour. If I didn't know better, she looks like an heavenly goddess.

One of my favourite royals Princess Maxima, 41, who, along with her husband, Willem-Alexander, Prince of Orange, heir apparent to the throne of the Netherlands, were in Aruba recently along with Queen Beatrix to celebrate the island's cultural heritage. Maxima is known for her stylish hats and fashion sense – as well as a smile that could light up the world – and it looks like she didn't disappoint on her recent trip. Check out her style at http://www.hellomagazine.com/profiles/crown-princess-maxima-of-the-Netherlands/biography. Another royal out and about is newly married Princess Charlene of Monaco and her hubby Prince Albert II who attended the Princess Grace Awards Gala in NYC on November 1. The Princess wore a black lace and delicately beaded Christian Dior floor-length gown. Charlene is also another royal style icon. Check out Princess Charlene's style at: Hello Magazine.

And completing this week's Fabulous Fashionistas' line-up are burlesque model and actress Dita Von Teese, 39, and model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, 24, who were in attendance at the Christian Louboutin Book Launch Party held by Barney’s New York in Beverly Hills, Calif., on November 3. I don't anyone who can pull off the stylish gothic-inspired look the way Dita can especially in this black cocktail-length dress with spiked cuffs and just as equally spiked shoes. Ouch! Don't mess with her! And also looking stylish at the event is Rosie Huntington-Whiteley who played it casual, yet elegant, in hugging – no, she's not holding her breath – fierce black leather pants with ivory damask silk blouse and keeps it connected with a clutch and metal-capped pumps that really complete this look! Rosie knows how to pull it all together. Did you know that while growing up in Devon, England, Rosie was bullied and teased at school for having a double surname as well as for small breasts and full lips, which now happen to be one of her most famous assets. Hmm … look who's laughing now!
'Hope you enjoyed this week's Fabulous Fashionista picks. What was your favourite(s)? Psst … mine was Sarah Margaret Qualley. See you next week!
