Your Chance to Be A Part of The Dark Knight Rises!

The Dark Knight Rises Gets a Teaser Poster!

Famed composer Hans Zimmer is inviting anyone and everyone to add their voices to the chorus of The Dark Knight Rises!

The official invitation: “I’m shining the bat-signal up into the sky to call you all! We need to hear your voices! Now and Loud! We are creating the sound of a worldwide chant. Everyone come and be part of it. It’s easy: There is no such thing as out-of-tune, no timing we can’t fix later. If you mumble, growl, scream or whisper, it’s all good. Make it yours. If you only get halfway through, no problem! Do it alone, bring your friends, but do it with energy and commitment. Let your voice be heard and be a part of our adventure!”

All you have to do is go to the official site, UJAM and record your voice!

Zimmer composed the music (along with James Newton Howard) for the first two of Nolan’s Batman films, Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. He flies solo on this one and many are hoping this signals a darker tone for the film as well as the music. I’ve long been a fan of the German-born Zimmer. He’s also currently at work on the score for Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows and I loved his work for the first one, but his credits make up too long a list to print here. I would wager that not only have you heard many of them but some are among your favorites. I can’t wait to hear his latest offerings!

The Dark Knight Rises starring Christian Bale as Batman and Tom Hardy as arch-villain Bane, opens July 20, 2012 everywhere.

More Great Pics From Sherlock Holmes:A Game of Shadows!

More Great Pics From Sherlock Holmes:A Game of Shadows!

We have new pics to share from Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows.  The film is still a little more than a month from release, but I’m already so excited! This one promises everything we got in 2009’s Sherlock Holmes, but MORE!

The sequel is told primarily from Watson's (Jude Law) perspective, and once it again it appears that the good doctor must try to keep Holmes (Robert Downey, Jr.) from going mad, getting himself killed, or both, as he becomes obsessed with unraveling the mystery of another crime, this one involving the man who would prove to be Holmes’ lifelong nemesis, Prof. Moriarty (Jared Harris).

Their friendship has proven time and again, in Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s stories, to be their most valuable asset and Ritchie and his screenwriters, Michelle Mulroney & Kieran Mulroney, have obviously stayed true to that, even gaining the approval of the unofficial keepers of Holmes’ legacy, "The Baker Street Irregulars" (a group of New York based Conan Doyle aficionados).   Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows opens everywhere December 16.

Lawsuit Claims Adam Lambert Was Ineligible for American Idol

Adam Lambert Brings His Glam Nation Tour To Florida

It was only 2 short years ago (although it seems much longer, right?) that Adam Lambert was runner-up on American Idol and now a lawsuit from a former company he worked with, Colwel Platinum Entertainment, claims he was still under contract with them at the time which would make him ineligible to have been on American Idol. Shut. the. front. door.

In the last short while a new album 'Beg For Mercy' has been available for sale that Adam tweeted:

Beg For Mercy project is same as ‘Take One’. some songs I worked on 5 yrs ago and never finished. This release comes as a surprise to me…”

I bet the lawsuit (which was filed Tuesday) came as an even bigger surprise.  The lawsuit came after Adam's people advised Amazon.com that they had to take sales of the album down. They had begun production on the album (finally) in July of 2011. Colwel Platinum states Adam had an agreement with one of their operations Welsford Music Productions and as such was in violation of the American Idol contract:

"Upon further information and belief, the rules governing appearances on and participation in American Idol when Lambert was a contestant provided, among other things, that contestants were ineligible if 'as of the date of [the] audition, [they had]…a music recording contract…or any other contractual arrangement that would prohibit [them] from entering into a…recording contract…" A violation of this provision was grounds for disqualification."

Apparently in 2007 and 2008 Adam had written songs with Welsford and performed some of those songs after that time period. Additionally they claim Adam was paid $200,000 for this music. The company is stating they own 50% of all publishing rights to the songs they worked on with Adam and has the right to publish them.

Earlier today Adam tweeted:

"Remember than in any dispute, reserve judgment until all the facts surface from ALL parties. Guilt and innocence come with a complete story." He followed it up with another message that said, "Eyes on the prize."

All I know is this: Adam is coming out with an album in February or March of 2012 and I really hope this lawsuit does not interfere with that because this biotch wants to buy it and see him on the subsequent tour that is bound to happen. I know I'm not alone in my feeling, right kittens?

First Official Look at Ryan Gosling in The Place Beyond the Pines

First Official Look at Ryan Gosling in The Place Beyond the Pines

The Place Beyond the Pines, writer/director Derek Cianfrance's follow-up effort to last year's indie darling, Blue Valentine, stars Ryan Gosling and Bradley Cooper. We’ve shown you set pics including Baby Goose feeding a baby (human) and Cooper’s weird 80s coif. The above is the first official image released by Sierra Infiinity. Love the red leather, still not crazy about those crazy skull & crossbones 80s pajama pants. New details have also emerged since the last time we talked about this film, as well. While the director himself has called the film a “Darwinistic idea of survival through ancestry”, he claims to have been told it’s an epic in the tradition of “The Deerhunter meets The Godfather.” The title comes from the name of the city of Schenectady, New York, where a lot of the filming took place, which is the Mohawk word for "beyond the pine plains."

Synopsis: Luke (Gosling) is a professional motorcycle rider who turns to bank robberies to support his newborn son, but when he crosses paths with a rookie police officer (Cooper) their violent confrontation spirals into a tense generational feud. THE PLACE BEYOND THE PINES is a rich dramatic thriller that traces the intersecting lives of fathers and sons, cops and robbers, heroes and villain.

The rest of the cast for The Place Beyond the Pines includes Eva Mendes, Rose Byrne, Ray Liotta and Ben Mendelson and is slated for a release sometime in 2013. (2013? For an independent film with no special effects? Are they still raising money to finish the thing?) Odds are it will make the rounds of the festivals next year, starting in May with Cannes.

Cool First Poster for Magic Movie, Now You See Me!

Cool First Poster for Magic Movie, Now You See Me!

Have you heard about this new heist slash magic movie, Now You See Me? Love the cool new poster. We haven’t had a good movie about magic and magicians since the one two punch of The Prestige and The Illusionist back in 2006. Both of those were set in the past when it took far less to dazzle an audience. Now You  See Me is set in the here and now and makes use of all sorts of modern technology.

Synopsis: “The Four Horsemen, a magic super-group led by the charismatic ATLAS (Jesse Eisenberg), perform a pair of high-tech magic shows, first astonishing audiences by robbing a bank on another continent, and then exposing a white-collar criminal and funneling his millions into the audience members’ bank accounts.

FBI Special Agent DYLAN (Mark Ruffalo) is determined to make the magicians pay for their crimes—and to stop them before they pull off what promises to be an even more audacious heist. But he’s forced to partner with ALMA (Melanie Laurent), an Interpol detective about whom he is instantly suspicious. Out of desperation he turns to THADDEUS (Morgan Freeman), a famed magic debunker, who claims the bank heist was accomplished using disguises and video trickery. One thing Dylan and Alma agree on is that the Horsemen must have an outside point person, and that finding him (or her) is key to ending the magicians’ crime spree. Could it be Thaddeus? Or Alma? Or could it really be…magic?

As pressure mounts and the world awaits the Horsemen’s spectacular final trick, Dylan and Alma race to find an answer. But it soon becomes painfully clear that staying one step ahead of these masters of illusion is beyond the skills of any one man—or woman.”

Now You See Me sports a really fine cast. In addition to the marquee names above, it also includes Isla Fisher (We love her), Woody Harrelson, Michael Caine and Dave Franco. It’s directed by Louis Leterriere which some are seeing as a positive sign but I’m not so sure. He’s got the action cred but he made such a mess out of the Clash of the Titans reboot that I can’t get excited about how he’ll handle the plot (especially considering there are about six writers credited with the script.) We’ll see. Now You See Me is scheduled to open January 2013.

This Week’s Fabulous Fashionistas: Andie MacDowell, Michael Michele and More

This Week's Fabulous Fashionistas: Andie MacDowell, Michael Michele and More

Good genes run in this family!  Andie MacDowell, 53, and daughter, Sarah Margaret Qualley, 16, give new meaning to the expression "like Mother, like daughter", when they attended the L'Oreal Legends Gala at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City on November 3.  This year's gala brought together the beauty, fashion, finance and media industries to benefit the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF).  And I can`t think of two more beautiful women to represent the beauty industry side than Andie MacDowell and daughter Sarah Margaret.  Andie looked gorgeous, as always, in a David Meister gold sequined gown, while Sarah Margaret wore a very age-befitting sea foam green coloured gown by Alberta Ferretti.  I would have preferred Sarah Margaret's hair swept away in soft loose curls to show off her lovely face.  But nevertheless, she is stunning and a great choice of gown for what will be the first of many red carpets for Sarah.

Also attending Wednesday night's L'Oréal Paris Legends Gala, is actress Michael Michele, 45, who also wore Alberta Ferretti in a sleek turquoise, one-shoulder gown.  What I like the most about this dress is the cut-out and bows on the back.  This dress makes as beautiful an exit as it does an entrance.  And with Michael's subtle make-up and hair pulled back, the drop-style gem and diamond encrusted earrings are the perfect finishing touch!

Also fashioning the one-shoulder style is Grey's Anatomy actress, Sara Ramirez, 36, who is stunning in silver from head to toe when she attended The Designs For the Cure Gala to benefit Susan G. Komen at the Bel-Air Bay Club in Los Angeles on October 28.  I like how Sara is able to pull off the one colour overall and still make it look not overbearing.  Sara looks confident (no wonder she's grinning) as she wore just the right amount of bling completed with dazzling silver pumps.  You go doc!

Naomi Watts, 43, steals the show at the premiere of J. Edgar presented by Audi at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on November 3.  Naomi makes an unforgettable entrance in this stunning silver-sequined, floor-sweeping Stella McCartney gown with dropping neckline (that I hope is double-sided taped) and a thigh-high split that could go on forever.  Simple make‑up with raspberry lips and strappy silver heels complete the look.  Hmm … a more befitting name for the event probably would have been the Naomi Watts Leg Show.  Just sayin'

This Week's Fabulous Fashionistas: Andie MacDowell, Michael Michele and More

If you've got it, flaunt it!  So Model Tyra Banks, 37, worked it in this purple David Meister strapless gown when she arrived for the eighth annual Keep A Child Alive Black Ball in NYC November 3.  The charity event raises money to help children and families affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India.  This dress is perfect for a supermodel like Tyra who, at 5'10" can carry off the three different styles within the dress – the sweetheart neckline, close-fitting bowed midriff and mermaid tiered bottom.  I don't about you, but I really miss seeing Tyra working the catwalk.  She was the one supermodel who had a strut like no other.  So I guess I'll have to settle for youtube.

This Week's Fabulous Fashionistas: Andie MacDowell, Michael Michele and More

From the smile on her face, it sure doesn't look like she's missing a guy named George.  Instead, Italian model, Elisabetta Canalis, 33, decides to light up the red carpet when she attended the GQ Men of the Year Awards (Maenner des Jahres) at Komische Oper Berlin, Germany on October 28.  Elisabetta attended the event looking heavenly in this floor-sweeping pink-champagne sequined gown.  And something tells me that she won't be single for too long.

This Week's Fabulous Fashionistas: Andie MacDowell, Michael Michele and More

She's back!  Actress Freida Pinto, 27, earns another entry in this week's Fabulous Fashionistas in this stunning magenta silk Salvatore Ferragamo Resort 2012 halter gown with gold rope neckline and matching waist tie when she attended the world premiere of her latest film Black Gold at the Tribeca Film Festival in Qatar.  Completing the look are gold Amrapali accessories and gold clutch.  Freida really suits this colour.  If I didn't know better, she looks like an heavenly goddess.

This Week's Fabulous Fashionistas: Andie MacDowell, Michael Michele and More

One of my favourite royals Princess Maxima, 41, who, along with her husband, Willem-Alexander, Prince of Orange, heir apparent to the throne of the Netherlands, were in Aruba recently along with Queen Beatrix to celebrate the island's cultural heritage.  Maxima is known for her stylish hats and fashion sense – as well as a smile that could light up the world – and it looks like she didn't disappoint on her recent trip.  Check out her style at http://www.hellomagazine.com/profiles/crown-princess-maxima-of-the-Netherlands/biography.  Another royal out and about is newly married Princess Charlene of Monaco and her hubby Prince Albert II who attended the Princess Grace Awards Gala in NYC on November 1.  The Princess wore a black lace and delicately beaded Christian Dior floor-length gown.  Charlene is also another royal style icon.  Check out Princess Charlene's style at: Hello Magazine.

This Week's Fabulous Fashionistas

And completing this week's Fabulous Fashionistas' line-up are burlesque model and actress Dita Von Teese, 39, and model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, 24, who were in attendance at the Christian Louboutin Book Launch Party held by Barney’s New York in Beverly Hills, Calif., on November 3.  I don't anyone who can pull off the stylish gothic-inspired look the way Dita can especially in this black cocktail-length dress with spiked cuffs and just as equally spiked shoes.  Ouch!  Don't mess with her!  And also looking stylish at the event is Rosie Huntington-Whiteley who played it casual, yet elegant, in hugging – no, she's not holding her breath – fierce black leather pants with ivory damask silk blouse and keeps it connected with a clutch and metal-capped pumps that really complete this look!  Rosie knows how to pull it all together.  Did you know that while growing up in Devon, England, Rosie was bullied and teased at school for having a double surname as well as for small breasts and full lips, which now happen to be one of her most famous assets.  Hmm … look who's laughing now!

'Hope you enjoyed this week's Fabulous Fashionista picks.  What was your favourite(s)?  Psst … mine was Sarah Margaret Qualley.  See you next week!
