Scarlett Johansson Talks Cell Phone Pics With Letterman

Scarlett Johansson Talks Cell Phone Pics With Letterman

Scarlett Johansson stopped by David Letterman's last night while on her publicity tour for 'We Bought A Zoo' and the conversation naturally went to the nude leaked cell phone pics that made their way around the internet. While she was understandably mortified, Letterman gave her a different take on the situation:

"On the other hand, a way to look at it is a lovely thing for mankind,"

Apparently during the time he was hacking into her email her password kept changing constantly:

"So it meant the guy was really there constantly," she said. "He was just sitting there all pasty and sweaty and pervy and weird and that's the creepiest thing, really."

She also tells how her grandmother heard the reason she and Ryan Reynolds split up was because he was forcing her to have children. She then imitates her grandmother leaving her a message about that 'bastard' Ryan Reynolds. It's hysterical!

Two New Clips for Adrien Brody in Detachment

Lovely New Poster for Detachment with Adrien Brody

We have two new clips for Tony Kaye’s Detachment starring Oscar winner Adrien Brody. We’ve talked about this film before and the fact that I’m looking forward to it. In the film, Brody plays a disconnected substitute teacher Henry Barthes struggling to find his way. He bounces from school to school, avoiding any sort of attachment (hence, the title) to his students, but a placement at an underprivileged school with a student body looking for inspiration becomes his chance at salvation.

Henry Barthes Needs Someone to Talk To

Henry Barthes Loses His Cool

The film screened at the Tribeca Film Festival last spring and IFC films finally picked it up but they  are taking their time releasing it. You’d think they would have wanted to capitalize on the great reception Brody’s turn as Salvador Dali received in Woody Allen’s Midnight in Paris. Perhaps if that film gets some awards recognition (which it might. The screenplay is being talked up as well as Corey Stoll’s performance as Ernest Hemingway), then Detachment might get a bit of a bounce.

Marcia Gay Harden, Christina Hendricks, William Petersen, Bryan Cranston and James Caan also star. Detachment hits Video on Demand February 24th, and theaters in March.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo World Premiere in London! (pics)

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo World Premiere in London! (pics)

You'd have that expression on your face, too if you had that arm around you.

Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara brought the sexy to chilly London’s Leicester Square tonight, Monday December 12 as The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo had its world premiere with a big red carpet splash at the West End’s Odeon Cinema.

Mara, plucked from relative obscurity to star in David Fincher's remake of the Swedish hit and now stands on a red carpet with Daniel Craig's arm around her, is model thin and looked effortlessly elegant in a white backless dress by Givenchy Couture. She didn’t even look cold. Craig looked like he was dressed for the weather in a ¾ length leather topcoat so I have no idea what the suit beneath looked like. What a tease! Oh well, he brought his preternaturally blue eyes, so I can’t complain. And he smiled in a couple of the pics. Bonus!

Also in attendance were costars Stellan Skarsgard and Joely Richardson, who looked gorgeous as well as assorted homegrown British celebs like girl band Fanfair, Matt Cardle (X Factor winner 2010) and Sarah Robinson (X Factor dancer), someone named Laura Whitmore dressed in a strange combination of hot pants and mittens, Geraldine James (looking nothing like Mrs. Hudson from Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows), starlet Elodie Yung, reality show stars Francesca Hull and Gabriella Ellis and Peaches Geldof and her latest fiancé, Thomas Cohen.

(The best part of all of this, can NY and LA premieres be far behind? No, they can’t! Wednesday night is the NY Premiere! More pics!) The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo opens in theaters December 21 in the US and Canada and 26th December in the UK.

Watch New Clips for Angelina Jolie’s In the Land of Blood and Honey

Poster and New Images for In the Land of Blood & Honey from Director Angelia Jolie

From Film District and GK Films comes a film written and directed by Angelina Jolie called In the Land of Blood and Honey. We've shown you the official trailer, posters and a few stills. Now we have some clips of the film to share.  It's an intelligent, artful look at a love story set during the Bosnian War;  about Danijel (Goran Kostić) and Ajla (Zana Marjanović), two Bosnians from different sides of a brutal ethnic conflict. It's a sort of Romeo and Juliette for a time so much more blood-soaked and fundamentally divided than even Shakespeare's 13thcentury Italy.

Danijel, a Bosnian Serb police officer, and Ajla, a Bosnian Muslim artist, are together before the war, but their relationship is changed as violence engulfs the country. Months later, Danijel is serving under his father, General Nebojsa Vukojevich (Rade Šerbed

Watch the New Trailer for ParaNorman!

Watch the New Trailer for ParaNorman!

“You Don't Become a Hero by Being Normal”. Indeed.

There’s a new trailer for stop-motion animated feature from Laika Entertainment and Focus Features, ParaNorman. The film is directed by Sam Fell and Chris Butler (who also wrote it). I’d been watching the first trailer in theaters for months and I have to say, it looks like a LOT of fun.

Synopsis: A misunderstood boy who can speak with the dead, takes on ghosts, zombies and grown-ups to save his town from a centuries-old curse.

Poor misunderstood Norman (Kodi Smit-McPhee The Road, Let Me In) is able to see and speak with the dead. In addition to the zombies, he'll have to take on ghosts, witches and, worst of all, moronic grown-ups, to save his town from the centuries-old curse. But this young ghost whisperer may find his paranormal activities pushed to their otherworldly limits.

Co-director Butler worked on Coraline and The Corpse Bride and it certainlylooks like he was influenced by both of those previous films (as well as the work of Neil Gaiman and Tim Burton in general.) In addition to Smit-McPhee, the voice cast includes Casey Affleck, Tempestt Bledsoe, Jeff Garlin, John Goodman, Bernard Hill, Anna Kendrick, Leslie Mann, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Alex Borstein, Jodelle Ferland and Elaine Stritch. ParaNorman opens August 17 in the US and 14th September in the UK.

We have some images to share as well. Enjoy!

Watch the First Trailer for Men in Black III!

Watch the First Trailer for Men in Black III!

Sony Pictures has unveiled the first trailer for Men in Black III with Will Smith. I have to admit to having no feelings one way or the other about this movie, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the trailer. In Men in Black III, which is the continuation of the studio’s second highest-grossing franchise (next to Spider-Man, which is also getting a brand new installment next summer), Agent J (Will Smith) must go back in time, to 1969 and the Age of Aquarius specifically, to meet a younger version of Tommy Lee Jones’ Agent K. J must undo the death of his best friend and partner.

Josh Brolin as K as a younger man…how perfect is that casting? The expression on his face in that brief glimpse captures Jones to a ‘T’.   (How bizarre is it that if it were Smith’s younger self we were supposed to meet, they wouldn’t even need to hire another actor? He looks exactly the same as he did in the 1997. That ain't right.)

Back for more is director by Barry Sonenfield, who helmed the first two films. Men in Black III (in 3D of course) also stars Alice Eve, Emma Thompson, Rip Torn, Bill Hader, Michael Stuhlbarg and Jemaine Clement. It was written by Ethan Coen (as well as David Koepp, Michael Soccio and Jeff Nathanson) while Danny Elfman once again provides the score. It was executive produced by Steven Spielberg. That’s some pedigree.  The film opens the summer 2012 movie season on May 25 in the US, Canada and the UK.
