Jerry Sandusky MUG SHOT

Jerry Sandusky MUG SHOT

Earlier today Jerry Sandusky (former Penn State assistant coach) was arrested on 9 new sex abuse charges by two alleged victims. He is in a Pennsylvania county jail with bail being set at $250,000. So far no one has raised the bail money and the bastard is still rotting away. I know, I know innocent until proven guilty but this makes TEN VICTIMS coming forward.

Apparently they both have provided information that shows the same pattern:

"As in many of the other cases identified to date, the contact with Sandusky allegedly fit a pattern of ‘grooming’ victims … Beginning with outings to football games and gifts; they later included physical contact that escalated to sexual assaults.”

The second victim that came forward was 10 years old at the time. This really makes my effing skin crawl. And for all of the cover up by too many people is beyond disgusting.

He has been charged with four counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, and 2 of unlawful contact with a minor.  EACH felony can carry up to 20 years in prison and $25K in fines.

X Factor Steve Jones Takes It Off For Ellen PHOTOS/VIDEO

X Factor Steve Jones Takes It Off For Ellen PHOTOS/VIDEO

Britain's hot host of X Factor Steve Jones paid a visit to one very lucky Ellen DeGeneres and took his top off and for that we are eternally grateful. While he is a little hairier than my preference, I could probably find it within my cold, empty heart to overlook that tiny little detail.

We've included the video if you want to see it live-like or if you just want to stare and drool over the photos we've got you covered. It's what we're all about: feeding your habit. Enjoy your Steve Jones eye candy porn and you are very welcome.

Four Beautiful Posters and Wonderful Intense Images from Flowers of War with Christian Bale

Four Beautiful Posters and Wonderful Intense Images from Flowers of War with Christian Bale

Just when it seems that movie posters are becoming bland, over photo-shopped and boring with nothing but the big heads of the film’s stars to attempt to differentiate one from another (indeed looking like the poster for the last big thing is actually favored) something comes along to dispel that notion. The exceptional posters from Zhan Yimou’s Flowers of War do just that.  These gorgeous examples are a collector’s dream. I want to frame and hang them all. (There are six so far. These are 4, 5, 6)

Flowers of War is China's official entry for the 2012 Academy Awards. It's the story of the Nanjing Massacre in 1937, when thousands of inhabitants of the then-capital Nanjing were murdered by invading Japanese troops (referred to historically as ‘the Rape of Nanking’). The film is still pretty much a mystery to Oscar voters and certainly to US audiences. An American mortician in mourning seeks refuge in a Catholic cathedral and finds himself in the middle of a war. Hiding as a priest named John, he shelters prostitutes and students during the attack, and as the trailer revealed, negotiates an uneven peace with Japanese troops.  The surprising part of this is that the priest is played by Christian Bale. The film is in both English and Mandarin and has gotten some buzz since its selection as China’s official choice, but most of it surrounds Bale’s participation. According to THR, Bale is “the first major Westerner to play a lead role in a Chinese movie”, China’s most expensive movie (est. $100 million) to date, at that and he has Steven Spielberg, his Empire of the Sun director to thank for  recommending him to director Zhang Yimou (Red Sorghum, House of Flying Daggers).

This is a very different Bale from caped crusader Bruce Wayne or his Oscar winning performance as Dickie Eklund in The Fighter, but then again, every Bale performance is different. No two are alike as he's a true chameleon.  I think that’s why he’s right for this. He throws everything he has at a role but at the same time he disappears into it. The film looks brutal and intense and although I confess to not knowing much about this pivotal piece of Chinese history, Bale's presence has me curious. I hope I get to see it on a big screen, but see I’ll see it nonetheless.

The movie will be released for one week in the US in late December; it premieres in China on Dec. 16. I’m certain it will make it to dvd, but may even get another theatrical run if Flowers of War wins the Best Foreign Film category at February's Oscars.

Pics from the Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows LA Premiere!

Pics from the Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows LA Premiere!

Stars Robert Downey, Jr., Noomi Rapace, Rachel McAdams and Jared Harris as well as director Guy Ritchie and producers Joel Silver and Susan Downey made their way down the black carpet in front of the Fox Westwood Village Theater last night, Tuesday December 6 in Los Angeles for the premiere of Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows

Noomi (whose dress had pockets! Love!) and Rachel looked stunning. (Where was the adorable Michael Sheen? He was probably there just not into stealing his woman’s spotlight. Speaking of which, sorry Guy but I think you’re going to have some trouble on your hands. You might be more famous than your baby mama,  Jacqui Ainsley, NOW, but I think she’d like to rectify that, just judging from these pics and the body language. But maybe I just hate her because she looks like THAT just three months after having a baby.) While it’s always lovely to see new pics of RDJ and his beautiful and very pregnant wife Susan, I’m surprised Jude Law and Stephen Fry didn’t make the hop across the big pond for the soiree.  The flick did bring out notorious spotlight-avoider Jodie Foster, as well as Max Von Sydow, Pharrell Williams (not together, that would just be odd) and those that would attend the opening of an envelope, like perpetual ingénue Amber Heard.

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows opens December 16 everywhere.

Second Trailer for Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close Just as Harrowing as the First

Second Trailer for Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close Just as Harrowing as the First

Just like the first one, this second trailer for Stephen Daldry's (The Hours, Billy Elliott) Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close  looks like it's just gonna rip me to shreds! It's the story of a boy whose father (Tom Hanks) is killed on 9/11. Their relationship is shown in flashbacks as the boy (newcomer Thomas Horn) and his mother (Sandra Bullock) are still trying, two years later,  to cope with the loss. There's also a mystery involving a key.

The official synopsis: A nine-year-old amateur inventor, jewelry designer, astrophysicist, tambourine player and pacifist, searches New York for the lock that matches a mysterious key left by his father when he was killed in the September 11 attacks.

This new trailer puts the focus more on the boy, (whom I find, to be honest, kind of grating. He over enunciates as if he's had dramatic training since birth) and his search for what that key unlocks. Horn does appear to be capable of handling the emotional elements, despite what I think about his speech patterns. He's probably a "find".

Based on Jonathan Safran Foer’s 2005 novel, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close has a screenplay by Eric Roth (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Forrest Gump, The Insider, Ali, Munich) and also stars Max Von Sydow, Viola Davis, Jeffrey Wright and John Goodman. It opens in limited (read awards season) release on Christmas Day and then wide on January 20 in the US and 3 February in the UK.
