Another Creepy New Poster and Stills from The Woman in Black!
We’ve been talking about James Watkins' ghost story, The Woman in Black with Daniel Radcliffe since late August. I’m ready to see this classic Victorian gothic spook-fest already! Actually, it’s only a little over a month away now. We’ve seen a definite uptick in material released to promote it lately, including new trailers and tv spots.
Today we have another new poster and a few new stills. The poster makes more use of the tagline "What did they see", using images similar to the last poster – like those creepy kids with the scatched-out eyes – as well as reinforcing the eerie tone of the whole thing. I’m excited about the stills because they, much like the last trailer, give us a bit more of Ciaran Hinds.
Radcliffe stars as Arthur Kipps who is ordered to travel to a remote village and sort out a recently deceased client’s papers. As he works alone in the client’s isolated house, Kipps begins to uncover tragic secrets, his unease growing when he glimpses a mysterious woman dressed only in black. Receiving only silence from the locals, Kipps is forced to uncover the true identity of the Woman in Black on his own, leading to a desperate race against time when he discovers her true intent.
The Woman in Black, written by Jane Goldman (Stardust, Kick-Ass and X-Men: First Class) also stars Janet McTeer (a recent SAG, Independent Spirit and Golden Globe nominee for Albert Nobbs) and Roger Allam, begins haunting theaters in the US on February 3 and in the UK on 10th February.
