Katy Perry's father Keith Hudson has been told to keep his mouth shut and do not speak publicly about her split and impending divorce from Russell Brand. 

If you recall we reported that Brand filed for divorce last week shocking the world (but not me because my prayers were basically answered..I'm kidding..that's not nice..but I heart him so and I just love when a plan comes together *evil laugh*). At first it was reported that Katy was blindsided by it but then the truth came out: she got Russell to do her dirty work for her. Reason being: her evangelical parents. They are dead set against divorce and she didn't want to be the one to file.

So here's what I don't get (and keep in mind that caffeine has not seeped it's way into my bloodstream yet), how is it you are so afraid to be the one to file for divorce because you fear your parents, yet you don't fear them enough to tell them to keep their mouths shut about it? That seems a little 'off' to me.

In my humble opinion (and I realize my judgment is clouded because of my lust for Russell Brand) Katy is doing everything to not make herself look bad in the public eye.  I think that sucks if that's the case. Tell us what you think.
