Want Tom Hardy to Be Your Valentine? Fox Moves Up This Means War Just in Time!
Ya know…somehow I knew this would happen. 20th Century Fox has decided to move up by three days its comedy-action film This Means War, to Tuesday, February 14. Actually, I figured they’d just leave the date where it was and offer “special advance sneak peeks” or whatever the vernacular is.
But, apparently they’ve made this “audacious decision based on “outstanding test screenings and strong word of mouth”.
Commented Bruce Snyder, president of Fox domestic distribution: “Starting Valentine's Day, we're making WAR, not love. We’re armed and ready with the perfect movie. This is a picture that that has it all – humor, charm, wit and action – and it plays through the roof. ”
Chris Pine and Tom Hardy portray the world’s deadliest CIA operatives, as well as inseparable partners and best friends… until they fall for the same woman (Reese Witherspoon). Having once helped bring down entire enemy nations, they are now employing their incomparable skills and an endless array of high-tech gadgetry against their greatest nemesis ever – each other.
Now if we can get a decent poster, that would be dynamite. This Means War doesn't look like your standard rom-com. I'm sure Fox thinks it's one a guy won't mind sitting through, thus earning him points with his Valentine. So, does the new release date mean anything to you? Are you planning to see it? I think it looks like a lot of fun. Plus, you know…Tom Hardy…with his real accent. So yeah…
