Whitney Houston Was Great In Last Studio Recording Session

It's been less than a week since Whitney Houston died and I don't know about you but it's so very surreal still. Although she was drinking heavily leading up to her death by all accounts people were saying she was very happy.
Music producer Harvey Mason Jr. is one of those people that talked about how happy and full of life she was. The two were at his recording studio together the evening of February 7th where she was there to record her part for the song 'Celebrate' from 'Sparkle' the film she had done with Jordin Sparks:
"We stood around and joked, listened to music, and we got her this throat coat tea she likes," "Then she got in the booth, started her vocal session with a prayer as she always did, and worked for about three to four hours. We ended the session dancing around the control room while she said 'Turn it up! Turn it up!' She was so fun-loving."
And like most duets go, Whitney and Jordin didn't actually sing together in the studio but Whitney did her parts over the last couple of weeks and:
"wanted to make sure Jordin had enough time to shine on the song," says Mason. "She loved all of the female singers coming up."
And being the perfectionist she was, it was to be nothing short of perfect, but that's not to say she was stressed out by the process:
"She was excited, not overworked. I've been around her when she is overworked. She comes into the studio and is kind of down and quiet and just wants to get in and out. This was not like that. Whitney was worried about her fans, but there was no undue pressure."
Doesn't that make it just that much sadder? It's like Michael Jackson in that he was on the brink of a comeback at the time of his death. Speaking of him can you believe it will be three years this June 25 that he has passed?
Harvey confirms that Whitney sounded really good in the studio and that she was really excited to attend Clive Davis' pre-Grammy party.
