Long time animal rights activist Ricky Gervais has put his celebrity behind the Cruelty Free International organization whose aim is to ban the world from the unnecessary and cruel animal testing on cosmetics that still goes on.

He shares kisses with a bunny while talking about his role with the new non-profit organization:

“I am delighted to support the launch of Cruelty Free International, the exciting global campaign to end the use of animals in product testing. Animal testing for cosmetics is still allowed in most of the world. That means thousands of animals can continue to die for the sake of a new shampoo. We urgently need a worldwide ban on this cruel and unnecessary suffering.”

“It's time to close the door on testing products on animals.  Get involved. Please join me in supporting Cruelty Free International in its global mission to consign animal testing for cosmetics to the history books."

Dog Whisperer Cesar Millan has joined the It Gets Better Project that was organized to help the LGBT community after a number of young kids took their life after being bullied by classmates. He says on his site:

Growing up in Mexico, I was bullied for being poor, short and "el perrero"—the dirty dog boy. I wanted to create this video for the It Gets Better Project to let kids know that it really does get better. I encourage you to please share it with anyone you think it could help.

We kind of take for granted the fact that he is probably the best dog trainer but meanwhile, like all of us, he had his challenges getting to where he is. It's wonderful what Cesar does for dogs and it's wonderful that he is being a part of this great organization.

New mom Charlize Theron got glammed up to attend last night's 2012 Human Right's Campaign gala in Los Angeles looking more beautiful than she normally does. The 36 year old glamazon spoke with Ryan Seacrest on Friday about her 4 month old baby Jackson and swaddling:

“Everyone’s just been so lovely — it’s been really nice.”

“I didn’t think I would be a fan of the swaddling, but the swaddling’s pretty amazing,” she says.

“It sort of looks a bit like a straitjacket — you’re like, ‘Is this child abuse?’ — but for some reason they just love it.”

Also attending last night's event was True Blood hottie Joe Manganiello, Chelsea Handler (seriously what the hell is with those boots), Ross Matthews and more.

Russell Brand is seen here visiting Cafe Gratitude after his recent arrest for hurling a photographer's cell phone through a window. He got released but later TMZ reported that he was actually booked for a felony not a misdemeanor which isn't good on many fronts but namely he probably won't be getting his ass into Canada any time soon. In Louisiana property damage exceeding $500 is considered a felony. Between the cell phone and the window we are talking over that limit.

Judging by the pictures he doesn't seem too fazed. I think he looks hot in these pictures. I'm loving that hat on him and of course I've always enjoyed him in tight pants.
