Kanye West brought back the past he wanted all of us to forget.  The MTV Video Music Awards drama he caused with Taylor Swift is flashing before our eyes once again.

This time Kanye took to his Twitter to “take down” Britney Spears who is number one and he’s at number two.  He Tweeted,

“Yo Britney, I’m really happy for you and I’mma let you be #1, but me and Jay-Z single is one of the best songs of all time!”

Then he immediately tweeted the same thing, adding an LOL at the end,

“Yo Britney, I’m really happy for you and I’mma let you be #1, but me and Jay-Z single is one of the best songs of all time! LOL”

Brit’s manager responded,

“@kanyewest Thanks for “letting” us be #1. Much appreciated…. -Adam Leber, Manager”

About three hours later, after receiving a lot of heat for it, Kanye started backpedaling,

“On a serious note I’m truly happy for @AvrilLavigne and @BritneySpears… No hate in 2011!”

He finished his “defense” with ,

“I thought LOL signified a joke… I didn’t get the 2011 LOL doesn’t signify a joke anymore memo… LOL or something else I guess”

Well Kanye, LOL works for everyone on the planet, EXCEPT for you.  Keep your I’mas to yourself.   Douche.

Usher performed at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas last night and man!   He looked fierce!  That boy looks like he wants to tear something up with his teeth.  His nostrils are all flared, he’s like a dragon!  OMG.  That is too much.

Ever since his VMAs performance this year, I’ve been a bit annoyed with him.  There is nothing wrong with wanting to be like Michael Jackson.  He was a great performer.  But there is something wrong with thinking that you can replace him or actually be him.  I get that vibe from Usher and it really bothers me…. almost as much as hearing ‘OMG,’ repeatedly.

Cher was a pleasant surprise at the MTV VMA’s last night when she presented Lady GaGa the award for Video of the Year. The outfit she wore was the one she wore 21 years ago for ‘If I Could Turn Back Time‘. I can’t get into last week’s pants! That’s pretty impressive period, but for a 64 year old woman to be able to do that is incredible!

Lady GaGa taunted PETA with her meat dress last night.  It was clearly Lady GaGa‘s night with all her wins (8 in all one of which is a collaboration with Beyonce for Telephone). Upon accepting her Video of the Year from Cher she announced to her little monsters the title of her next album which is “Born This Way“.

She sang a bit from the song and I have to say her voice is incredible. She sat down with Ellen DeGeneres and explained the outfit:

“It’s certainly no disrespect to anyone that’s vegan or vegetarian,”  ”As you know I’m the most judgment-free human being on the Earth. It has many interpretations, but for me this evening it’s [saying] if we don’t stand up for what we believe in, if we don’t fight for our rights, pretty soon we’re going to have as much rights as the meat on our bones.”

Thank christ she explained it.  It makes even less sense now.

It was nice to see Jared Leto and Thirty Seconds To Mars win Best Rock Video with Kings and Queens.

Aside from Maria Menounos (pictured above) I didn’t think anybody’s outfit was all that great at last night’s MTV VMAs. Katy Perry admitted she looked like a figure skater.  Her saving grace was the little faces of fiance Russell Brand on her finger nails. Coincidentally as I was watching the MTV VMA’s I was wearing panties that had Russell Brand’s face on them.

Lady GaGa looked like a proud peacock in her outfit. Her outfits always look very uncomfortable to me. Snooki dipped herself a little to long in the bronzing cauldron before the show.

Overall the outfits and the show itself were kind of uneventful.  I love Chelsea Handler but I don’t think she was the greatest host.  I liked her opening skit that featured Lindsay Lohan.

I loved watching Eminem perform and then singing Love The Way You Lie with Rihanna but it was cut short. Perhaps that’s because he had to catch a plane.

Taylor Swift’s song was apparently about forgiving Kanye West and I guess the best reference to that was when she sang you are not what you did. Apparently they met backstage and talked before she went out and all is good.  According to US they both agreed not to talk to others about their conversation.

Kanye’s song was hysterical Let’s have a toast for the douchebags.  I would have thought he would sing his song for Taylor Swift but I’m pretty sure that wasn’t it. Kanye still has his edge about him, doesn’t he?

Tonight’s MTV Video Music Awards has a surprise for Kanye West:  Taylor Swift has written a song about her experience with him from last year’s awards and will be performing it tonight according to the Associated Press! I thought I was excited for the VMA’s before, but now I’m squealing like the pig that I am.

If you recall Kanye West stole Taylor’s moment from her at last year’s VMA’s when she won Best Female Video by taking the mic and saying basically that Beyonce got robbed.

The song is from Taylor’s album Speak Now that is due out in October. Apparently she had a secret rehearsal on Friday for tonight’s show.

Kanye is going to be at tonight’s awards as he is presenting.  It should be interesting to see how he is received.  He’s been sending apologetic Tweets lately trying to garner sympathy from people.

Interesting how he does this just before the VMA’s, huh? I always get a chuckle out of people who think they are so clever that others can’t see through their real intentions. Methinks Kanye is just a little nervous about the reaction he will receive.
