Reese Witherspoon 35, was quite happy to receive her Generation Award at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards last night by Robert Pattinson, Patrick Dempsey and friend Chelsea Handler.

During her acceptance speech the Oscar winning actress (for Walk The Line) had some sage advice for young girls trying to make their way in Hollywood. And by sage advise I mean a veiled (or not really) dig at Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton, Blake Lively (we are assuming) and anyone else whose claim to fame is sex tapes and/or reality shows:

“I get it, girls, that it’s cool to be a bad girl,” the 35-year-old told the audience as she accepted the MTV Generation Award at the Los Angeles-taped show. “But it is possible to make it in Hollywood without doing a reality show. When I came up in this business, if you made a sex tape, you were embarrassed and you hid it under your bed.”

“And if you took naked pictures of yourself on your cell phone, you hide your face, people!” Witherspoon continued. “Hide your face!”

I’ve said it before on here and I’ll say it again: I’m always surprised that girls allow a guy to film and or take photos of them. I’m not going to get into the good girl, bad girl argument because that’s a double standard to the men who do the same.

Having said that, and the fact a double standard does still exist (which is a crock of sh*t if you ask me), why put yourself in that position unless of course you have no issues with it going public. And if you don’t power to you.

Last night the 2011 MTV Movie Awards aired and it was such a yawn-fest with the exception of Robert Pattinson dropping the F-bomb on TV and the censors not being on their mark to bleep him out.  The Breaking Dawn Part 1 Official movie trailer also aired and it looks amazing. When you think of how far that movie has come from the first one to this one it really has improved considerably (well, what we can tell of it anyways).

Another good part of last night’s MTV Movie Awards show was when Robert Pattinson went into the audience (from the stage) to kiss Twilight costar Taylor Lautner. But that was it.

SNL’s Jason Sudekis hosted the event and in my personal opinion he wasn’t very good. Not that I would be better. I imagine it’s a difficult job but this guy can do live television for SNL. It seriously was one of the most boring award shows I’ve ever seen. I can’t believe I cleared my night for that. Although RPattz’s f-bomb was totally worth it. Only he could make that sound almost elegant.
