Last night’s Gotham Independent Film Awards were held at Cipriani’s in New York (of course) where Natalie Portman and Stanley Tucci were honoured for their career in film.

My nemesis, Rene Zellweger was at The 16th Annual Women in Hollywood Tribute in Los Angeles (sponsored by Elle).  Recently Rene told US Magazine that a third instalment of Bridget Jones’ diary isn’t a go:

“I get asked (about) that every single day and I don’t know anything.”

Oh Paleeze.  I can imagine people asking her about Bradley Cooper every single day, but Bridget Jones’ Diary?? I doubt it.  Not that it’s not a great set of movies but let’s face facts: It’s Bradley Cooper we want to know about. B-R-A-D-L-E-Y C-O-O-P-E-R.

The gala featured a who’s who of lovely ladies  including Katie Holmes who would normally have her wardrobe approved by Fashionista Tombo but instead her little sweet pea Suri, helped pick her outfit.

Someone very dear to me loves Pierce Brosnan and I know she is not alone!  Pierce has a very strong following of women (and men) with impeccable taste.

He, along with Cheryl Hines and Alec Baldwin are at the 17th International Hamptons Film Festival.  I didn’t even know they had one.  I really need to read up on my celebrity gossip a little bit more.

They happen to be at the afterparty for ‘Serious Moonlight’.  Cheryl Hines directed this movie and it sounds fabulous:

A high-powered attorney duct tapes her adulterous husband to the toilet … right before their home is invaded by burglars

I may contact my lawyer because the duct tape to the toilet idea sounds a little bit too familiar to me.  The movie has an incredible cast:  Kristen Bell, Justin Long, Meg Ryan, Timothy Hutton and more.  The release date is set for December 4.

Sorry about the lack of posting and late posting today, it’s a bit of a crazy day for me.  If you didn’t catch The Emmy’s last night, here are some shots backstage in the press area where some of the winners posed with their statute:  My cheating bastard of a future husband Jeff Probst, Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin, Jessica Lange, Glenn Close, Kristin Chenoweth (how tiny is she, huh? She’s very cute), Michael Emerson, Toni Collette and others.

Also backstage were Michael J. Fox (LOVE him), Kaley Cuoco, Thomas Jane and Patricia Arquette.  Are they ‘together’??  I never get those effing emails.

And at the HBO and ET afterparties were people like Maria Bello, the McCord sisters (Rachel, Angel and AnnaLynne) and others.

I simply LOVE the colour Dita Von Teese is wearing.  It works beautifully with her skin tone.  Also attending were Alec Baldwin, Kelly Brook, Danny Cipriani, Eva Mendes and Juliette Lewis.

Gee, I would have thought the day Alec Baldwin’s daughter was born would be the best day of his life.  He says of the kiss:

“It was the greatest day of my life,” (he actually is joking)  “Whenever you do that with someone, it’s so fake,” “They’re getting paid to kiss you. I’m getting paid to kiss her. But she’s a doll.” 

He and the cast were very happy to have her guest star on 30 Rock:

“Jennifer Aniston could be making films, she could be shopping, she could be buying a private island somewhere, she could be doing virtually anything she wants to be doing.  “But for her to come and do that with us, we are all very grateful.”

There is one thing that stood out on her more than anything else:

“Her wrist watch. I don’t want to say who the maker of the wrist watch is,” he said, “but she had a wrist watch on that was this very beautiful, very rare, very fabulous wrist watch, and you just knew that Jennifer Aniston would have on a wrist watch that you had never seen before — the most fabulous wrist watch.”

Dude, that’s deep.

 After that infamous voicemail heard around the world on TMZ.com, in which he called his daughter, Ireland, a little pig, Alec Baldwin seriously considered ending his life and details those thoughts in his memoir entitled A Promise To Ourselves.

What stopped him was: “I love my daughter with all my heart,” In his book he explains:

that he had been trying to reach his daughter, but “she was off for spring break with her mother and her phone was turned off for 10 consecutive days … This had gone on for years now and … when the beep came, I snapped.”

At the time of the incident he apologized for the remarks and blamed Basinger for leaking the tape, which she denied.
