The Linda Lovelace biopic, appropriately titled, Lovelace, is still without a release date. Millennium Entertainment is taking it to the Cannes film market in a few weeks in an effort to change that. For that purpose, they’ve released this brand new one-sheet featuring the unrecognizable Amanda Seyfried as the title character.

The film focuses on Lovelace, one of the first porn “superstars”, and her dysfunctional relationship with her husband/manager Chuck Traynor (Peter Sarsgaard), who coerced her into the porn industry where she was used and abused before finally taking control of her life and becoming an anti-porn activist.

Academy Award winning documentarians Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman (The Life and Times of Harvey Milk, Common Threads: Stories from the Quilt) direct Lovelace from a script by Merrit Johnson (Temple Grandin, In Treatment) and Andy Bellin (Trust), which was in turn based on Eric Danville's biography, "The Complete Linda Lovelace".   It’s got an insane cast including Sharon Stone, Hank Azaria, Eric Roberts, Wes Bentley, Juno Temple, Chris Noth, Chloe Sevigny, Debi Mazar and  Bobby Cannavale (recently signed for Season 3 of Boardwalk Empire!) with James Franco as Hugh Hefner and Adam Brody as porn legend Harry Reems. Demi Moore was to have played Gloria Steinem but she’s been replaced by Sarah Jessica Parker.

We have video from the set of Tom Hooper’s film version of the musical Les Miserables. We see Eddie Redmaye, Aaron Tveit, Anne Hathaway as well as Russell Crowe and Hugh Jackman hard at work on location in London (which is doubling for 18^th century Paris).

In the first video we see Jackman as Jean Valjean and Hathaway as Fantine (who *spoiler alert* looks pretty ghostly *wink wink nudge nudge*) as they sing to playback while a huge set piece is being filmed. “Do You Hear the People Sing” is one of the central songs of the show as it closes the first act and at the denouement of the second.  While Hooper had said he wanted his performers to sing “live” as opposed to lip-sync to playback, this scene is probably too big for that. In the second video we do see Jackman singing live, even if we can’t hear him.  The third video is short and sweet, just Russell Crowe as Inspector Javert on horseback. Finally we see Eddie Redmayne as Marius and Aaron Tveit as Enjolras.  All of the videos match the pics we’ve gotten from the production, including the new ones seen below. We also have a first look at Amanda Seyfried as Cosette.

Les Miserables is set for an awards season release, December 14 in the US and 13^th January in the UK. More will surely follow!

Wasn't it just recently that the world came to know that Amanda Seyfried and Josh Hartnett were even a couple? Things must be moving along very nicely (albeit quickly). Maybe these two are even living together because they are pictured here buying some art together at the Melrose Art Gallery in Los Angeles.

Could it just be a gift for someone or could it be to furnish their own home? Either way, Josh isn't too pleased to see the pappers but we're kind of happy to see these two together.

We’ve got a big bunch o’ pics and some clips for Gone, a thriller written by Allison Burnette (Underworld Awakening) and toplined by Amanda Seyfried.  The wide-eyed Seyfried stars as Jill, a young woman who comes home from a night shift to discover her sister Molly (Emily Wickersham) has been abducted.  It was only the year before that Jill had escaped from a kidnapper. She is convinced that the same serial killer has come back for her sister. Afraid that Molly will be dead by sundown, Jill embarks on a heart-pounding chase to find the killer, expose his secrets and save her sister.

The whole thing just seems like a straight to video B-Movie. Not that there’s necessarily anything wrong with that… popcorn thrillers have their place in the annals of Friday date night couch fest history. I’m just still seeing parallels with Silence of the Lambs, not to mention any number of slasher/teen horror flicks. I’m also not convinced Seyfried can successfully carry a film. The presence of Julianne Moore and Liam Neeson couldn’t save Chloe, and neither could Gary Oldman or Julie Christie save Red Riding Hood.

The supporting cast does have some talented actors in it, including Wes Bentley (who needs to work more), Jennifer Carpenter, Sebastian Stan, Daniel Sunjata (Rescue Me), and Joel David Moore (Avatar). Gone is the English language debut of Brazilian director Heitor Dhalia (2009’s Adrift) and arrives in theaters  February 24 in the US and 2^nd March the UK.

It seems to have quite a few things in common with Silence of the Lambs, not to mention any number of slasher/teen horror flicks. For that matter, I’m still undecided what to make of Seyfried. How long is she planning to get by on ‘wide-eyed innocence’?

I have got treats, lots and lots of treats, that I’ve been hoarding storing up for a rainy day…actually just haven’t been able to get to) Well, today’s the day. In this post I have new pics for Men in Black III, Prometheus, Lovelace, Snow White and the Huntsman and The Hunger Games

Men in Black III: “Agents J (Will Smith) and K (Tommy Lee Jones) are back… in time. J has seen some inexplicable things in his 15 years with the Men in Black, but nothing, not even aliens, perplexes him as much as his wry, reticent partner. But when K’s life and the fate of the planet are put at stake, Agent J will have to travel back in time to put things right. J discovers that there are secrets to the universe that K never told him — secrets that will reveal themselves as he teams up with the young Agent K (Josh Brolin) to save his partner, the agency, and the future of humankind.”

We also offer a first look at villain, Boris, played by Flight of the Conchords' Jemaine Clement. The movie opens almost everywhere in the known universe on May 25.

Here’s are two new images from Sir Ridley Scott’s Prometheus, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, which leads them on a journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race. The pics show Noomi Rapace (who has described her character, Elizabeth Shaw, as the “Ripley” of the piece) in more detail as well as the “space jockeys” in the background.

Prometheus takes over theaters on 1^st June in the UK and June 8 in the US and Canada.

We have a first look at Amanda Seyfried as Linda Lovelace in the biopic, Lovelace, about the porn star and her relationship with her abusive husband, Chuck Traynor (Peter Sarsgaard). James Franco plays Hugh Hefner. Lovelace has no set release date yet. More info to follow.

Charlize Theron looks appropriately regal and menacing in this new still from Rupert Sanders’ Snow White and the Huntsman. The darker version of the two Snow White tales, starring Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth, opens June 1 almost everywhere.

Last, but not least, for this round are two new pics from The Hunger Games. We get new looks at Effie Trinket (Elizabeth Banks) Haymitch Abernathy (Woody Harrelson), Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) and Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence). Set in a future where the Capitol selects a boy and girl from the twelve districts to fight to the death on live television, Katniss Everdeen volunteers to take her younger sister's place for the latest match. The Hunger Games begin on March 23 in the US, Canada and the UK.
