Ten years and a couple of  vials of blood later, Angelina Jolie has nothing but good things to say about ex-husband Billy Bob Thornton in the forward of his book The Billy Bob Tapes: A Cave Full of Ghosts:

[He] "has a big beautiful heart."He has an unmatchable wit and can make you laugh until your face hurts. "To be with him is like being with a mad mathematician," she adds. "He is constantly counting and repeating."

That's because he's got OCD, girl. Not judging (we all have a bit of it I think) just pointing out the obvious. She goes on to say:

"Some people walk through life able to quiet the voices in their heads. He can't. And I, and everyone else who knows him well, we love him for it," she says, ending with, "I know one thing: The world would certainly be a hell of a lot more dull if that man weren't in it."

You just know the rumors are going to go into overdrive on a slow news day that she's running back into his arms and leaving Brad Pitt in the dust. Despite their split not being the most pleasant at the time, it's nice that they've come back to being friends. She has gone on to have and adopt six kids with her partner Pitt. The two have recently become engaged after seven years together.  She was married to BB for 3 years from May 5, 2000 to May 27, 2003.

Do you remember Jolie and Thornton together? There was never a hornier couple in Hollywood. These two couldn't get enough of each other. They actually had sex in the back of their limo on the way to an awards show. It's one thing to bone in the limo, it's another thing to announce it on the red carpet. He realizes that he messed things up with her:

"I blew it because I didn't think I was good enough for her," he said. "She has one way she wanted to live her life and I had another way to live mine, and I was just too insecure."

The future tabloid headlines are writing themselves.

John Cusack, star of The Raven, which opens this Friday here in the US, got a star on the fabled Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday. (The fact that his new movie is out on Friday is no mere coincidence. These things are bought and paid for by studios, publicists, whoever. That doesn’t negate the fact that it’s a slice of immortality. Not everyone gets one.)

On hand to fete the well-deserving Cusack was his current costar Luke Evans as well as members of his family including actor brother Bill and actress sisters Ann and Joan.  I wish I could have heard what Joan had to say. I’m sure it was hilarious. John and Joan have appeared together in nine films.

Other speakers included Billy Bob Thornton, with whom John made 1999’s Pushing Tin, Jack Black who appeared in 2000’s High Fidelity, Dan Ackroyd from Grosse Pointe Blank as well as his two friends from high school with whom Cusack wrote that movie, D.V. Vincentis and Steve Pink.

Where the hell was his best friend Jeremy Piven (whom he’s known also since childhood and made 10 movies with)? Where was good friend Tim Robbins, with whom he’s made 6? I don’t get it. Oh well.

On his role in The Raven, Cusack recently participated in a round table discussion about Edgar Allan Poe, calling him probably the most damaged character he’s ever played and “the godfather of Goth”. “It’s Poe getting wrapped up in one of his own stories. He's trapped in one of his own creations. It's the meta-Poe version of his own life, where he's always trying to figure out the difference between waking and dreaming, living and dying, sanity and insanity.”  I’m in!  Again, The Raven opens this Friday April 27.

Amanda Brumfield 32, (Billy Bob Thornton’s estranged daughter) was denied a new trial in the aggravated manslaughter of a child in May by Judge Reginald Whitehead on August 29:

“Defendant’s motion for a new trial is denied.”

She faces sentencing on October 6, however her lawyers plan on filing an appeal immediately. She was found guilty in the death of her best friend’s 1 year old daughter Olivia Madison Garcia in 2008. She was found not guilty of first degree murder and aggravated child abuse. She was babysitting the child in October, 2008 when she told officers the child fell from the playpen.

The fall was 28 inches total and the autopsy concluded the damage Olivia sustained would not have occurred from a 28 inch fault and that Olivia:

suffered a fractured skull and a subdural hematoma due to blunt trauma.

And if the story of this 1 year old’s death isn’t sad enough, Amanda’s trail was held in the same courthouse that Casey Anthony’s trial was held. So very sad.

If you’re a fan of the Shrek movies, then you have to love one of the beloved characters, Puss in Boots.  Well, he’s so fabulous that he’s got his own movie coming out from Dreamworks.

The stars have aligned for this one and it’s going to be a smash hit:

He acted like a surly diva in this radio interview, and the Toronto fans at the Massey Hall concert, where the Boxmasters were opening up for Willie Nelson reacted in kind.  He claimed his “mashed potatoes with no gravy” comment was not anti-Canadian, but the audience wasn’t buying it.  Onstage Billy Bob said to the booing audience:

“Boo all you want, but I want to say something – we’re really happy to be here.”

Wow, aren’t we all honoured that Billy Bob is happy to be here?  But Billy Bob can’t take the heat.  He and the Boxmasters have cancelled the North American leg of their concert.  According to Willie Nelson’s website:

“At this time, no reasons have been announced but the remainder of the tour will continue as scheduled without The Boxmasters.”

I’m not an actor or a musician but I’m thinking when you insult the fans that pay to see you and act like a bitch, they might not like it.  Call me crazy.

Billy Bob Thornton and his band of two years The Boxmasters were on a radio station Qtv in Canada and because the person interviewing him/them mentioned he was an actor, Billy Bob was a jerk.  Apparently that was something he wasn’t allowed to bring up.  It’s not like the guy dwelled on the fact Billy Bob is an actor, but come on, we all know he is and we’re all thinking the same thing, and besides I doubt a whole lot of people have heard of the Boxmasters, so really was it that big a deal to mention it?

I feel sorry for the band members of the Boxmasters.  Billy Bob needs to take his ego down a notch or two.  It’s a long video and my heart goes out to the guy interviewing him.  And I’m not even going to get into how he pretty much insulted Canadians.  Douche.

Nine years ago, Billy Bob Thornton and Angelina Jolie met on the set of Pushing Tin (hmmmm this sounds familiar) and ended up getting married.

And even though they split in 2003 they remain friends:

‘I’d like to do another movie with Angie too, one of these days,’ Billy tells TheBoot.com.

‘We talk all the time. She and I keep looking for something to do together; we just have to find the right thing.’

Those two had quite the animalistic dynamic between them, didn’t they?  I suspect she has that with Brad Pitt, but I think Brad isn’t into talking about having sex in the limo like Billy Bob was. 

Do you think Brad would be nervous about them working together again?  Would you want to see these two reunited on film?

Megan Fox, Shia LaBeouf, Billy Bob Thornton, Rosario Dawson, Maria Bello and Mike Chiklis (purrrr) were among the celebs at the premiere of Eagle Eye.

I’m not sure why Megan Fox is there, besides getting all the publicity she possibly can, because according to IMDB she’s not in the movie.  But it’s proved to be a great tactic because, look, I put her picture as the main picture.  I’m on to her manipulative ways.  Must be the publicity machine at work what with that “lesbian” story in GQ just being released and all.  Nothing wrong with being a lesbian, but word on the street is it is ca-ca and for publicity purposes only.

That cute little boy with the adorable smile is Cameron Boyce, and the not-so-cute grown man giving the one-fingered salute, and barely smiling for the cameras is Billy Bob Thornton.
