Gerard Butler Sang For His Birthday Supper

I should be ashamed of myself for not remembering it was Gerard Butler’s 41st birthday on Saturday (November 13). Shame on me! Gerard took over new restaurant The Darby (which opens to the public on Wednesday) on Saturday night with a bunch of friends and actually sang Mustang Sally onstage with John Mayer.

Gerard Butler Is Luscious In London

The celebrations included a dinner and performances for over 100 guests that included Kate Hudson, Jason Statham, Bono and Jay-Z. Not to sound like a freaking ingrate, but who the hell does a girl have to sleep with to get Jason Statham and/or Bono at her birthday party?

Page Six is reporting that:

Australian comedian James Smith toasted Gerry. He then went on to make fun of him saying: ‘Gerard has been out so much he’s now just constantly on Page Six. Gerry is on Page Six so much they have to make it Page Seven.’ Smith also joked that Butler and Jennifer Aniston had “as much sexual chemistry as Regis and Kelly” in “The Bounty Hunter.”

Ouch. I would have loved to see Gerard’s reaction to that jab. Apparently Gerard also sang Oasis’ Wonderwall and word is he has an ‘epic’ voice! Why does that not surprise me? I’ve long imagined hearing his voice whisper in my ear and it was very musical. And by musical I mean dirty. Very dirty.

Happy belated birthday Gerard.

U2's Bono & The Edge Visit Turkey

U2′s Bono, his wife Ali Hewson take in the sights at Reina in Istanbul, Turkey.  And by sights I mean neat looking drinks and sexy belly dancers with lovely breasts. I freaking LOVE the look on Bono’s face.  Like he’s never been in THAT situation before? Right.

The Edge and some other friends also join them in the festivities.

Brad Pitt Honoured

full_clinton_global_initiative_20_wenn2587594

The stars came out big  for Day 3 (yesterday) of Clinton’s Global Initiative where Ben Stiller was Master of Ceremonies and Quincy Jones (among others) was honoured.  Lisa Ling, Usher and Demi Moore presented recipients with awards and Alicia Keys entertained.

Brad Pitt was also honoured by the U.S. Green Building Council because he had created the “largest and greenest single-family community in the world” with his Make It Right foundation.  Brad Pitt said:

“Make It Right has exceeded my expectations. Our criteria from the beginning were at odds, to say the least. We demanded that these homes be sustainable, that they have aesthetic qualities … that they be storm resilient and take safety in mind of the families who live there and that they would be affordable.

“If we had not been so blissfully naive to the potential, we would not be experiencing what we are seeing today and that is the unquantifiable joy of families returning home to the 9th Ward and returning home to something that was better than before. What the team has done here is not so exceptional. All we did was put the right people together and answer the problems as they came along and that is why we’re here today.”

Also on hand yesterday were Barbra Streisand, Jessica Alba, Bono, Ricky Martin, Mira Sorvino, and Julia Ormond.
