Security for Dancing With The Stars has been ‘measurably heightened‘ amidst death threats to both Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas because Bristol is in the final 3 of the season.

They were receiving death threats last week after making it to the final 3 and executives at the studio told Mark to stop tweeting, and he did.

If these two win, rather than head to Times Square for an interview (as is standard practice for the winner) they will be doing their interview from a studio.  According to TMZ:

“Everyone is genuinely worried.  This is a dance competition, and it’s just gotten crazy.”

I don’t think many people are happy that Bristol is in the final 3, and everyone is certainly entitled to their opinion, but to make death threats, I mean come on how do people take this show THAT seriously? It’s a dance show for heaven’s sake.

Bristol received a ‘fan’ letter  that contained white powder last week.  Although it was only talcum powder, the FBI are now involved. There are a lot of nut jobs in this world, aren’t there?

The ratings for this show are going to go through the roof in the next two days. Will you be watching? Who do you hope will win?

EW.com held a podcast last night for TV Insiders where they talked about, among other things, Dancing With The Stars and of course Bristol-gate.  Maksim Chmerkovskiy calls in where he talks about his first impression of Kyle Massey and how he was so impressed with his cha-cha he immediately thought Kyle would be in the final 3 for sure.

He says he wasn’t angry on the inside when Brandywas voted out, but was ‘laughing’ on the inside. He doesn’t pull any punches and won’t be ‘politically correct’ saying that Bristol’s dancing is fine.  He calls it ‘bullsh*t’.  He talks about a ‘clan of Palinism’ voting Bristol in not because of her dancing skills. But that’s the problem you have when you have a show that allows the viewers vote to have a lot of weight. It’s not always a logical choice.

He thinks Bristol is trying and has shown nothing but support for her saying that she had every right to be on the show, but what pissed him off was her coming out in the media on Monday and saying he didn’t like her. That is the first time he was upset about the situation.

And he says ‘now that it’s all over screw Carrie Ann’. This season might be all over, but there is always next season But you know what he says isn’t unreasonable and he’s telling it like it is but Maks tends to rub people the wrong way and someone else saying the exact same thing will be received differently than him.

All of Sarah Palin’s “haters” have been taking their hate out on Bristol Palin each week that she survives on Dancing With The Stars.  I don’t want to get into the politics of it or even take sides.  All I really want to do is point out the biggest douche bag on the planet… as of today that is.  Who knows what whack job will surface tomorrow.

Anyhow, the DB is a 67-year-old named Steven Cowan and he’s a resident of Wisconsin. Yesterday he was so disturbed by Bristol’s dance on Monday night that he pulled out his shotgun and blew up his TV.  Yeah, he’s not crazy.  Then, as if that wasn’t enough, he then pointed the gun at his wife.  Huh?!  Wha?!  Thank God she was quick and bolted from the house before he blew her away too.

The SWAT team had to surround the house, then the cops talked Cowan out, before he shot anything else.  He told the cops that,

“he felt Palin was not a good dancer and that she was only on the show because of her famous mother.”

The cops say that they think he has bipolar disorder.  Um, he’s got something alright!  As morbid as it sounds, I am glad he blew up when he did, over Monday’s show.  Imagine what would have happened if he watched Bristol advance to the finals last night! He probably would have gone on a killing spree… or committed suicide.  Seriously!  The guy is all wrong.

Steven Cowan was charged with 2nd degree reckless endangerment.  Who knows if he will be convicted though, with the whole bipolar angle.  If he does, it could be 10 years in the slammer.  I highly recommend 10 years in a padded room.

Damn. Kelly Osbourne looks incredibly sexy on the cover of Shape Magazine showing off her 50 pound weight loss! The magazine marked the  first time she has ever donned a bikini and it caused tears of joy! Girl should be VERY proud to have accomplished this. After changing her lifestyle, this 5’2″ dynamo now weighs a svelte 112 lbs:

I used to eat chips and cookies and drink soda all day long,’ she admitted. ‘I had to start making better choices.’

‘I indulge with pizza and cheese – I love Brie – and have cookies sometimes. But now, when I’m full I stop eating! It may have taken me 26 years to figure it out, but I’ve finally learned how to do it right.’

She credits Dancing With The Stars‘ professional (and partner) Louis Van Amstel with kick-starting the transformation:

He made me eat turkey burgers and salads,’ ‘Then I started losing weight and realised, “Oh, it’s true what they say: Diet and exercise really work!

The media scrutiny almost destroyed her:

I understand that being judged by others comes with the territory, but it broke my heart and ruined my self esteem,’ she says.

‘It sets you up to hate yourself in a huge way. I was so angry about the things people said about me. I truly believe it’s the main reason I turned to Vicodin and ended up in rehab three times. I just hated myself.’

Those good habits just keep on keeping on:

My girlfriends and I just started doing plyometrics,’ she says, referring to a type of training which enables muscles to reach maximum force in the shortest possible time.

‘It’s a killer – it hurts so much. But when you walk out of there, you’re like, “I can’t believe I just did that and my body looks this good.”

Page Six has a story that their is a possible romance between Dancing With The Stars’ Mark Ballas and Bristol Palin, which I don’t think anyone is really surprised about, are we now?

A source from the show told Page Six:

“They looked very close, flirty and cuddly when the cameras weren’t on them.”

They look very close when cameras are on them! I don’t know that this comes as a surprise to anyone. Mark is a very demonstrative person which makes Bristol one very lucky biotch.

She was recently on Ellen DeGeneres and says of the rumours:

It’s really hard for me to want to date after the situation I had myself in. I’m not worried about a boyfriend right now.“

It might be hard, and she might not be worried but that doesn’t mean they aren’t dating, right? Unless she specifically came right out and said ‘Mark and I aren’t dating’ one could interpret that sentence as not being a denial necessarily.
