Steven Soderbergh’s Contagion got the full red carpet glamour treatment on Saturday night in Venice. On hand were the director and some of his all-star cast, including Gwyneth Paltrow (loved the dress from the waist up. Waist down it was just odd), Laurence Fishburne, Jennifer Ehle and Matt Damon, whose shaved pate matched his director’s. Matt’s is for an upcoming film. He’s currently filming Elysium for Neil Blomkamp up in British Columbia. Not sure exactly what the plot is or why he needs a bald head, (something sci-fi), but it’s got an amazing cast. I’m disappointed that Kate Winslet wasn’t there. She premiered Carnage and Mildred Pierce (which is being released theatrically in some parts of Europe) and then apparently left. Maybe she wanted to get back to New York for her kids to start school. Maybe Louis was bored. Who knows. I just wanted to see another dazzling red carpet ensemble. (Everyone is still talking about that Stella McCartney optical illusion thing. Stunning!)

Bringing the glam was Mrs. Matt Damon, Luciana Barroso Damon. She looked gorgeous, although she probably looks gorgeous when she gets up in the morning. Matt shared his wife’s nickname for him, which is “Red Alert”. Apparently he’s the kind of over-protective parent that checks to see if his daughters are still breathing at night, but he insists he’s not a “helicopter parent.” That’s so cute.

Iconic director, vocalist and writer, Rob Zombie was on hand at the opening of Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights, in Los Angeles where for a price you can have the living bejesus scared out of you.  You can even get the RIP treatment (the most expensive package) where I’m sure the price includes an adult diaper to go along with your scare.

Universal Studios is transformed for this event to include A Nightmare On Elm Street maze, a Friday The 13th maze and Rob Zombie’s House of 1000 Corpses 3D maze.  Now that would be freaking scarey.

I wonder if Rob Zombie designed that because I know he has in the past.  You should check out the site and in particular in the overview where you see past Horror Night experiences and people screaming their freaking heads off, lol.

Also attending the event  Bridget Marquardt,  Christopher Lloyd, Corey Feldman, Eli Roth, and Peaches Geldof.  Yes. They are still together.

Brenda Song and Miley Cyrus’ older brother Trace made their red carpet debut as a couple at the Nylon Magazine Young Hollywood party in Los Angeles last night.  Trace is giving Michelle ‘Bombshell’ McGee a run for her money in the tattoo department. Getting tats on your face is always a stellar decision and one that a person will never regret, right?

Like when they are in their 80′s, God-willing.  I would hope to be out of my mind at that point rather than have to face myself in the mirror with tattoos looking back at me. And we won’t even talk about when the neck starts looking like chicken skin and what those tattoos will look like then.

True Blood’s Alexander Skarsgard attended Day 2 of Coachella with girlfriend Kate Bosworth and some friends.  I had no idea they were dating.  I’m a bad blogger.

Dita Von Teese wore pants that I am finding it very difficult to forgive her for.  I love me some Dita Von Teese and I usually always love what she wears.  I just need some time to get over this.

My man Jason Statham is back with Isabel Lucas.  Are these two an item? I must check my inbox because clearly there are a lot of memos I am not receiving.

Kellan Lutz looked to be having a good time at Coachella.

Jesse Metcalfe looked very cut in his tank top but as per usual I don’t think he smiled.

I do not approve.  Not at all.  I know it’s none of my business.  I know Eli Roth and Peaches Geldof could give a flying crap whether I approve or not.  I know all this. But they continue to go out in public together burning these horrid images in my brain so I figure I get to bitch about it.  I may need some therapy to deal with this.

I know you don’t approve either.  Maybe we can start a Facebook page movement or something.  It worked for Betty White getting on SNL.

This is disturbing on many levels and Peaches Geldof being only 21 and Eli Roth being 38 isn’t even one of them, although I think they are at very different points in their respective lives.  However people have differing maturity levels so age alone isn’t always a factor.

But I. just. don’t. get. it.  She is a known spoiled brat and although you can not believe everything you hear and read, you have to also admit where there’s smoke there’s fire.

There have been rumours for a while about their romance and they confirmed it by appearing hand in hand at the Oscars (I did not see those pictures) and at last night’s Human Right’s Campaign Los Angeles gala.
