Elizabeth Hurley 45, accepted Austrialian cricket player Shane Warne's 42, marriage proposal yesterday in front of a crowded restaurant. After a romantic meal last night at the Old Course Hotel in St Andrews Shane made the announcement in front of a VIP crowd that broke out into applause. He didn`t get down on one knee (I`m sure dude spends enough time on his knees) but it was a joyous ocassion nonetheless:

‘Shane proposed over dinner and it was fairly public, not a private affair.  'It was a VIP crowd in there this evening. It was residents only, including Dunhill past players. ‘He didn’t get down on one knee, but when it was announced the other guests in the restaurant stood up and applauded.

‘Everyone there was absolutely delighted.’

I'm pretty sure her ex-husband Arun Nayar isn't delighted. Elizabeth allegedly left him to be with Shane. Elizabeth and Shane have been together 10 months with Elizabeth's divorce to Nayar being finalized in June.

Today Elizabeth is rocking a huge square sapphire with two diamonds on either side. Congrats to the happy couple.

Elizabeth Hurley has officially filed for divorce from her husband of four years, Arun Nayar.  I am pretty used to only seeing the reason for divorce cited as, “irreconcilable differences.”  But this time it’s different.   Liz cited,”unreasonable behavior” as the reason for the divorce proceedings.  I wonder what behavior that was?

This divorce comes just four months after she announced their separation on Twitter.  She has since moved on with a new guy, Shane Warne.  Actually, everyone thought she had an affair with him, but they didn’t hook up till after the separation had already occurred.

So there.  Another divorce on the books.  Woo hoo.

Elizabeth Hurley has confirmed she and her husband Arun Nayar hours after rumours hit the tabloids that she was allegedly having an affair with cricket ace Shane Warne. According to WENN:

Britain’s News of the World reported on Sunday (12Dec10) that the Austin Powers star spent time with the sportsman at a London hotel earlier this week (begs06Dec10). The newspaper’s editors claim Hurley, who wed Indian tycoon Nayar in 2007, stayed with Warne at the Bentley Hotel in London’s posh South Kensington after he jetted in from his native Australia for his work. The article was accompanied by CCTV images showing Hurley and Warne kissing in a doorway.

Following the revelations, Hurley took to her Twitter.com blog to reveal she split from Nayar earlier this year (10). She writes:

“Not a great day. For the record, my husband Arun & I separated a few months ago. Our close family & friends were aware of this.”

She married Arun in 2007 and has an eight year old son Damian from a previous relationship. Shane Warne is apparently a womanizer splitting from his wife in 2007 after several affairs only to reunite in 2009. The marriage didn’t work out but they still live together in Melbourne. Uh-huh. THAT’S not odd.
