Earlier today we told you that Jennifer Lopez had a big announcement at 4 p.m. EST. The LiveStream broadcast announced that she Enrique Iglesias and Latin duo Wisin and Yandel are touring together with AEG Live promoting and State Farm Insurance sponsoring. This is a rumor that has been circulating for a while now but it's confirmation time kittens. Did you know that Enrique wrote her latest hit Dance Again? 

The tour encompasses approximately 16 dates at this time and you can expect that more will be added because demand is going to be huge for this. They are first going across North America and will add International dates later on in the year. They didn't have the tour schedule with them which was ridiculous given it was a broadcast about a freaking tour. She kept referring to it as a World Tour so it's a safe bet they will be hitting other countries. But given that American Idol is on hiatus in the summer, it will be interesting to see how she is able to fit the rest of the world in later in the year. How she keeps up to her demanding life is a mystery.

JLo and Enrique are also working on a little something something now that they are hoping will be complete by the time the show hits the road but they didn't elaborate. He's getting top billing in all of this but I can't help but think she's a bigger star than him. Weren't there rumors that he dropped out of touring with Britney Spears because he didn't get top billing?

They are going to have a number of choreographers for the show and Casper Smart (her boyfriend) is one of them. Tickets go on sale this Friday. Billboard has given these dates initially:

Is anyone really surprised? Rumour is that Enrique Iglesias backed out of the Britney Spears tour because his ego couldn’t handle being the opening act. And it isn’t just one ‘source’ telling TMZ this, it’s multiple sources.

You would think that they would have had the entire deal hashed out before a formal announcement was made, right? Well they did. And apparently it was very favourable to Enrique in the sense of ‘great terms and placement’.

But the fact that he would go on first (thereby being considered her opening act) was just too much for him. At least the crowd would have stuck around for him, right? If Britney opened first, I don’t think the same fans would necessarily hang around for him. What’s worse, being an opening act or playing to an empty venue?

Oh please say it’s true!  I love me some Enrique Iglesias.  He’s the perfect guy for the job and just about the same size as Ryan Seacrest... so yes, he’s perfect for the hosting gig!

Jessica Simpson Heading to X Factor With Simon Cowell

Simon Cowell has reportedly offered Enrique the host’s position on the upcoming USA version of X Factor.  We are still waiting on the announcement of who will be on the judge’s panel.  But knowing the he’s going to host would suit me just fine.

Enrique Iglesias performed at the Miami Dolphins’ home opener yesterday at the Sun Life Stadium against the New York Jets while his longtime girlfriend Anna Kournikova attended showing her man support.  Anna looks smoking hot, doesn’t she? I bet the players and fans were frothing at the mouth watching her prance around the field during half-time.

Part owners Marc Anthony, Gloria and Emilio Estefan also were in on the festivities as was Fergie, Kim Kardashian and Tara Reid as well as other celebrities. I guess Jennifer Lopez didn’t attend due to her American Idol obligations? (sidenote:  actually I believe she was there, I just wasn’t lucky enough to get pictures of her boo).

Speaking of which, what do you think of Jennifer as an American Idol judge? I know it’s a bit off topic with the post, but this isn’t a sports blog, lol.

Despite the fact that Enrique Iglesias and Anna Kournikova have been together for 6 years, Enrique is realistic about a future with Anna and says:

 ”Life goes by so fast. My 20s were a blur. I want to enjoy the good moments. They could involve marriage and kids, but not yet. My grandfather had a baby when he was 92. Now there was a man who knew how to live!

“Anna’s clock may be ticking but I don’t think she’s ready for kids either. We talked about it all one day and she said that she wouldn’t marry me. And she meant it. She said I’m probably just a guy she wants to date for a few years, then she’ll leave me. I’m cool with that.”

“Obviously I’m with her because she’s my dream woman. But if she left me tomorrow, what am I going to do? She would have no trouble finding the guy she wants to marry.”

He goes on to say that if they did marry, there would not be an elaborate celebration:

“People break up all the time. The reality is people get married, think it’s going to be forever, then they get divorced.”
But if Kournikova one day accepts his marriage proposal, he claims he’d shun a big, white wedding in favour of a quickie ceremony in Las Vegas.

He adds, “Even if Anna and I were to have children, I wouldn’t think marriage was that important. And even if we did get married, I’d do it in a drive-through in Vegas. But Anna wouldn’t marry someone like me, even if I try.”

I find it curious when he says “But Anna wouldn’t marry someone like me, even if I try”.  I have to wonder what he means by “someone like me”.  Is he that bad??  It makes you wonder why they are together in the first place?  What do you think?
