When I heard the synopsis for ABC’s new show, “Nashville”, coming to the network this Fall, I thought it sounded like a cross between Robert Altman’s movie of the same name and the Gwyneth Paltrow opus, Country Strong.  Turns out I was right, in a good way.

Chart-topping Rayna James (Connie Britton) is a country legend who's had a career any singer would envy, though lately her popularity is starting to wane. Fans still line up to get her autograph, but she's not packing the arenas like she used to. Rayna's record label thinks a concert tour, opening for up-and-comer Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere), the young and sexy future of country music, is just what Rayna needs. But scheming Juliette can't wait to steal Rayna's spotlight. Sharing a stage with that disrespectful, untalented, little vixen is the last thing Rayna wants to do, which sets up a power struggle for popularity. Could the undiscovered songwriting talent of Scarlett O'Connor (Clare Bowen) be the key to helping Rayna resurrect her career?

Complicating matters, Rayna's wealthy but estranged father, Lamar Hampton (Powers Boothe), is a powerful force in business, Tennessee politics, and the lives of his two grown daughters. His drive for power results in a scheme to back Rayna's handsome husband, Teddy, in a run for Mayor of Nashville, against Rayna's wishes.

We love Connie Britton, from "Friday Night Lights" and "American Horror Story". Hayden Panettiere I’m not sold on, but she looks like a good fit in the trailer. The terrific cast includes Eric Close as Rayna’s husband Teddy, Powers Booth, and Charles Esten (who used to be known as “Chip” when he was a regular on “Whose Line is it Anyway”). The show is being given the 10pm Wednesday time slot vacated by "Revenge" (which is moving to 9pm Sunday after "Once Upon A Time").  Created by Callie Khouri (Thelma & Louise), Nashville looks like the kind of multigenerational saga that ABC does well. I’m definitely going to give this one a shot.

Holy hooters, Batman. Hayden Panettiere attended the cocktail party for last night's Entertainment Weekly & ABC TV New York Upfronts in which the network announces the Fall lineup looking very, um, different. She's died her hair to a platinum blonde and has pushed the girls up and out of her dress. I don't  recall her chesticles being that big, but maybe it's a good bra?

What do you think of the look? It makes her look much older and hookerish harder in my opinion. When I first looked at these pictures I thought there was a misprint on the name because she was almost unrecognizable. This look is perfect for Playboy's cookie cutter girls.

Hayden Panettiere was a presenter at last night's 2011 EMA's for best song but was interrupted by a naked guy (identified as David Monahan)who streaked up on stage and stopped to talk with Hayden.

After some small talk she invited him to join her and some friends for a pint after the show. Seeing as the dude didn't have a cell phone on him, they couldn't exchange digits.

While Hayden looks surprised, I'm pretty sure that was all arranged or his naked ass would have been carted off. That and the fact he's an actor.

I tried no less than 62 times to freeze the frame to get a better look at his junk but couldn't. I'm pretty sure mother nature was generous to him. I totally get why Hayden invited him out for a drink. Bonus points for what looks to be a little bit of manscaping.

Hayden Panettiere US Weekly Annual Hot Hollywood Style Issue Event

So we originally thought that Hayden Panettiere was dating New York Jets QB, Mark Sanchez.  They were out to lunch… so they had to be together, together, right?  Well, it seems that she’s chosen a different Jet.   It’s only been one month since she split with Ukrainian heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko, and now she’s dating New York Jets player Scotty McKnight.  So Mark didn’t do it for her?  Who knows?  But This Scotty boy seems to do the trick.

“I’m a huge Jets fan and became very good friends with Mark and his buddies,” the actress told Us in NYC June 2. “I’ve always been that girl who has a lot of dude friends. I’m into sports so we have a lot in common.”

Well, either way, Hayden is adorable next to any guy because they are always giants and she’s a munchkin.

It’s a sad day in the land of the giants and hollowed-out trees where Kiebler elves dwell. Heroes star Hayden Panettiere and her jolly green giant of a boyfriend boxer, Wladimir Klitschko have ended their relationship. Panettiere, 21 and Klitschko, 35 have been together since 2009. Prior to that she dated her Heroes co-star Milo Ventimiglia.

Both Panettiere and Klitschko released statements. Hers:

“While we decided to split, we feel great sympathy and respect for each other and will surely stay close friends.”

His:

“We had a great time together. But more and more we realised how difficult it is to maintain a relationship when living on two continents… I cherish Hayden as a person and woman. I’m sure we will stay friends.”

I’m sure you will too ya big lug. Doesn’t everyone? As odd as these two may have looked together in some respects, they seemed a cute couple in other ways. I’m kind of bummed over this. Perhaps I need to get a donut to help ease the pain?

Hayden Panettiere Unsure How To Play Convicted Murderer Amanda Knox

Taking his cue was a very large dog (Rottweiler?) that showed Hayden lots of love by jumping up and kissing her face. Hayden is both a major animal lover (and whale activist) and a vegetarian.

She currently has four projects in various stages of production: The Black Hole, Downers Grove, Scream 4 and Carmel.

Hayden Panettiere is set to play Amanda Knox, the girl who was convicted of murdering British exchange student Meredith Kercher in a TV movie to air next year. Knox was sentenced to 26 years in an Italian prison amidst a very controversial case that saw her boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito and friend Rudy Guede also imprisoned. She has always protested her innocence and appealed her conviction.  Hayden says of playing  the role:

“The thing is when you don’t know how to play it that’s the most complicated thing because I can’t go in there with the idea that I’m innocent or I’m guilty,” she told the BBC Breakfast show. “You can’t kinda lean either way. If you have to lean any way in the script it would be more the innocent side of playing it.

“So it’s going to be a challenge but I’m really excited about it. And we’ll be in Rome for about five weeks.”

Hayden says the facts don’t add up in the case:

“It is a very controversial topic and it is very two-sided,” she said. “I mean if you look at the facts and stuff there is a lot of things that don’t make sense.

“But it is her story up until she was convicted of 26 years and it’s very in between, it’s pretty fact-driven so it’s hopefully when people see it they won’t think it’s quite as controversial as it has been billed to be

She can be seen here at the UK premiere at Alpha and Omega where she fell crazy in love with a beautiful little dog. To watch the expression on her face when she first notices the dog and the pictures leading up to her holding the dog are priceless.

Hayden Panettiere hangs on to Gigantor boyfriend Wladimir Klitschko as they make their way through the crowds at Oktoberfest in Germany. He’s about 6’6″ and she’s like 4’11″ so you can imagine how awkward things can get for them in ‘certain’ situations. And by certain situations you know I’m talking sex, right? And if all things are ‘proportional’ aye carumba is all I can muster right now.

Wladimir could totally carry Hayden around in his pant pocket she’s so tiny. And carrying her around would be like you and I carrying around our set of keys. But it’s really nice that he holds the umbrella over himself only, huh? Nice.

Her rack looks really nice in that outfit, doesn’t it?
