Howard Stern has just signed to be a judge on America's Got Talent!  Howard will be replacing Piers Morgan on the show and on top of that they are moving the show to New York City to accommodate Howard!! THAT's how bad they wanted him.

Shooting begins in February and Howard will be travelling around the country for the auditions. Paul Teledgy of NBC says of the new addition:

“Howard Stern’s larger-than-life personality will bring a thrilling new dynamic to America’s Got Talent starting this summer,”

Howard Stern covers the April, 2011 issue of Rolling Stone magazine where he opened up in a 3 hour interview about his divorce from first wife Alison Burns, empty sex during his single life and his wife the beautiful animal-loving (I heart her madly for that) wife model, author and activist Beth Ostrosky.

On his sex life after his first marriage broke up:

“After my divorce, I realized, “Oh, wow, I can go have sex.” And I was running around, picking up women. Then all of a sudden, it dawned on me that I really didn’t need that much sex. I just wanted somebody with me every minute. I was using women as a surrogate mother. When I tapped into that, it suddenly became very childish behavior. And really, was it so great fucking every night? They’re using me for my fame, I’m using them for their beauty, and the whole fucking thing seemed empty.”

Is that refreshing or what? Given how Howard Stern used to be (or I guess still is to an extent) on the air, one would have thought he would love the dirty sex with many women that being single (and a celebrity) can bring. I’m really very surprised and very impressed that Howard Stern admitted to Rolling Stone how empty that life was! Are you surprised?

Howard isn’t taking anything for granted in life. He tells Rolling Stone that he isn’t taking his marriage to Beth for granted:

“In many ways, my marriage now is so easy, but I’m also aware that I could fuck things up very easily. I could start getting more into my work, and ignoring what’s important to Beth. I’m awfully narcissistic, and I have to keep that in check. I can’t be like King Tut sitting there and expect to be taken care of, because so many times we can turn our wives into mothers.”

Without sounding like a female chauvinist pig (which I admit that I can very much be) it is amazing to me that he is so in touch with this stuff and is constantly aware that he can just let his marriage coast, that it needs work regularly.

MLB big shot, Pete Rose has officially filed for divorce from his wife of 26 years, Carol Rose.  They have been legally wed since 1984 but he’s been with Kiana Kim openly since 2009.  He even went on Howard Stern with her to brag about their sex lives.  Yes, that Pete Rose is one classy guy.  I’ve always liked him about as much as I like splinters in my fingers.

Pete naturally cited irreconcilable differences in the divorce papers and is even willing to pay spousal support without a fight for it.

Bottom line here, Carol is much, much better off without this douche bag.  Being legally rid of him will be the best thing that’s happened to her in a very long time.

Congrats to Carol!  I think she should legally change her name as well….. just sayin’.

Yesterday, David Arquette was on Howard Stern’s show, again and this time he sounded like he needed to be medicated.  This split from Courteney Cox is really starting to take a toll on the guy.  He’s seeing a therapist weekly, but I don’t think it’s helping. Thanks to completely embarrassing himself at a Christmas party by calling Tom Cruise, Sean… he’s quitting drinking.  (Yeah right!)

All of that was kind of “normal” for someone in his shoes.  But what blew me away was the way he was talking about his ex, Drew Barrymore,

“I know she is with Justin Long and everything, but would cool would an Arquette-Barrymore child be?” he said. “From a pure breeding standpoint.”

Who says that stuff?!  He has to be insane.  I think that Drew better get some tighter security for awhile, at least until David gets his head on straight.  This guy is falling to pieces. Wow.

David Arquette isn’t exactly making himself look too smooth lately.  Sure, his split with Courteney Cox was supposedly mutual.  But, who’s the one out there blabbing intimate details to Howard Stern, of all people.  And who’s the one banging the Hollywood hooker aka Jasmine Waltz?  David even lied about how many times he slept with her.  That was a huge mistake.  Waltz likes to brag on her conquests.

Now we come to find out that David wasn’t just rolling in the sheets with Jasmine, he brought her into his business world as well.  David hired her to be the face of his new club at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel,

“David insisted that they hire her to be the face of the club. She was going to model for all the promotions and manage the cocktail servers.”

So then when the whole world found out about his split from Courteney and his side dish, Jasmine, he dumped “romantically” and then fired her from working the club.

Nice!  Just another classy dude in Hollywood.  Man, I think I am really losing faith in the idea of clean, honest men in the Hollywood circuit.  If I was married to one of them, I’d be looking over my shoulder (and theirs) constantly.

Matt Damon premiered Green Zone in New York last night with his lovely and very lucky wife Luciana Barroso who wore a gorgeous blue off the shoulder dress. Costars Amy Ryan, Nicoye Banks, Khalid Abdalla, and Jason Isaacs also attended as did Brendan Gleeson.

At the premiere Howard Stern talked to The Insider and gave his opinion on American Idol and how he feels about working with Ellen DeGeneres:

“I read in the paper that they want to give me $100 million to judge a karaoke contest, and that seems like pretty good pay for something as dumb as that,”

“Ellen has said she won’t work with me, but quite frankly, after watching her on the stupid show, I gotta tell ya, I won’t work with Ellen. She’s out if I come in.”

Ouch.

The NewYorkPost is reporting that American Idol executives are chomping at the bit to replace Simon Cowell with Howard Stern.  Howard’s contract with Sirius radio deal ends next January and a source connected to American Idol says:

“It’s one of the few shows that could compete with Stern’s $100 million-a-year Sirius contract, and ‘Idol’ bosses think he’d be even nastier than Simon

“They know he would be great TV and would clash with the other judges such as Ellen DeGeneres and the contestants. ‘Idol’ will do what it takes to sign him”

But another source says:

“Despite what he’s been saying on-air, Howard isn’t ready to leave radio and would like to stay on at Sirius,” the source said. “We believe this is a ploy to make Sirius pay up and keep him on his huge contract. But if Sirius can’t pay him the money he wants, he may negotiate to film ‘Idol’ on the side

However people in the know claim that Howard Stern does not want to have to tour the US and spend time in Los Angeles as the show requires.  He said on his show:

“I was approached by a major TV network to take over a TV show and leave here and do that next year — and I did turn it down . . . I’m not even sure if I want to be working. I’m waiting to see what happens”
