As if any of you Twi-hards needed your fires stoked any more for this movie, ahead of its takeover of every cinema on the planet this Friday, November 18^th, Summit Entertainment has released nine new hi-res glossy (if not sparkly) stills from The Twilight Saga: Break Dawn – part 1.

Directed by Bill Condon (Chicago),  this installment of the series finds the Quileute and the Volturi closing in on newlyweds and expecting parents Edward and Bella, whose unborn child poses different threats to the wolf pack and vampire coven.

In case you’ve been in a coma for the last three years, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – part 1 stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Nikki Reed, Ashley Greene, Taylor Lautner, Jackson Rathbone, Dakota Fanning, Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Billy Burke and Kellan Lutz.  The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – part 2, also based on the last of Stephanie Meyers’ phenomenally successful books, will open November 2012.

Jackson Rathbone attended yesterday’s Melanie Segal’s Teen Choice Retreat which was sponsored by T.J. Maxx and whose goal is to bring awareness to child poverty:

One in every five children in the United States lives in a family with an income below the federal poverty line.  In some places in the U.S. living conditions resemble parts of the developing world.*

At the event, celebrities signed and decorated reusable tote bags to auction off on eBay which will raise additional funds and awareness for the program.

As well, T.J.Maxx is making donations to Save the Children in honor of each celebrity that participated in signing a tote bag for charity.

This event honors 26 years of partnership between T.J. Maxx and Save the Children.  It is the kick-off to a comprehensive back-to-school season program where T.J.Maxx stores nationwide will sell specially designed reusable tote bags created with Save the Children artwork.  T.J.Maxx will donate all profits from these sales to Save the Children U.S. Programs.

Quinton Aaron had a blast picking up women.  And I mean that literally.  He’s such a sweet teddy bear.  Lots of others celebrities attended the event:

Jackson Rathbone poses with Nicola Peltz and Dev Patel at the photocall for their film The Last Airbender in Paris. Director M. Night Shyamalan was also in attendance because if the actors get to go to Paris you know the director is going too!

This movie is not getting good reviews at all by both critics and movie goers alike.  I’m hearing that although it says it’s 3D there are very few spots where 3D exists. I don’t know how true this is as I am going by what I have read from people I don’t know, but if that’s the case that sucks big time.  Why advertise it’s 3D if it isn’t an entire movie of 3D right?

Real life lovas Dev Patel and Freida Pinto strike a post on the red carpet of last night’s premiere of The Last Airbender which took place in New York. The show’s writer and director M. Night Shyamalan was also there along with Jackson Rathbone and Nicola Peltz.

The trailers look cool to me but the movie is not getting good reviews at all. However we can’t always go by that, can we? The plot of the movie as described by imdb:

The story follows the adventures of Aang, a young successor to a long line of Avatars, who must put his childhood ways aside and stop the Fire Nation from enslaving the Water, Earth and Air nations.

Matt Goldberg at Collider.com really hate this moving stating:

I hate everything about M. Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender.  I hate that it’s racist.  I hate that it takes a great, easy-to-adapt show and completely disrespects the material.  I hate the performances.  I hate the special effects.  I hate the borderline non-existent 3D that serves only to jack up ticket prices.  I hate the lack of imagination.  I hate the embarrassingly bad script that would be laughed out of a Screenwriting 101 class. I hate the consequences if this movie is a success at the box office.  I hate the consequences if it fails at the box office.  I hate that this movie exists.  And “hate” isn’t a strong enough word.

Wow. Do you think Matt hates the movie? Will you be going to see it?

Jackson Rathbone and Nicola Peltz attended an autograph signing session at Wawa’s Welcome America at Penns Landing in Philadelphia for their movie The Last Airbender.

M. Night Shyamalan’s movie opens next week and is described as:

The story follows the adventures of Aang, a young successor to a long line of Avatars, who must put his childhood ways aside and stop the Fire Nation from enslaving the Water, Earth and Air nations

Jackson Rathbone, Peter Facinelli, Billy Burke and Julia Jones all take time out to visit the hundreds of fans camping out  for tomorrow’s Los Angeles premiere of Twilight Saga:  Eclipse posing for pictures and signing autographs.

I love that picture of Peter Facinelli comforting a fan who holds up a poster that her cat died while she was in line. Poor girl   He’s so decent. Jenny Garth is so lucky (but so is he).

Jackson Rathbone twirls a lucky kid around looking like they are having a blast.  Can you imagine how ecstatic those fans were when these four Twilight stars showed up just to say hi and thanks for being so loyal? When people are that loyal to you, you need to reciprocate somehow.  Now that’s class!
