The always lovely Jennie Garth, her hunky husband Peter Facinelli and their kids took part in yesterday‘s Milk & Bookies first annual Story Time Celebration at the Skirball Cultural Centre in Los Angeles.  Milk & Bookies is:

a non-profit organization that teaches young children how great it feels to give back while celebrating the love of a good book.”

Kathryn Bigelow beat out ex-husband James Cameron at the Producers Guild Awards last night by winning best film for her movie The Hurt Locker.  Word is, she’s expected to win at next week’s Directors Guld Awards and some are saying last night’s win puts her to the front of the line insofar as Oscar buzz is concerned.

In television, producer of the year for comedy went to 30 Rock (of course) with Mad Men getting the win for drama.

The Star Trek cast continue their promotional tour of the movie and are currently in Berlin, Germany to premiere it.  Eric Bana, Chris Pine, Zoe Saldana, J.J. Abrams, and Simon Pegg all stopped to sign autographs for fans.

J.J. Abrams ‘Star Trek’ movie premiered at the Sydney Opera House in Australia.  Eric Bana is hot, no?  The movie also stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto and Karl Urban.

You know, I wish I could say something witty in Star Trek language, but I’ve got nothing.  Zip.  Nada.  I don’t watch those types of shows (I know, I know) and I really don’t get the phasers on stun and all that stuff.  I don’t even know if I said that right.  But I like pretty pictures. 

What I do know is that Star Trek is getting majorly awesome reviews.  It is being described as ‘brilliant’.  That word I know.

Chris Pine plays Captain Kirk in this new Star Trek movie that is expected to be released May 8, 2009.  Eric Bana is also in it.  HOLLA!
