To all of those people who thought Russell Brand was just out for Katy Perry's money, you be wrong. By law Russell is entitled to half of Katy's money because when they married October 23, 2010 they did not have a prenup.

During their marriage TMZ is reporting that Katy reportedly made $44 Million which would make Russell potentially wealthier by $22 Million. However Russell's lawyer filed final divorce papers yesterday and he is not asking for any of his community property rights. The divorce will be final in June and according to a source:

"This divorce is as amicable as it gets, and Russell was a mensch (Yiddish for a good person)."

While I find it hard to believe it's as 'amicable' as this source is saying, I'm not at all surprised that Russell doesn't want any of her money. He's been nothing but a gentleman since he filed for divorce.

US Weekly is confirming that Katy Perry 27, will be performing at this year's 54th Annual Grammy Awards marking her first performance post-split from her husband (and my dirty dirty fantasy) Russell Brand 36

The awards' ceremony will be live in Los Angeles on February 12th and you know we will have all of the news including winner's list, red carpet, press room and after party photos. But enough about pimping the site.

Katy has nominations in both Record of the Year (Firework) and Best Pop Solo Performance. The Grammy's are to music what Oscars are to movies.

If you recall last year Katy shared some of her wedding day video footage while she performed and I will totally bet my life that will not be the case this year.

Katy was recently in Las Vegas at the Mirage Hotel for the GiveLove charity event with her best friend Marcus Molinari. A source tells US that she was still very sad in Vegas.

Katy Perry has finally emerged (in a professional capacity) since Russell Brand filed for divorce. She was in Las Vegas last night at the Mirage Hotel to kick off the Grand Opening Weekend and GiveLove event with co-host J. Molinari Jewelry.

She rocked her trademark Smurf-like blue hair. It makes me wonder if she's sending a message to Russell that she's blue? Her fingertips are also painted blue. Talk about analyzing stuff to death, right?

Patricia Arquette is co-founder of the GiveLove organization which seeks to improve sanitation in Haiti. The dude with Katy is with is Marcus Molinari.

According to US Weekly Russell Brand has already moved on from Katy Perry (he filed for divorce December 30) and not only that he is badmouthing Katy to the women he's boning. And of course he is going to ask one of these women to move in with him. According to US's source:

"She discovered through her friends," an insider tells Us of how Perry found out about 36-year-old Brand's wandering eye. "One of the women told a friend of hers and it got back to Katy."

"He's spoken terribly about Katy to them," the source says of Brand, who has sought out one particular woman to "explore a relationship" with. "[Russell] told her he wanted her to move in with him after the divorce is final,"
 

Perhaps I'm being biased because my loins catch fire when I think of Russell Brand, but this story sounds like a whole lot of bullsh*t to me so I'll go with the facts (as far as I know them considering I don't know these people at all). It's interesting how nothing bad has come out of Russell's mouth since he filed. He's only tweeted once whereas Katy has indicated her heart is happy again yet he is being vilified. Sure he was a womanizer in the past but if he were womanizing now (which if he's single I guess he's entitled to) wouldn't we see evidence somehow, someway?

He's remained quiet and classy about it all and if it's true he is badmouthing Katy, sooner or later a tape or recording of that is going to come out one would think.

It's 2012 and you know it's OVA when celebrity couples unfollow one another on Twitter! Katy Perry has unfollowed estranged husband Russell Brand on Twitter but so far he is still following her. 

I am sincerely hoping that those rumors of him writing a tell-all where he is spilling all of Katy's secrets is not true. Is this why she's stopped following him? So much for being friends after the break up right? Like that ever really works (especially in La La Land). If he is writing a tell-all I will stop loving him. Oh, I'll still read that book, but I will think he's a douche for doing it.

Us Weekly is reporting that Russell is acting 'so atrocious' Katy is limiting all contact with him. As much as it's none of our business I can't help but wonder what really happened?

Katy Perry has become a virtual cartoon character in a video game thanks to her collaboration with Electronic Arts, the makers of the virtual game Sims. The California Gurl says of the very appropriate collaboration:

'I love how you're able to play out different stories through your Sims characters – giving them different careers and watching them succeed. It's cool to see the Sims' stage performances in The Sims 3 Showtime decked out just like my California Dreams Tour – even my cotton candy video screens are in there! 

'I always like to think of myself as a cartoon, and now I'm a Sim!'

For those of you unfamiliar with Sims (such as myself) apparently it simulates families and real life. The game will also feature virtual clothes, furniture, etc. and Katy will be very hands on with future developments of the game.  I'm not a gamer so I have no idea how any of this works. I have started playing Diamond Dash on my iPhone. Is that anything similar?

'Katy Perry has been a fan of The Sims for several years, and her Simlish recording of her hit Hot and Cold featured in The Sims 2 series quickly became the most popular Simlish music video to date…No performer could better represent the humor and fun of The Sims brand.'

She is a very animated type girl isn't she? A special Collector's Edition will be available for purchase in March and you will be seeing the live version of Katy promoting it in ad campaigns.
