And all is well with the world, right?  If only it were that easy.  Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton used to be BFFs.  But then they grew apart, Kim rose to a new level of fame while Paris was slipping away and dealing with her own, personal troubles.

Well, the socialite pals have mended the fences and I think we can expect to see more of them together, publicly again.

Paris and Kim made up at Jimmy Iovine’s Grammys after party in L.A., where

“Paris came up to her and apologized, and said she didn’t want to fight,” the source explains.  ”Paris said she was happy for Kim’s success despite what reports have said — Kim was sweet and accepted her apology.”

Kim learned the socialite ropes from Paris back in the day.  Now they are older and wiser and the age of 30 and it seems like they are going to have a pretty good chance of being besties again.

Yay for good friends!  Haha……

Minds out of the gutter people Elizabeth Taylor, 79, was telling Kim Kardashian, 30, that size does matter when it comes to DIAMONDS. The two sat down where Kim interviewed Liz (that is wrong on many levels)  in the March issue Harper’s Bazaar:

“The Krupp is an extraordinary stone,” Taylor says. “It has such life and brilliance when light shines through it. Size does matter, but so does the size of the emotion behind it.”

The Krupp is the 33.91 karat diamond given to her by Richard Burton (husband #5 and #6). He also gave her a 69.42 karat diamond ring. CAN YOU IMAGINE??? My  god, I just can’t imagine what that is like to wear. Husband #3 Mike Todd gave her a 29.4 karat diamond. I wonder if Ms. Taylor will adopt me?

Prince Kicks Kim Kardashian Off The Stage at Madison Square Gardens – Video

Kim goes on to say:

“You are my idol. But I’m six husbands and some big jewels behind”

As the legend tells her:

“I never planned to acquire a lot of jewels or a lot of husbands,”"For me, life happened, just as it does for anyone else.”

But diamonds and husbands aside, she knows she’s lived a blessed life:

Her bottom-line advice: “Follow your passion, follow your heart, and the things you need will come.”

Prince performed at Madison Square Gardens last night where he pulled some people up on stage (was the first one Wanda Sykes?), the most talked-about being Kim Kardashian. When she failed to shake her booty he kicked her off the stage. It was hysterical.

The humour was not lost on Kim as she tweeted:

Come on people! Doesn’t anyone have a sense of humor?! Prince must not have seen Dancing With The Stars! LOL

She tweeted that she redeemed herself with a second chance on stage from the Purple Prince:

Went up on stage AGAIN! This time I redeemed myself! We all danced while Prince played the piano! Wow! What a night!

I couldn’t find any video of the redemption dance so we’re going to have to take her word for it.

The red carpet was bursting with colour last night at the 2011 Screen Actors Guild Awards.  It’s not easy choosing just one gown or even five gowns as favourites.   (How do you do it Cojo?)  So here are my picks from last night’s event:

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, Valerie Bertinelli, Julianna Marguiles and Tina Fey ignited the red carpet in their red-hot sizzling gowns.  (It’s nice to see Valerie walk the red-carpet again.  Girl, what’s your secret to looking so great?  It must be the newlywed life!)   But wait a minute.  The colour of love isn’t just reserved for red when Hilary Swank and Heather Morris set hearts aflutter with the romance of blush in Versace and Romona Keveza.

Kim Kardashian is majestic  in her jewel-encrusted, plum Marchesa gown and some serious bling-bling by Lorraine Schwartz.  Am I surprised how Mariska Hargitay wows us once again?  Of course not.  What can I say about her simple, yet stylish, elegance that hasn’t been said before?  The lady is true grace in her strapless, bustled, purple Isaac Mizrahi gown.  (I love a bustled gown and not everyone can pull off wearing one the way Mariska can.  You go girl!)  Let’s not forget the ageless Susan Sarandon who graces us in a regal purple gown by Nicole Miller.  The only accessory missing was her tiara.  She looked princess perfect because I have a feeling that this lady was royalty in another life (or could be in this one).

However, on a night bursting with colour, Kyra Sedgwick proves that black never goes out of style in body-hugging, Thierry Mugler couture.   This lady could wear a potato sac and still look great!

Who needs colour though, when white dazzles for Winona Ryder, the ever so elegant Eva Longoria and mommy-in-waiting, Natalie Portman as they float down the red carpet in heavenly white.  Could a mommy-to-be  look more elegant in a form-fitting white gown than Natalie Portman?  Expectant mothers are applauding you everywhere, Natalie.  I just know they are!

How cute does Aunty Kim Kardashian look with baby Mason in her arms? Babies look good on her. She along with sister (and Mason’s mommy) Kourtney shop at Barney’s of New York in Los Angeles along with sister Kendall Jenner.

Kendall is such a gorgeous young girl who looks to have a very promising career as a model ahead of her. Such a pretty girl and she seems very poised for her age.

I think at one time I saw her pimping toilet paper in Times Square. Maybe that was a nightmare I was having, I can’t be sure. What won’t  this girl pimp out?

This campaign starts in April and will see her in billboard ads as well as doing personal visits. Hopefully dressed as Gumby.
