I truly think I’m going to love Safety Not Guaranteed.  It just seems, from the trailer we brought you at the end of March and today’s two new clips, like one of those special little films that hits on all cylinders. Both of the clips feature Mark Duplass as Kenneth and Aubrey Plaza as  Darius the duplicitous ad-answerer.

This first one is called Weapons:

The second clip,(from Popsugar via our friends at HeyUGuys) features Kenneth and Darius in the woods discussing his Star Wars action figures:

The supporting cast includes Jake M. Johnson, Kristen Bell, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Jeff Garlin and Lynn Shelton. Safety Not Guaranteed impressed at Sundance and SXSW and will get a limited release June 8 in the US. That’s prime summer blockbuster season I realize (Prometheus Day for one), but this might just be a welcome alternative to having your senses assaulted by all of the 3D and IMAX. Safety Not Guaranteed is the feature debut of writer/director Colin Trevorrow, and the script is reportedly based on a real newspaper ad that turned into an Internet meme that Jay Leno featured in the "Headlines" segment of The Tonight Show. It stars Aubrey Plaza (internet darling and favorite of fanboys everywhere. I didn’t understand the hype, despite the fact that I like her on Parks & Recreation, until I saw this trailer) and Mark Duplass (the half o f the directing Duplass Brothers that acts).  While there are timeless and well-worn themes running throughout like finding someone to trust, believing with your heart and not your head, etc, it’s wrapped in what feels like an original premise. And since it’s my belief that there’s nothing new under the sun anyway, it’s always all about the delivery.

Kristen Bell is one of those celebrities that I could never get sick of. She's cute, talented, funny and appears to be very down-to-earth and genuine. A total girl's girl. She's pictured here with her friends and fiance Dax Shepard at a park in Los Angeles just chillaxing. Because she's cool like that and doesn't have to shop or drive around in expensive vehicles. I bet her outfit isn't designer and it's from Wal Mart or something. If her and I were friends we could shop together. Please be my friend Kristen Bell.

Anyhoo, I hope that when Kristen and Dax get married we'll see the wedding pictures because she is going to be a beautiful bride!

Kristen Bell appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres show promoting her latest movie Big Miracle where she talked about her 31st birthday with fiance Dax Shepard (last summer) and how he made it very special not only by having a birthday party for her but having a SLOTH come to the house. Apparently Kristen is enamored in a very big way with sloths.

So she's telling Ellen the story of how on her birthday there is a knock at the door and Dax tells her to take the dogs and go in the bedroom. At this point she has no clue it's a sloth. Then as she's in the bedroom with the door shut she realizes it's a sloth. She feels it.

Dax opens the door with a video camera and she shared her emotional meltdown with Ellen. Being the jokester that she is Ellen (at the end of viewing that clip) tells her there's one backstage and she immediately starts tearing up.

First of all I LOVE Kristen Bell. Seriously this girl is perfection. But I have to say she's got some big stones sharing that video of her emotional breakdown over the sloth and good for her. And isn't it adorable how Dax just totally gets her and loves her for all that she is? That's a beautiful thing.

Seriously this hysterical and worth watching.

Kristen Bell is a doll that is talented, funny, gorgeous and self-deprecating. Her wit is sharp and she isn't changing for anybody and she's totally okay with that (as she should be):

She's in Flaunt Magazine in a spread that's entitled 'Kristen Bell Hates You' and while hate is probably a word you would never associate with this doll, she will tell you like it is and for that we love her badly:

“I’ve always been a big dog person,” she declares, pointing out two small dogs yip-yapping in excitement over the smell of food, thick in the air. “I like animals more than I like people. They’re just nicer,” Bell says and blinks her eyes and stares at me daringly. 

I totally understand that. Dogs are nicer than most people. It's just the truth.  She's all about the truth and that includes realizing she is not perfect:

“I stopped chasing perfection in every definition of the word. In career, in vanity, in anywhere I could apply it. I think perfection is unrealistic and unattainable, and I felt freed when I let myself be who I am,” Bell states. “Like, I’m gonna order red velvet pancakes. Life is fucking short and these are delicious.” 

I f*cking love this woman. She is the type of girl another girl would be so lucky to have as a friend. And despite her enormous success and that of her fiance Dax Shepard, the two are frugal and well, hillbillies:

“We’re hillbillies at heart, and I’m not fucking ashamed of that.” She goes on to say that another common trait Detroit imparts to all its native inhabitants is pessimism. “You tend to always be prepared for the end. Even if you get out,” Bell explains. “So, I always assume my career’s going to end tomorrow, you know what I mean? We’re very frugal.”

Local newsman Adam Carlson (Krasinski) can’t wait to escape the northern tip of Alaska for a bigger market. But just when the story of his career breaks, the world comes chasing it, too. Engaged couple Kristen Bell 31, and Dax Shepard 36, showed some love to one another on the red carpet at this weekend’s 2011 Do Something Awards which combine Hollywood and social good. You can catch it on TV August 18th 9/8c.

It’s rare to see Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard at an event together in the first place, but to be showering each other with the PDA is beyond rare but it’s a beautiful thing. I love these two. Especially Kristen. She appears to be just a beautiful person both inside and out.

I think the monkey Crystal may have stolen the show last night at the Los Angeles premiere of The Hangover: Part II. What an absolute sweet little monkey! Of course the gorgeous Justin Bartha and Bradley Cooper may have also garnered some much-deserved attention too. Do you think?

Alyssa Milano rocked her baby bump looking very adorable. Husband and wife (although we really aren’t sure about that yet) Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard were also at the premiere along with the stars of the show Zach Galifianakis, Mike Tyson, and Ken Jeong.

Rainn Wilson was virtually unrecognizable given that he has lost a lot of weight. He looks great.
