Based on the screenplay The Apartment, Sean Hayes and Kristin Chenoweth opened on Broadway last night in Promises, Promises a musical comedy based on the novel by Neil Simon with music by Burt Bacharach and Hal David.

The website describes the comedy as:

It’s Manhattan. It’s the ’60s. And the city is back in full swing, in Broadway’s first-ever revival of PROMISES PROMISES—starring Emmy® Award-winner Sean Hayes (Will and Grace) as Chuck Baxter, the enterprising associate on the way up, and Tony® and Emmy® Award-winner Kristin Chenoweth (Wicked) as Fran Kubelik, the cafeteria waitress whose romantic troubles have got her down.

To help with her insomnia, Kristin Chenoweth takes Ambien and as she’s waiting for it to kick in she sometimes Tweets:

“Haiti was a devastating thing to see and I was watching it one night on Ambien and then I tweeted that I was gonna adopt a baby from Haiti.

“I’m adopted and it’s not out of the realm of possibility for me… and the next day I’m at the When In Rome premiere with my friend Kristen Bell and I’m asked, ‘When is my adoption going through?’ I mean… it wasn’t gonna happen the next day.

And just like how some people drunk dial exes and whatnot, Kristin apparently Tweets to guys she’s crushing on when under the spell of Ambien:

“You tweet people you have crushes on, and the next day, you’re like, ‘What?’ You can’t believe it.”

She doesn’t like to read things about herself either:

“They tweeted the other night about how on the red carpet this vein that comes through on my forehead sometimes… somebody tweeted that I needed to watch that. And I thought, ‘Well, apparently I need it to live, folks.’”

She once dated Jeff Probst.  She is God in my books.

Bethenny Frankel rocks her baby bump at the The Mercedes Benz IMG Fashion week show for The Heart Truth’s Red Dress collection.  All the ladies looked lovely as they wore red to raise awareness for heart disease in women.  The campaign’s slogan:

Kristen Bell strikes a pose on the red carpet of the Los Angeles premiere of When in Rome, a romantic comedy that costars Josh Duhamel and opens in theatres tomorrow.  The trailers look good but then again it is starring Kristen Bell and who can’t help but love the movies she stars in?  Josh and Kristen seem to have great on-screen chemistry in the movie.  I love the scene with the vase that won’t break! Will you go and see it?

Sorry about the lack of posting and late posting today, it’s a bit of a crazy day for me.  If you didn’t catch The Emmy’s last night, here are some shots backstage in the press area where some of the winners posed with their statute:  My cheating bastard of a future husband Jeff Probst, Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin, Jessica Lange, Glenn Close, Kristin Chenoweth (how tiny is she, huh? She’s very cute), Michael Emerson, Toni Collette and others.

Also backstage were Michael J. Fox (LOVE him), Kaley Cuoco, Thomas Jane and Patricia Arquette.  Are they ‘together’??  I never get those effing emails.

And at the HBO and ET afterparties were people like Maria Bello, the McCord sisters (Rachel, Angel and AnnaLynne) and others.

The stars, and a former U.S. President came out to celebrate the late Paul Newman’s ‘Hole in the Wall Gang Camp’ in New York last night.  It is still hard to believe that Paul Newman is gone, but his wonderful work still thrives.

The mission statement of this wonderful organization:

The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, in collaboration with its associated camps in the United States and abroad, provides children with cancer and other serious illnesses and conditions a camping experience of the highest quality, while extending year-round support to their families and health care providers
