Lauren Conrad has been done with The Hills for quite awhile now.  But she’s done anything but slow down with the rest of her career.  She’s been very focused on her fashion line and also her book writing.

Lauren Conrad Won’t Be Stopped

Lauren’s first book, L.A. Candy just landed her another three-book deal with HarperCollins, Us Weekly is reporting.

This new trilogy is called, The Fame Game.

It is set in the reality TV universe, and features Madison Parker, an ambitious, ruthless character from the L.A. Candy series who’s ready to become a star in her own right. In her way? Backstabbing family friends, dogged paparazzi and one media scandal after the next!

Lauren explains,

“We took the mean girl of the [L.A. Candy books], spinning her off.  This series is about a girl who loves everything that fame is, and that’s all she’s ever really wanted,” Conrad explains. “[Madison] has fun with the press, she enjoys the attention, she welcomes scandal!”

Fun!  Lauren is adorable.  I loved her on The Hills and have missed seeing her on the tube.  But, her writing is addictive and this new series is going to top the charts too, I am sure of it.

Lauren Conrad’s new show may have been dropped by MTV before it ever even got it’s first episode on the air, but that isn’t stopping the former Hills star for a second,

“The amount of offers I’ve gotten has been very flattering,” Conrad told Us while celebrating her birthday at Pure nightclub in Las Vegas Saturday. “We all worked really hard on it and I’m really proud of it. It turned out fantastic, so stay tuned.”

So we can expect word on which network Lauren is going with in the very near future.  Meanwhile, she’s still working really hard on her Paper Crown clothing line that I am more than excited about!

“We just got our look book and we’re going to Coterie in about a week, so we’re very excited about that,” she said. “Things are going really great. I’m running it with my best friends. It’s a really fun project.”

How cool is that?  Who wouldn’t love their “job” if it was something that fun, that you totally loved.  I am so anxious to see the line as well as her show.  Hurry up already!

Yeah, that’s messed up.  Lauren Conrad totally got the shaft from her “home” network, MTV when they decided to drop her new show before it ever had a chance.

Lauren Conrad’s Sweet Little Lies

MTV exec David Janollar said,

“We decided not to go ahead with the show.  She did do a pilot.  There were talks about whether we could somehow manage to put together a special based on that footage but that’s also a big question mark based on her interest in that and the finances. We love her! We would love her on our network!”

Well, Lauren is pissed and rightfully so, I would be too.  She said in a statement,

“We sold a show to MTV, filmed it and are really proud of the final result. MTV felt the subject matter was too high brow for their audience and offered me the opportunity to change the show by incorporating more of my personal life. We agreed going into the project that this show would be an aspirational one, focusing on my career and my goals and not my personal relationships. We delivered the show that we sold and are sorry MTV didn’t feel their viewers were savvy enough to appreciate it.”

I think Lauren should take it to Oxygen or Bravo.  That would be a perfect fit over there and I think the network at either spot would welcome her with open arms.  Good luck Lauren!  I’ll watch no matter what network you land on!

Oh geez.  Poor Audrina Patridge.  She must be mortified! Tuesday night after being kicked off Dancing With The Stars (which is a joke if you ask me because there’s some talent left that is not better than her and I can’t see how their fan base is bigger than hers either!) her mother Lynn stumbled out of Beso Restaurant  for a cigarette and because it’s one of the pappers’ hotspots, she had her drunken rant on Hollywood.TV where she said among other things:

“Audrina is going to f***ing rise. She’s got class. She’s a Polish, Catholic, f***ing full-on Italian. Not only that, she was raised right. And I don’t give a s***t. It’s all American.”

She also called her daughter’s former ‘The Hills’ costars “tramps” and took aim in particular at Lauren Conrad.

“We’re going to f***ing smoke, especially Lauren Conrad’s pissy a** little fashion s***,” she slurred. “That b***h wants to bring it on? Let’s go!”

Man if I had a dollar for every time she used the F-bomb!! A moment  any child would be proud for their parents, yes? You’ve got to love the Lauren Conrad dig.

I wonder what she meant by ‘politics’.  This still isn’t as surprising as the time Sabrina Bryan got kicked off.  That still has me floored, but then again I don’t have a life so it’s all kind of relative.

Sean Penn needs to find himself a comb and some sun.  Perhaps it’s the shade of his lipstick throwing off the whole look he’s trying to achieve. He’s actually in Dublin, Ireland filming This Must Be The Place.
