Back on November 25th we informed you that Lily Allen gave birth to a bouncing baby girl but as of yet we haven't heard the girl's name. Enter grandma (Lily's mother) Alison Owen who spilled the beans that her name is Ethel Mary. Okay I get the Mary part, but the Ethel part? When was the last time you heard the name Ethel? That's right you probably haven't and if you have it would most likely be Ethel Merman (who died in 1984 God rest her soul).

According to The Sun, the loose-lipped grandma mentioned the baby by name to a friend on Facebook! Yet another reason to hate Facebook.

On June 11th Lily married Ethel's father Sam Cooper and also announced her pregnancy. She had suffered a miscarriage at 6 months along in November of 2010. 

If Lily ever has a boy, I'm betting the name will be Jebadiah (no offense to any Jebadiah's that may have a computer and are reading this).

British songstress Lily Allen 26, is a first-time mom to a bouncing baby girl with her hubby Sam Cooper after she gave birth Friday night. About a year ago she suffered a miscarriage when she was six months pregnant with a baby boy. 

Back in June Lily and Sam got married in London, England where she announced in addition to becoming Mrs. Sam Cooper that she was pregnant.

This is such wonderful news for this couple! We send our sincere best wishes to this family!

Songstress Lily Allen and her boyfriend Sam Cooper got married in London, England where the sun was shining and the town was closed off for the blessed event.

Lily seemed quite happy on her wedding day and she has good reason. In addition to becoming Mrs. Sam Cooper, she is pregnant! Sam announced at the breakfast party that Lily was expecting. That is such lovely news. The couple lost their unborn son in November when she was six months along. We are so happy for the couple!

The couple married at the St. James Church in Cranhman upon their exit they drove away in their Bentley.  The bride wore a 20′s inspired lace gown by Delphine Manivet.

Lily Allen is launching a fashion line with her sister, Sarah Owen.  They have named it, Lucy in Disguise, which happens to be the name of their vintage shop in London’s Covent Garden district.

Lily Allen and Sam Cooper Are Getting Married

“(Lucy’s) a time-traveling fashionista, who’s inviting you to explore her wardrobe,” Allen explained at a press conference. “It’s a great opportunity to play with the character.”

Lily Allen gets to finish off her rough 2010 on a very positive note.  Her boyfriend, Sam Cooper proposed to her on Christmas Day! I don’t think he did it just because every other celebrity couple is doing it either.  These two have been bonded so close together after everything they’ve been through.  I am truly happy for them both.

Sam popped the question in Bali on the balcony of their hotel room as the sun was setting over the Indian Ocean.  Um yeah, that’s completely romantic.  Well done Sam.

Lily Allen and Sam Cooper are still grieving the loss of their baby boy, but they are wanting to move forward with their plans to marry.

Lily Allen Suffers A Miscarriage

“Lily and Sam had loose plans to marry after the baby was born but nothing concrete was in motion,’ says a friend of the pair. ‘Now they have decided they want to be man and wife as soon as possible. They realised through their grief that they absolutely adore one another and cannot live without each other.”

Now the wedding plans are in motion to take place in early 2011 in Gloucestershire at her father Keith Allen’s luxury home in the Cotswolds market town of Minchinhampton.

“She loves his country pad and she and Sam feel it is absolutely right for them to marry there. They want to be together after what they’ve gone through and see becoming man and wife as the light at the end of the tunnel.”

I think they are making the right choice.  They already had plans to get married, so it’s not like this is spur of the moment.  I would have been sad if they’d put it off because of their loss.  Lily definitely needs that light at the end of the tunnel.  I am very excited for the wedding!
