Madonna called into  Ryan Seacrest's  morning radio show and talked about her Super Bowl performance and how it became about M.I.A. flipping the bird on camera.

She mentions it wasn't until after she left the building (in the elevator) that she had heard about it because while she's performing she's not seeing what the camera is on, naturally. And Madge was NOT happy:

"I was really surprised. I didn’t know anything about it. I wasn’t happy about it."

"I understand it’s punk rock and everything, but to me there was such a feeling of love and good energy, and positivity, it seemed negative. It’s such a teenager … irrelevant thing to do … there was such a feeling of love and unity there. What was the point?"

 "It was just out of place."

If you want to head over to TMZ you can hear the audio of the conversation. TMZ also updated their post indicating she called into Carson Daly and M.I.A. has apologized to Madonna for it.

Right off of her incredible 2012 Super Bowl halftime performance, Madonna has announced the European and North America dates for her 2012 World Tour. On March 26 Madge official releases her MDNA album.

For those of you who are a member of her fanclub you can get an early start on premium seats when you enter the Lifetime Legacy code. So I did just that and guess what? The effing code doesn't work. While I'm sure Madonna will be fine without my extra $18.95 that it cost to get NOTHING, it would be great if I could get some good seats to this concert. Grrrrr. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Madonna was the main act at the 2012 Super Bowl halftime show and she did NOT disappoint. From the grand entrance being carried in by some very hot gladiators when she sang her first song 'Vogue'. The stage effects, lighting, everything was out of this world.

Next up was LMFAO where they did a very toned down version of Party Rock and Sexy and I Know It infused into Madonna's 'Music'.

Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. performed with Madonna on her latest single 'Give Me All Your Luvin' and while it was clear they were lip syncing, M.I.A. managed to evade the censor button by giving the world the middle finger.

Cee Lo Green and an incredible choir (did you see how happy they all were?) joined Madge for 'Like A Prayer'. 

What did you think of the half-time show? 

Seriously if you think about how Madonna is 53 years old and she still brings it time and time again it was an outstanding performance. Even if she weren't 53 it was an outstanding performance.

Madonna is set to perform at the half-time show for this Sunday's Super Bowl and being the marketing maven that she is, has also released the cover art for her upcoming album MDNA. Can we just say the album cover is AWESOME? The album will be released on March 26th and in the meantime we have a teaser f or her new single 'Give Me All Your Luvin' and it's cover art as well. The teaser comes courtesy of American Idol where an exclusive preview of the video will take place!

I’m one of those that sees conspiracy around every corner so it’s not a stretch for me to think that it is no coincidence that Optimum Releasing and The Weinstein Company have dropped a new clip from Madonna’s now Golden Globe winning film, W.E. the day after the film picked up an award. Of course the Globe was for Best Original Song, but don’t get me started on that. (Whatever Harvey wants, Harvey gets. Everyone knows that, including Meryl Streep.)

The clip is simple, a dance scene in which Andrea Riseborough’s Wallis Simpson begins the dance in the arms of her current husband, Ernest Simpson (David Harbour) and ends it in the arms of her future husband, James D’Arcy as Edward, then still the Prince of Wales. There is no doubt this film will be visually stunning. The period costumes have already been the subject of a Vogue pictorial and Riseborough looks more completely like Wallis Simpson than any actress who has played her before.

What remains to be seen is whether or not the thing comes together as a film with a cohesive narrative. It’s ambitious with two main story lines taking place in different decades with essentially two casts. Abbie Cornish and Oscar Isaac play the contemporary pair. Of course, Cornish hasn’t been seen since TIFF in connection with the film. Does Madge feud with everyone?

Sunday night, December 4, the Cinema Society of New York and Piaget hosted a screening of Madonna‘s film W.E. at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMa). Based on the epic love story between King Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson, the film also follows a contemporary romance between a young woman and a married security guard. It stars Andrea Riseborough and James D’Arcy as Wallis and Edward and Abbie Cornish and Oscar Isaac as the modern couple. Of course Madge showed up, looking fierce, (including an 18K white gold Piaget) to introduce the film.

The event drew out a lot of New York scene-sters ranging from art patrons to hipsters and all variations in between (my invite must have gotten lost in the mail) like Cinema Society Founder Andrew Saffir,  Harvey Weinstein, Anderson Cooper, Chloe Sevigny, Jeremy Piven, Adrien Brody, Kim Cattrall, Kelli Garner, Annabelle Wallis, Michelle Trachtenberg, Jeff Gordon and Ingrid Vandebosch, Catalina Sandino Mareno, Parker Posey, Anson Mount, Donna Karan, Julian Schnabel, Patti Smith, Andy Cohen, Francisco Costa, Andre Leon Talley, Stefano Tonchi, Rachel Roy, Olivier Theyskens, Prabal Gurung, Olivia Palermo and Johannes Huebl and Valentino. After the film, guests headed over to Crown for the after party. We’ve got a few pics below.
