Back on July 15th we reported the shocking news that Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony had split up. Marc Anthony 42, is now breaking his silence and speaking to ABC News about his impending divorce from his wife of seven years Jennifer Lopez 42 and what actually happened..

There were rumors of him and Jada Pinkett Smith having an affair on the set of HawthoRNe, and also the report he joined the mile high club with a flight attendant. Marc is telling ABC News that not only did none of that happen, there is nothing sensationalistic about their divorce:

“I’ll tell you that it wasn’t something sensationalistic happening,” ”It was a realization on both our parts. So you know it wasn’t shocking. These things happen,” he says. “It was a decision that we made jointly.”

Life goes on and although he will ‘always love Jennifer’ it’s not the end of the world:

“This is not a funeral. This is not a burial,” Anthony says. “This is just two people who came together and just realized – and so I’m saying that it wasn’t sustainable the way it was, and that’s that.”

Am I reading too much into the ‘it wasn’t sustainable the way it was’? I wonder what that really means? Either way it’s their life and they are both grown-ups and life is way too short to be unhappy.

Jennifer Lopez arrives at NRJ sudios

Jennifer Lopez performed at a Ukrainian wedding last night and she did it for a cool $1 million that she will get all to herself, thanks to her split from Marc Anthony. He won’t get a dime.  Like he needs it, right?   The weird part is that they didn’t have her start performing until 11:30 PM and well, for a million bucks, you’d think they’d want her to start when everyone could still see straight.

There were reportedly 300 guests in attendance.

TMZ pointed out that the World Health Organization has rated the Ukraine as #1 in the world for alcohol consumption among youth.  Yeah, they should be so proud.

I wonder if Jen did a few shots before she started her set?

BREAKING: Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony SPLIT!!!!

As shocking as Jennifer Lopez 41, and Marc Anthony 42, splitting, it’s not really. Back on the 4^th of July weekend it was revealed in a blind reveal that Marc was allegedly cheating with his backup singer.

The couple have released a joint statement:

We have decided to end our marriage,” they tell PEOPLE exclusively in a joint statement. “This was a very difficult decision. We have come to an amicable conclusion on all matters.”

“It is a painful time for all involved,” the statement continues, “and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time.”

The two have been married since 2004 and have 3 year old twins Max and Emme.

Are you surprised by this? 

This year’s 53rd Annual Grammy Award fashion on the red carpet left me thinking, “where do I begin?”  So let’s get the bad news out of the way first.

Lady Gaga.   She shocked me alright.  I was expecting some hair raising number when she was “hatched”.

With the exception of the horns spurting from her forehead, the rest of her was subdued compared to what we’ve seen in the past.  (But then, I didn’t see her later on in the night.)  Nevertheless, you have to give the Lady credit as she continues to amaze us and gives new meaning to the idea of re-inventing oneself.

Jaw-dropping moment goes to Nicki Minaj. I don’t get it and quite frankly, I don’t want to.  But as long as she does, that’s all that matters.

And guys, please!  Adam Levine, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, while we don’t expect tuxes, do pay attention to your footwear.

Rihanna gets marks for the most talked-about dress on the red carpet turning heads as they tried to see if they could catch a glimpse of her lady parts.

Belle of the ball honours go to Selena Gomez who doesn’t need to be nominated for anything, as she already is an award in this J. Mendel gown.  A great sense of style at such a young age.  And speaking of youth, Kelly Osbourne is another breath of fresh air in a delightful girly lavender frock by Tadashi Shoji, which reminds us that spring is around the corner.  Thank you, Kelly!

All that glitters really does for Jennifer Lopez and Mya as they light up the red carpet in a parade of metallics and golds.

Let’s not forget some eye candy for the ladies, as dashing men Matthew Morrison and LL Cool J. are hitting all the right notes.

Song bird Jewel shows off her baby bump in demure canary yellow Pamela Roland.   Pregnancy really does make a woman glow.  Another great stylish Hollywood mommy-to-be.

Best dressed couple:  I declare a tie!  While Nicole Kidman and Jennifer Lopez looked ravishing, respective hubbies Keith Urban and Marc Anthony are their best accessories.

The most memorable moment of the night goes to Katy Perry. While perched on a swing singing “Not Like the Movies”, film footage of her wedding played in the background.  Not only was she beautiful in her live short frock, but even more so in her Elie Saab bridal gown.

I don’t know what it is about Grammy fashion.  You either like it or you don’t.  In any event, I’ve managed to come up with my picks for the evening in order of preference:  Jennifer Lopez, Selena Gomez, Jewel, Mya and Kristine Elezaj.

Jennifer Lopez joined hubby Marc Anthony in New York yesterday for the 53rd Annual Puerto Rican Day Parade where Marc was named ‘King of the Parade‘ replacing Osvaldo Rios who withdrew because of a prior domestic violence conviction. Born to Puerto Rican parents and raised in New York JLo says:

“It always makes me feel incredibly proud to be Puerto Rican… It’s an amazing day

The King of the Parade echoed those sentiments:

“It’s one of those life-altering moments because it was such a big part of my life… from when I was two years old.”

It’s early and I’m pretty stunned early on in the day, but wouldn’t he have been Puerto Rican from birth given his parents are Puerto Rican? What happened between birth and two years old?

The vehicle they were in broke down and they ended up having to take a golf cart.  Now that’s hysterical.  Someone is probably going to get fired today!

Jennifer Lopez along with costar Alex O’Loughlin premiered The Back-Up Plan in Los Angeles last night where JLo’s hubby Marc Anthony, and manager Benny Medina also attended.

But more importantly Nubbins the dog hit the red carpet.  Bless that little pooch!  Nubbins is the dog’s real name but his character name in the film is Nuts. Nubbins is an able-bodied dog but was made to appear in character for the premiere.

JLo admits there is no ‘message’ to the movie:

“It’s not a message movie. It’s a romantic comedy. It definitely deals with modern issues, which I love. When I read it, that’s one of the things I really liked about it, it had a very modern voice. It seemed very up to date.

“I think that’s very important for romantic comedies – that they do deal with issues. It doesn’t feel like it’s a story from 20 years ago, which some romantic comedies can be like. So, that was one of the things that really attracted me to it.”

The premiere was also a mini Dancing With The Stars reunion with Gilles Marini, Karina Smirnoff, Jake Pavelka (yes he brought his fiancee along), and Edyta Sliwinska attending.

Best friend of JLo, Leah Rimini attended with her husband.  Other attendees included Jensen Ackles, Heidi Klum and The Dog Whisperer himself Cesar Millan.
