Mariah Carey worked several times with Whitney Houston over her career and the two were friends despite the rumors of a rivalry. She attended Whitney's funeral service and told Good Morning America this past week:

I'm almost incapable of talking about this still. It's very heavy emotionally…

"[The service] was gorgeous. Such a class act. The way she went out and the way family dealt with it, I was very moved."

If you notice in the video Mariah has such a huge smile on her face every time she's with Whitney. The friendship and love was and is totally sincere.

Mariah Carey took to Twitter and her website yesterday asking for your prayers as her husband Nick Cannon was hospitalized for minor kidney failure:

This is us in the hospital – role reversal; Last year it was me attached to the machines (after having dembabies) and Nick was there with me through it, and now here we are.

We're trying to be as festive as possible under the circumstances but please keep Nick in your thoughts because this is very painful. They tried to kick me out of the hospital but here I am pon de bed with Mr. C.

We're doing OK but we're "straaaaaanded in Aspen". #DramaticDivaPlace (I know, we could be in a lot worse places) but the truth is as long as we're together, we're OK. I'm not trying to make light out of the situation because it's a serious moment that's very tough on all of us so please keep us and our family in your prayers. LYM.

Poor Nick. He looks like he's in a lot of pain. When you hear kidney failure it's hard to believe there is 'minor' because it all sounds pretty major to me.

Tonight on the lighting of the Christmas Tree at Rockefeller Centre in NYC, Justin Bieber introduced his official video of 'All I Want For Christmas' with Mariah Carey.

It's very festive and very sweet. Mariah is loving her some Justin in what looks to be Macy's. 

At the beginning of the video Mariah looks VERY young. To the point  I was wondering if that is some old footage from her original video (which I'm not sure if I've ever even seen). She's intent on showing us her backside during her entire solo footage. The 'flirting' between these two is a bit gross considering she's old enough to be his mom, but it's still festive!

Justin Bieber is in overdrive pimping his Christmas album Under The Mistletoe and what better way to hit the mark than with Mariah Carey's 'All I Want For Christmas is You'. A Christmas-Carey classic.

You know what I want for Christmas? I want calorie-free donuts, french fries and hamburgers. Is that asking too much? Given that that is HIGHLY unlikely I will take one of the following: Gerard Butler, Jason Statham, or Kiefer Sutherland.

What do you think of the audio? I love this Mariah Carey Christmas song (although I like really traditional Christmas songs, think Mormon Tabernacle Choir…I'm not kidding) and I think Justin sounds pretty good on it. At least he doesn't completely destroy it, right?

Six months after a very difficult pregnancy, Mariah Carey 40, and husband Nick Cannon 31, shared their twin boy and girl Moroccan and Monroe with Barbara Walters and the world for ABC's 20/20. 

When they walked into the nursery and the babies were both sitting up totally glammed up I thought I was going to die. That was the cutest thing ever. Their nursery is bigger than a lot of people's apartments. Can you imagine the lifestyle these two kids are going to grow up in?

Shortly after Mariah and Nick married in 2008, Mariah became pregnant but suffered a miscarriage. When she became pregnant with Moroccan and Monroe she did so through infertility treatments but also had to take injections of progesterone during  the first while of the pregnancy to ensure she didn't miscarry. Toward the end of the pregnancy she couldn't get up and down on her own:

"I don't think I understood the enormity or the magnitude of what it really does to your body," she explained. "It's not just, oh you don't look pretty and you have a bump."

Much to the delight of his Beliebers, Justin Bieber has released the track listing for his Christmas Album 'Under The Mistletoe' as well as the album artwork although I think that's not new news to his fans.

He teams up with Mariah Carey's for 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' remake. This is his first Christmas Album ever and he teams up not only with Mariah but his mentor Usher for The Christmas song as well as Busta Rhymes (Drummer Boy) and Boyz II Men for 'Fa La La'. 

Under The Mistletoe will be available November 1 (less than a month kids) but on October 18th you'll get to listen to 'Mistletoe' which ought to make the Beliebers freak out and get in the Christmas spirit dreaming of Justin Belieber under their tree.

In her first television appearance since giving birth to her twins, Mariah Carey visited HSN last night to promote her line of jewellery, apparel and fragrance with a side-order of crazy. Crazy in the nice way as opposed to the ‘she needs to be institutionalized’ way. I think.

Matt Cherette from Jezebel is a rock star and cut out all the boring stuff and just gave us four minutes of crazy from her TWO-HOUR visit! At one point her husband Nick Cannon is there.

I love me some MiMi but she’s just a little too ‘all over the place’ in this visit. But I will say she looks absolutely fabulous!

Nick Cannon is feeling pretty crappy that he’s having to leave Mariah Carey and their twins at home while he attends to his hosting gig on America’s Got Talent.

“It’s quite difficult,” Nick reveals to Life & Style. “Probably one of the hardest things I’ve had to do.  I really didn’t think about how difficult it was going to be because my wife has always been on the road,” he tells Life & Style. “She’s extremely understanding when it comes to that. I didn’t think it would be harder than before until it actually happened.  All I want to do is be home with my kids.  But you have to get out there and work, so it’s definitely a difficult task.”

All I can say is that at least it’s Nick leaving and not Mariah. Momma being away is way worse.  And the season won’t last forever!  Hang in there Nick!  We love you on AGT!!!
