Janet Jackson 45, is the latest celebrity to put her name behind the NutriSystem weight loss program. Having struggled with her weight her entire life, (and being criticized for it) it was time to make a change:

“It’s a matter of maintenance and keeping the weight off,” she said. “My success plan was to feel good about myself and be healthy.”

The teasing started early on in her life with brother Michael Jackson telling her she had a big butt:

“Being the baby of the family, you get teased,” she said. “I carried that through my adult life.”

She realizes it was not mean-spirited because she is the baby of the family and got teased all the time, but women tend to latch on to those things, don't we?

When she joined the cast of Good Times, in the second season she was  told to lose weight. At age 11!!!!! During her life she sought comfort in foods that only contributed to her poor body image: ice cream, cookies, and potato chips. We can all relate to eating those types of foods can't we?

Michael Jackson's kids Paris, Blanket and Prince attended last night's premiere of Cirque du Soleil's Michael Jackson: The Immortal Tour in Las Vegas last night along with their cousins. It's great to see Blanket smiling in some of these photos. He always looks so serious.

The show's tribute to the King of Pop showcases his hits as well as his dance moves and is receiving rave reviews. It will run in Las Vegas until December 29th. December 30th it goes to Arizona and then on to a North American tour hitting other U.S. and Canadian cities through August 2012.

Dr. Conrad Murray was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the death of the King of Pop Michael Jackson on November 7, 2011 and today is his day to be sentenced.

While his lawyer seemed to be grasping at straws to plead with the judge as to why Dr. Murray shouldn't receive the full four year sentence, it was beyond lame. 

The judge in the case Judge Michael Pastor didn't mince words when it came to handing down his sentence.  The Judge was horrified that Dr. Murray would record Michael Jackson in his most vulnerable state and felt that it was done as an 'insurance policy'. The Judge was horrified at how Dr. Murray has taken no responsibility for his part in the death of Michael Jackson. The judge says he unquestionably violated the patient/doctor. trust on a nightly basis. 'Dr. Murray abandoned his patient'.  His actions are a disgrace to the medical profession. 'Gross continuing deviation' not a single incident.

Request for probation is denied.  The judge does not have the legal authority to send him to State prison (he will serve his sentence in county jail). He has sentenced him to the full 4 years because Murray 'abandoned' his patient while he was vulnerable. Dr. Murray's course of conduct was over a period of time, he lied, he covered up his actions, he violated the trust of the medical community and his patient and he has absolutely no sense of remorse and no sense of fault, and IS and remains dangerous.'

January 23, 2012 is the court date for the restitution amount to be decided in which he has to pay the Jackson family. Dr. Conrad Murray is not required to appear at this court date.

Dr. Conrad Murray WILL be appealing this sentence and has 60 days in which to file the paperwork.

This is kind of all the way creepy. The bed that Michael Jackson died in is going up for auction. The bed and other items will be up for auction at Julien's Auctions on December 17.

Another item up for auction is a mirror from the room that everybody was forbidden from entering and has an inscription (done by the King of Pop himself) that reads: TRAIN, perfection, March April. FULL OUT May."

While I don't know what the answer is for what to do with the bed that Michael Jackson died in, it seems a bit creepy that it will be auctioned off. But not so creepy that it will not get any bidders. I just wonder how much it would go for.

The jury in the Dr. Conrad Murray trial has delivered a guilty of involuntary manslaughter charge in the death of Michael Jackson. They are in the court room now as I type this. Dr. Murray looks pretty somber. 

Sentencing will take place November 29, 2011. He's been taken into custody WITHOUT bail. The judge feels that he is a danger to the public because of his reckless behavior.

Some things in life are just plain wrong and the Lingerie Football League recruiting Michael Jackson's 13 year old daughter Paris to be the face of their league is one of them.  Paris recently became the first female in her private school to to join the flag football team so someone came up with the bright idea to have her represent the youth program of the lingerie football league.

The league says it is breaking down barriers for women, which is a crock of sh*t because if it were, these women wouldn't need to be in lingerie. They would be taken as seriously as men in football leagues. You don't see the men of the NFL parading around in thongs, do you? Although I would totally become an expert on the sport and watch it religiously if they did. I swear.

TMZ got their hands on the letter by the Lingerie Football League's head commission Mitchell S. Mortaza who goes on to say:

"lack of options for competitive female football" … and says the league will "be introducing youth clinics across the country to introduce the game of football to young ladies at an earlier stage in life."

Mortaza adds, "We … would like to invite Paris to become the spokesperson for the LFL's youth program and perhaps start training for a future football career in the LFL when she reaches the age of 18."

I'm not sure what their 'youth program' is all about but even to see an 18 year old girl parade around in her lingerie playing football on the field is absolutely ridiculous. Hopefully those in charge of Paris' well-being will shoot this down.
